Hi?
What is the name of the brand of 3D pen you use?
Hi, In the video they are using a 3Doodler Create, but this video is from 5 years ago and since then there has been the 3Doodler Create+ and the 3Doodler Flow. The 3Doodler Pro series is also available and can be used for this project as well. Hope that helps.

Who else tried to do this with a regular pen?
I bought it today and PLA does not come out. How can I fix?
please reach out to [email protected] Please let us know what pen you are using, and a bit more detail about what steps you are taking. Did you start the pen first and then put the plastic in the pen and push it in so that its in the gears? We have more videos on as well that might help. Or you can try and go to our website www.the3doodler.com and check out the getting started section learn.the3doodler.com/getting-started/ it has lots of tip and tricks as well.
I fed a deer at Ruidoso😅
And now these are at the local store. Well, these or a clone.
Is there a way to make one wide tassle? Im trying to make a magic wand, and this lantern design would work wonders for the bulb area.
you can make the tassel as wide as you want. Just pick your size you want it and add more strokes and make it as wide as you want. This whole project can be scaled up to a full size lantern for example you would just have to increase the print out size by printing it bigger from the printer. Hope that helps!
Ive been doing it wrong lol I doodled it straight on the book 😂
How long can the create+ pen be set down (paused) using the stop function before the plastic needs to be reversed and removed? Does it need to be removed immediately to avoid blocking?
How long can the pen sit idle while on to transition from piece to piece for a project? It really seems like it can't sit with hot plastic in it idle for any amount of time.
@@markelcj you don't need to reverse the plastic when the pen is paused. The pen auto retracts the plastic for you. Before putting it away to store the pen you might want to retract the plastic out to make it easier to store it.
I burned both of my pointer fingers 😭
Same
My keeps getting stuck or not coming out and I fully charge it can I get some help
Will this handle TPU?
Is there? Way to fix it
Hey, every time I use my 3-D pen it keeps on turning red and not letting me use it
@gigisland9541, are you using the included power supply or trying to run it off some other USB port? It need's 2 Amps, 5v. Not every USB port will power it properly and then it will not have enough power and lose heat and go red or restart. If it's not the power supply please reach out to [email protected] and they can get you up and doodling asap.
Very creative
Stopping people from saying fourth
My 3d pen isn’t working properly so I’m not really able to use it 😢
please reach out to [email protected] and they can help you get back up and doodling in no time.
my pen is probably broken, it doesnt grip th filament at all. i can push it all the way through until it comes out the nozzle, but the pen isnt doing anything :/
Hello! We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your 3D pen. Please reach out to [email protected] with the issue you're having. They will be able to get you back up and doodling soon!
@@The3doodler I figured it out now. I thought I could use the filament I use for my 3D printer on the pen, but I didn't realize at first that that filament is thinner than the one the pen needs. And if it's too thin, the pen can't grip it properly. (answering in case anyone else was thinking they could use the 3D printer filament on the pen :') )
@@ilaac. Yes the 3Doodler Create+ uses 3mm standard (also some times called 2.89). Some printers us this size though most printers use 1.75mm these days. If you want to use 1.75mm then you should take a look at the 3Doodler Flow it uses 1.75mm material size. Hope that helps.
@@The3doodler oh thank you! If I had known I would end up buying a 3D printer years later I would have gotten a pen with compatible filament
Nostalgic video <3
Hi! I bought one, and i recently bought some spiral filaments, but my pen wont insert the spiral ones. I bought a ton of them and i dont wont them to go to waste, but can you just not use those ones?
the 3Doodler Create+ uses 3mm filament. 3mm is one of 2 standards for 3D printing. So if it's not 3mm ie if it's 1.75mm then no it will not fit in the pen as it's too small for the gear system.
@@The3doodler thank you for responding! Alright i wil try to figure something out!

Good 🎉❤😮
But can eat the suger sorry if that was Dumb question.
Hi @mattdelahunt301 yes you can eat the sugar, the ChefDoodler lets you make things like a 3D pen but using Sugar that you can then eat after it's been extruded.
😊
This is really fun. I do wish your narrator would have pronounced macaron correctly though. A macaroon is NOT what the baker was making a tower of.
maybe if it makes it out of the scamstarter stage.
We have been around for over 10 years delivering products on time with a full team. We invented 3D pens with the launch of 3Doodler on kickstarter over 10 years ago and we delivered on time. So we have a good track record and a great team to get it done.
@@The3doodler then why are you still acting like a startup?
@@technodrone313 Kickstarter is a platform for launching new products and exploring new items. We very much like the community that we found when we launched 10 years ago and we have brought our newest item to this platform so that people can explore this new space with us. It also helps for us to get insight into what people want an expect out or a item like the ChefDoodler. There are a number of big companies that are using crowdfunding platform to test out new idea. So Kickstarter is not just for startups. I hope that helps to answer your questions.
reserves are very expensive
3D doodler i lost my 3d doodlers charger and i dont know where to get it do you have any ideas?
We are 3Doodler are sorry to hear that you lost the power supply for your 3Doodler pen. Please reach out to [email protected] and please let them know what type of 3Doodler you have ie Start+, Create+, or Pro+ so they can best assist you as to were to find a replacement power supply.

Chocolate pen
it seems quite obvious
I'm in!
I'm excited to see it in action. How will the pen set the chocolate as it comes out of the pen with its low melting point? Plastic sets quickly at room temperature.
@@RichardBarclay Depends what additives are in the chocolate? They have regular 3D chocolate printers so this will just be a smaller scale? Or you have to use it inside a walk-in freezer?
Seriously? An announcement for an announcement? Dumbest shit I’ve ever seen.
Cool
I have filament dried in the nozzle, how do I get it out?
heat the pen up. You will always have filament that hardens when the pen is off. The filament will become soft again when it's heated. If you are trying to get it off the outside heat the pen up and use a paper towel or tissue to wipe it clean. If you are trying to clean the inside of the nozzle, don't as you can't really clean it and it doesn't need it. Nozzle will melt the material in them when they heat up. If your pen is having an issue please reach out to [email protected] 99.9% of the time it's not the nozzle, we have only ever seen a very small set of issue that are the nozzle it's almost always something else. hope that helps.
@@The3doodler thanks!
你们那个打印笔质量不行啊,特别是夹紧耗材的那个部件,椭圆形的已经坏了,连配件都没得买,我整支笔就报废了。
Hello im first *Edit* i still have the 3doodler create+
I may or may not have lost the cord to my 3Doodler create+ and I have been searching but I can’t seem to find what kind of cord to plug it in is so I can buy a new cord
3.5mm barrale jack center positive (the dot should be going to the +) 5V, 1.5~2Amps (the amps just need to be higher than 1Amp) hope that helps.
Thank you
Ive been heating/charging my pen for almost 4 minutes and untill now no colour light has appeared
Hi I am sorry to hear that you are having issue. First note the 3Doodler Create+ dose not charge it has to be plugged in at all time to function. If no light is on the first thing I would do is check that you have the power plugged into the right hole. You want the one that is near the top of the pen, and is off centered with a pin coming out of it. Some time people accidentally plug a pen into the hole were the filament is supposed to go as they are about the same size. If you are plugged into the correct hole and have turned the pen on to either PLA or the ABS/FLEX setting the pen should light up red while heating up. Then after about 1~2min it should change from red to Green (for PLA) or Blue (for ABS/FLEX). If you are plugged in correctly and the power socket is working and what not, but you are still having an issue please reach out to our customers serves team and they can help you. You can reach them at [email protected]
This looks ugly but with the same idea, you can do it out of paper.
