  i love this place and nickel city. however, my brother and little cousin just told me that they remodeled nickel city, and it's lost all of its nostalgia and charm. they dont even use nickels anymore- nor tickets. apparently, they took out all the free player games, and nerfed some of the games with amazing payouts. makes me sad, as i have so many fond memories of countless hours of fun that i had there. guess nothing lasts forever...

  Wow, I recently stopped by this location this month and last May before I went on a vacation to New York City and a cruise from there to Bermuda with Royal Caribbean before I went to Six Flags Great America. Yesterday, as I went to Minneapolis last weekend, I went to Mall of America for my 2nd time and visited the Mall of America location by their sister restaurant chain owned by Landry’s, Bubba Gump on the 3rd floor of the mall (relocation from the original location on the 1st floor). Yes, sadly the Chicago location at Navy Pier closed in 2020, due to the pandemic, and the space has since became a Chef Art Smith’s Reunion restaurant.

  When I went to Mall of America for the first time in 2005, it was originally on the first floor at the time of me visiting the big shopping mall and where the Nickelodeon Universe is now used to be Camp Snoopy and later The Park at MOA before 2008. Though, I was never aware where the original location used to be at that time as I was only 6 years old when I went to Mall of America for my first time there back in 2005.

  I remember growing up in this McDonald’s. After school at Riley intermediate school my me and my mom would walk to McDonald’s and eat here. This McDonald’s was close to my house so I always went and ate here whenever my parents were fighting and abusing each other. I remember one time seeing a woody plush stuck up in the screws where the slide tubes connect. The amount of memories I had in this place is beautiful with friends, family and sometimes random kids.I could write a whole story about this place. Thank you for reviving my inner child, glad to see that it hasn’t closed.

  It's been a while. Just to let you know, I've decided to stop working for CEC. I'm been hit very hard by their changes - Rockstar Chuck, 2.0, replacing the animatronics with a dance floor, etc. It's gotten out of control. This does not mean I'm leaving the fandom by any stretch of the imagination, I just need some space from CEC.
