Hi everyone! My name is Julie and I am passionate about languages. On this channel I am doing profiles of different languages of our planet in order to inspire you to look deeper into them and maybe even to start learning some of them! I think that in the world where everyone tends to speak only one global language it is very important not to forget all the other languages as by learning them you understand the history and the mindset of people who speak them. If you think the same then it's a great reason to subscribe to this channel!

Old hungarians thought themselves as descendants of scythians. And huns were relatives. Some still thinks. Or thinking Scottish/Celtic as relatives. Then there are various approach regarding the origin, its a controversial topic here. Some are the everything is hungarian to sumerians, egyptian culture to Jesus. Or even Sirius. Yeah... Then there are hungarian american-indian tribes whose ancestors supposedly traveled there from Japan. The only record of them existing is the testimony of someone named Molnar claiming to speaking them in hungarian. Oh, and Crete were hungarian too apparently. Also the Avars. Also the etruscan...

Is it really just coincidence, I wonder, that, after the Norman Conquest, a contingent of Anglo-Saxons is meant to have travelled down to Constantinople and ultimately settled in and around Crimea (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_England_(medieval) ) ? It seems unlikely that there would be two Germanic peoples living side by side so far from their original homelands.

If you do not compare Turkish words with Sumerian words, you will have difficulty classifying this language. The richest Sumerian tablets in the world are in Istanbul and have you ever heard what Sumerologist İlmiye Çığ, one of the rare people who read nearly 70,000 of these tablets, said? You cannot change history with incomplete or biased statements, the facts will definitely come out.

I really wish people would stop spreading misinformation about KWRT as Nomadic tent dwellers that comes from Persian. This is why we hate being referring to as Iranian since they keep spreading misinformation about us and our culture. Kwrt or Kwirti is a Hurrian word for our people.

According to genetic research, Hungarians are largely identical to the people who lived in that area 10,000 years ago. There were no Slavs at that time either... Since the Romanians arrived in the Carpathian basin later, from the 12th century, there can be no genetic kinship with them. Slovaks have more eastern genetics than Hungarians, since they lived in a more protected area during the wars, so they did not die. According to some ideas, Hungarians speak the language of the Avars. The legends also mention the double conquest, and it is also interesting that, according to the latest theories, the incoming Hungarians were much smaller, a leading and military group than the people living here, so it is doubtful that the majority adopted the language of the from them. I think that the Hungarian language is the same as the Avar!

Unrelated to their language, some theories about the Ainu origin can get pretty wild, though logical. One possibility hinted at in this video is many peoples from the interglacial termination period around 15,000 BCE-20,000 BCE were on their way to the New World through the land bridge and may have had something of a staging area in the Irkutsk region(hence the mitochondrial DNA connection there) and also east of there, touching the Pacific Ocean, near where the Ainu now reside, possibly ‘stranded’ there once the glaciers melted. A migration like this may have been due to groups of people who resisted the present trend towards modern(and not nature based) civilizations.

The Sami culture may go way back or at least have a small genetic connection to Native Americans. Their languages would be unconnected, though, but their mutual love of nature may not be coincidental.

The part were you mentioned "Kurd" in middle persian means nomad or tent dweller is absolutely incorrect. This is theorized by racist ultra-nationalist Persian historians. Someone below correctly mentioned about the term Kurd.

In the Carpathian basin before our time, the IV. century, according to archaeological findings, it was a Celtic culture. Many Hungarians have a very high proportion of Celtic DNA. If you come from abroad and come across the Celtic name, Celtic street, Celtic promenade, etc. this is his explanation.

In my University (Germany) we have an Ainu language course this semester. It is truly a fascinating language, and I am somewhat intrigued by the Idea to go to Nibutani or Upopoy, where there is a chance to meet an actual aynu speaker and make one of those stupid cringy "foreigner surprises Japanese by speaking Japanese" Videos, only to then switch to Aynu.

I'm sorry, but we disagree on a few things (my intention is purely to help you). I would accept the sentence "Anna él Budapesten" only from a foreigner, because it is un-Hungarian (or not lifelike in the spoken language). You can use this order of words as i.e. "Sok ember él Budapesten" (Lot of people live in Budapest) but not when you call a person by name. The two correct examples would be "Anna Budapesten él" in this case the focus is on Anna living there (as you pointed it correctly). The second correct example is "Budapesten él Anna". In this sentence, the focus is on Budapest where that certain Anna lives. One more note. The letters "A" you pronounce are not according to the Hungarian pronunciation, but rather resemble perhaps the English one. The pronunciation of the Hungarian letter "A" sounds somewhere between "A" and "O". If this is important to you, try listening to original Hungarian language breakers, it will help a lot. Based on all of this, I realize that you are not a native speaker of Hungarian, so you can be forgiven because Hungarian is not easy at all... and you did a good job.
