It just sucks that kid show media fandoms are insanely invasion and sexual, especially towards minors and minor characters. I completely get adults will make adult content. They should and Im not saying that adults shouldnt make content that may be more adult in nature. Thats fine. But when theyre either involving minor characters, problematic content, and/or involve minors into the content by exposing them to it is just scary. I was sadly exposed to adult content from fandoms that involve minor characters at a very young age, and no child deserves to see that. I feel like child shows that gain a huge fandom should have a clear seperation between minors in the fandom, adults in the fandom, and NSFW content. Like I said, I dont think NSFW content in a fandom made for kids is 100% bad ( ofc depending on the show/game ), but it shouldnt be shoved to the kids. Let kids be kids and just enjoy drawing and write fanfiction and not have NSFW in their face that could lead them to harmful and dangerous parts of the internet

I mean as a adult who's a fan of Bluey, I don't really want to engage with a fandom. I'd rather just talk to my friends who also like the show and just recommend the show to friends who might be interested. I don't really understand why fan-created works are given such a pedestal next to the show when anyone can write a fanfic and anyone can draw fanart, when the barrier to entry is non-existent then you'll end up with crazy people every time.

Also, the replacement of Robot's torso parts with a boombox was a reference to the Ship of Theseus thought exercise. As we grow and evolve, we are both the constituent parts and the narrative that was a part of the journey. The Robot dog had known was no more -- now he was something completely different which showed the growth of his character.

I am a kid so I shouldn’t really be watching this video but I have little cousins like baby cousins that watch bluey and I watch it with them. I also know that they watch KZread kids. I have told their parents the dangers of KZread kids and even though I’m kinda embarrassed I used to watch KZread kids and I did come across an elsegate video which as a kid I didn’t understand. But I do watch these types of videos to make sure that my cousins don’t come across videos they shouldn’t be watching. I warn their parents to make sure to monitor what they’re watching and they do because most of the stuff they watch is on TV and when they’re with me I make sure that they are only on Disney+ when watching bluey and definitely not KZread. I watch these types of videos mainly for the protection of my cousins.

As a kid I grew up in the my little pony 2010’s brony fandom and i remember all the terrible things adults would write or create about a kids show. The fanfic by a certain terrible person in the mlp community specifically come to mind. I was just a kid on forums trying to find other people who liked my favorite show. But instead I found a lot of adults who found it funny to expose kids to crazy disturbing things. I never went back to forums after that and to this day if I like a show I stay as far away from fandom as I can. This stuff can cause severe trauma and it’s not ok just because ever fandom has insane disgusting people doesn’t mean we put up with it! I watch Bluey with kids I babysit and it’s so terrible to think that they could end up seeing this stuff!! I’m honestly scared for them when I remember my experiences.

I'm glad that more people like you are noticing those disgusting accounts because I was one of the people that were traumatized by one of there posts and reported them. How come when bad people post bad stuff they don't get what they deserved even when a bunch of people report them, but a good person who posts good stuff, then some mini pack like 2-4 people report them just because they don't like it, get banned or removed. How cruel some people that own the apps can be (not saying there bad all the time just sometimes they don't give the bad people what they deserved). (also I'm 1year late sorry I just noticed it now heh.)

I can 10/10 see this becoming gen alphas version of the mlp fandom, as someone who was traumatized by the mlp fandom this fact scares me very much. While yes most brony's have come to appreciate mlp horror it doesn't stop what lead us to this point being horrific and not ok, I really hope since this has happened before we can stop it now but sadly there is no guarantee it will be stopped. :(

This sort of content (not limited to Bluey, this is applicable to all childrens' shows which garner a fanbase) is created by what I can best illustrate using a Venn diagram that encompasses autism, shock/edgy content for the sake of it, elsagate profiteers, actual degenerate fetishists and actual children without supervision. If you have a child that's the actual target demographic for this show, you should not be giving them unrestricted internet access regardless. Short of all of humanity becoming a hivemind you will not be able to stop people from creating this content, but you can keep your children away from places where it's likely to be found.

i didn't know about the dark side of the bluey fandom, i used tiktok to watch episodes of bluey before i had disney+ and ran into a video about bandit "s/a"ing bluey and it's almost completely ruined the show for me. bluey was a show i'd watch after work, during one of the most stressful times of my life and it would calm me down, now whenever i see it i'm reminded of that tiktok and it ruins it. i'm currently trying to recover and get that tiktok out of my mind so i can enjoy the show again.. i'm 19 if anyone was wondering but i have trauma associated with sa subjects especially with family related csa so it's a huge trigger for me.

Thank you for taking the time to go over some of the details in this movie! Robot Dreams is a such an amazing film and details like these are a lot of fun to learn about and really make me appreciate a film all the more with how much time and thought was put into making them. I'm not sure if this one counts but one detail that kind of got to me when re-watching the film was when Robot is being pulled by the Alligator junkyard owner, I believe there is a "Wrong Way Go Back" street sign or something along those lines seen in the background right before Robot gets thrown into the junk pile and destroyed as well as, in my opinion, the sign having a double meaning representing his relationship with Dog that Robot is going the wrong way further away from him and to go back to where he was at beach or else Dog won't be able to find Robot. You did such a great job on this video, it makes me want to re-watch Robot Dreams several times and see how many more possible details are out there as well!

Regarding 13:16, animation director Benoit Feroumont draws himself as a bear on social media and you can spot this character on a framed photo on the William Bell's Happy sequence where Rascal and Robot are browsing stuff on the Flea Market.
