They turned an American Ute (car with bed) into just another truck...ugh. If nothing else, since the they just go rid of the Camaro, why not just take that body, cut a bed out of it and call it the new El Camino. It would pay more homage to the original than turning it into just another damn truck.

GM trying to create another over priced vechicle using puctures from the past. I can't believe any internet information concerning the el camimo. Have to wakt to see if it's even affordable after dealers tag on a market increase of 10% or more, just like with the corvette C8.
It sickens me they're coming out with all these classic names but no classic car if you're going to bring back a classic car name it needs to look like a classic car not something from the future so disappointing

I had a 75 CJ5 with an all fiberglass body, everything fiberglass but the windshield frame. 4 inch suspension lift and a 2" body lift on 35" Mickey's. Had a slightly modified 304 and 3sp with the classic sidepipes. The thing was a beast in the woods without any lockers. Wish I still had it! This new concept is badass except for the Penta Star V6!!! Lol

I think it's great if the El Camino makes a comeback , But from what I heard in 2023 it was going to be a newer version of the legendary iconic 1970 El Camino , In this video the front of the El Camino looks like it has a twist of the newer Camaro & Newer Pickup that's already out , I believe there would be more sales if it had the looks of the 1970. El Camino.

All GM is doing from what I gather Is takin the discontinued Camaro drive train in parts. Which probably are the 3.6 V6 & 9 speed. And then next possibly a 5.3 V8 from the truck line for the SS. But the SS, I guess will be AWD. And then after the first introduction models have sold. Then down size the whole EL Camino at the end of its production to a Hybrid 2.0 4 cyl turbo.. If true. Then get the SS!
I've always been a fan of the El Camino...ever since my uncle brought home his brand new 1972 El Camino SS with the 454cid! The 1970 SS was the epitome of the model's existence...it had the maximum HP before the de-tuning of all the brand's performance vehicles...thanks to the 'energy crisis' that struck post-1970. It always seemed to be a love it-or-hate it vehicle...the hater's had no taste IMHO. If this is brought to fruition, it'll be interesting to see if this new generation can or will be accepted...
V6 .. SS meaning =all wheel drive, the Corvette began selling,when a V8 was installed under the HOOD. CHEVROLET listen to us.
