THE RIGHT TO REPAIR is probably one of the top issues in the United States. This could destroy a society/country.
Class action suits... The right to repair is a very basic controversy. It would be good if more lawyers payed some attention to this. The the problem is systemic in industry starting with 'planned obsolescense' and the light bulb. Recently one very very critical area is with farmes. Tractors ... Farmers now cannot repair their own tractors or they violate the warranty. Part of the problem is digital gagetry. We have an old 1950s tractor and never have much of a problem and we don't do huge amounts of farming. This is a national famine waiting to explode because when these digitized tractors go belly up...maybe close to the same time... farmers will not be able to grow food. This is a national security issue. A young person who works at a tractor repair business said a farmer recently brought his tractor in for servicing within a month of purchase and it has been sitting in the shop for 3 months!!! This is in spring. The farmer cannot do his work and the payments for the new tractor keep going on. A disaster... Hope someone reading this pays some attention. Note to farmers... buy nonchipped/nondigital tractors. More could say about other areas of the workforce being hit with planned obsolescense...

So, I felt I had given Onus of proof, with written letter from my doctor, with x-rays proving the standard was not met, as with naked eye which the doctor doing the work had two be able to see, and actually took pics of his work. I should not type that as it allows said person time to delete but I'm always honest with what happens to me. Breach as the only other doc was not impressed with what was done and stated as much to me. Cause I had to learn to speak properly, had sever sensitive, unable to bite on side used as post, and was always quite painful. It only got worse as time went as it dying and abscessed. In my doctors letter he states as such that the work done buy this unit caused my pain and grief, hell the company even stated job was rushed. As I was also suffering from huge anxiety from being medically released after serving 22 years to be treated and spoken to as I was. My therapist said if you can't say anything don't as what comes out of your mouth during these times usually won't help as your in fight mode. Yes I was suffering from depression, PTSD, anxiety, and emotional grief I loved what I did and to be told what I was from the Unit Master Chief, I just had to suck it up as I positive I'd have gone from honorable discharge to dis-honorable. It also kind of depends on the circumstances of the trial. I saw a video covering medical malpractice. Someone was supposed to get their leg amputated but the medical staff removed the wrong leg which led to the patient losing both legs (because they still had to remove the correct one after). The compensation for it was around $6k. But a man lost one of his testicles in a botched medical procedure and his compensation was $800k. For context, he only had one functioning testicle before this so he would have to use testosterone therapy for the rest of his life. That's the main reason he got so much but the difference between that and losing both legs is massive.

My need to hold my daughter’s abuser accountable is not about money- it’s about showing her that the truth does matter and that SHE matters-that it’s NOT OK THAT HE VIOLATED HER. I have no interest in dragging the whole nightmare back up or getting entangled with lawyers, courtrooms or any part of the “justice” system….which I am disgusted and repelled by. Her own grandmother and aunt chose to take his word over hers! She doesn’t believe in justice or the power of the truth. She doesn’t believe good has any power over evil. Maybe she’s right…. What could ever make this right? And why would she ever again even bother trying after the last time. To this day she hates me for making her tell and for taking her to the police station. I want so badly for her to see the world differently and for her to be vindicated and for him to be held accountable and for my mother and sister to realize what they did and to validate her and apologize for not believing her. I want so much for her to realize the truth always wins and to restore her faith in the strength that is derived from doing what is right and standing up for yourself and for courageously confronting anyone who commits an act of wrong, and for standing firm and refusing to be silent in the face of evil. And there’s NOTHING I can do to show her those things. He took that from me and from her.
My daughter came forward ONE month after it occurred when she was 8 years old. I filed charges and she was interviewed, all alone, at length by the lead forensic child psychologist for the state of Nevada and ALL investigators and child welfare workers agreed unanimously that she was telling the truth. However, because there was no physical evidence, and the perpetrator refused to even speak to investigators or take a lie detector test and immediately lawyered up, and because he lived out of state, they never even attempted to prosecute him. They said it would be his word against hers and because she was a child, they couldn’t win. She was brave enough to come forward and all her bravery did was alienate her from her last two living family member, besides her mom (me), which were her grandmother and her aunt, who both chose to believe this man they had only known a couple of years over her. She and I lost our entire family over this man’s actions and it ripped apart our lives. I promised her the truth would come out someday and she cried to me several different time over the last 8 years asking when, mom? When will it come out? Desperate to get back her relationship with her aunt. The detective said she could file a civil suit when she turns 18 but now, at age 16, she just feels like there is no justice in the world and the last thing she wants is to dig up that horrible event that completely destroyed our family and was the catalyst for so much unhappiness that followed. I want him held accountable so badly, but I will never again push her to step up and confront the man who hurt her after the utter and complete nightmare she experienced after she told me what happened 8 years ago and followed me into the fire when I told my family and pressed charges.
