You left out the cost of your yearly car tabs. And I bet Winco is cheaper than Trader Joe's for groceries. You also did NOT include any medical/dental costs, especially co-pays, unless that was part of your extra insurance costs. My PSE is only $100-125/month for a 1500 sq ft home, including central air. You also did NOT include monthly savings which should be a MUST for anyone below retirement age.

Seattle is a ship hole. Even the tourist areas are dangerous and even the nice areas can be dirty. My husband and I were in the nice area and this lady kept staring at us so my husband stared back and she was taking a ship. A big ship 2ft from the sidewalk. At night you will find addicts chasing people with needles, wanking in bus stops, people breaking things and gunshot. In 2023 Seattle set a record for homicides. Breaking a record that was held for 44+ years.

Being in Texas, and watching this happen here, I can say with deep satisfaction that a lot of these folks jumping ship from their jacked up states and come here go. I don’t tend to remember an umbrella but plenty of people use an umbrella when it’s raining. It doesn’t look like it’s raining so maybe I just think it’s only raining when it pours.
Inland Florida between Gainesville and Orlando's northern suburbs like Mount Dora is hillier, shadier (more trees), breezier, and less humid than the coasts. A friend who just closed on a house in Cape Coral south of Tampa stopped by yesterday and mentioned how much more comfortable my place in NE Florida (east of Gainesville) is than the one he bought in Cape Coral "where it was 85 degrees and humid at sunup." It is humid and 87 at my place, but pleasant unless you are doing physical labor outside. Another person who WAS doing physical labor outside (as I was) said the same thing. Nevertheless, I keep a summer place in Michigan to escape to in the hottest part of summer. For some reason, I found Atlanta and North Georgia, where I lived 14 years, to have hotter summers than North Florida. I think this is because we almost always have some sort of wind blowing in from the sea in summer to give a hint of cooling, especially in afternoons. But anything from Orlando south is going to be blazing hot, as it is lower elevation and full of humidity boiling out of swamps and shallow lakes.

Lived in Seattle WA starting in 1998 and left permanently in 2020. It has absolutely changed and can be squarely blamed on liberal gov policies. It manages to escape a lot of the pain of LA (where I originally come from) and SFO due to the Tech industry (where I work). It's a beautiful city, but has not yet hit bottom but it will. Just give it more time.
Uh, your number one reason is actually the BEST reason that someone wanting to move to seattle would want to hear. You're basically telling everyone they can move there for free, or if there is an issue with their land lord they wont be kicked out onto the street. I think you want your number one reason in your "Reason why it sucks to buy or own property In seattle"
I am not sure this lives in Seattle. First his accent seems to be suppressed, and not all the way. He mentions coming South From Tacoma to Seattle, and then shows the Puget Sound Map backwards so that he says Tacoma is north of Seattle. He continually does the same thing with all his maps. What a complete turd. Not sure what turd is trying to do. Seattle 8000 a month? Not. More like $3000 for a single person. With reasonable housing, and board. Though you might have to fight for that housing. This guy seems to be reiterating the top news story reasons. Not to say that living in Seattle is everyone's cup of tea, and many of the reasons he gives are reasonable things to check out. But he obviously does not live in the region.
