just because "every fandom has perverts and weirdos" doesn't mean that we should just allow them to exist within the fandom(s) completely unchecked. adults in a fandom which is aimed at and filled with minors, have the responsibility to protect those minors. take 2 minutes to send in a report or email or whatever, it wont hurt you to.

I think it would be very helpful to inform parents about this kind of behavior on the internet. I don't think it's possible to erase this kind of behavior, but if we inform parents, then they could hopefully keep a better eye on what their kids seeing on the internet. - from a former kid with zero parental supervision the internet.

PS: I recently left the Brony fandom for G5. FiM is not as good as people still say and the base was chock full of nazis and pedos, and don't get me started on what they did to me when I began to disagree on their (shitty, copy-paste, extremely low budget) "work of art". G4 toys weren't as good as what G5 has and that's the one thing that base doesn't understand about MLP. It's separated by merchandise, not a cartoon, animation just made to promote said products. God people are idiots......🙈🤦

i just finished this video and oh dear… that thing you stated about that bluey plush with the certain.. custom places… was actually shown to me before by a really disgusting individual. ive never been more traumatized of something like Bluey before i saw that.. i also heard that people at my younger sisters school are showing certain things like this related to Bluey. what a sick, sick world we live in.

I've been in the Sonic and the Brony community for years now. Repeating history is the LAST thing that should happen. Especially regarding the subject matter.

Sadly the person who wrote the [REDACTED] fanfic intentionally traced art of mine to tie into their thing. And- yeah the writing disturbed me horrifically I couldn't finish it (my fault for giving it a read). I also ended up in a VC on Discord with the writer, and they seem to get a kick out of their chaos. Even a few people I knew who are drawing stuff relating to that just- blegh. Then you also got those accounts on different social media platforms who post... NSFW. The person also had posted some of my art too (all be it a completely different person) and- idk. Being an artist in this community is a bit too hecktic. Like- I was just spending one afternoon outside and all of a sudden some new tea is spilt all over. nfjkwnfjen.. I've been in the community for like 6 months now and I can safely say the fandom is getting more and more unstable, but that is if you can't find a good place to sit down and post your work. Also great video mate, keep it up!

Well, considering people uses midia to express themselves, even negative feelings, is normal to make art to deal with negative emotions in a safe and healthy way. It would be worse of they kept bottle up For why they used bluey, or any other children cartoon is a mystery. Maybe is a show that brings comfort, so they feel safe exploring dark topics with this show. Maybe it is curiosity to know, what if this innocent show was mess up? At any way. If they dont do mess up shit in real life, uses midia responsibly, and above all else is being respectful to others, I dont think anyone one here has the right to judge

Video games and movies aren’t the best examples, I’m talking more about an individual who encourages/normalizes inappropriate actions or behaviors towards characters (literal children btw) in the most disturbing ways possible then spreads it online in which this case children are most likely going to see because it’s characters from a children’s show. Point is, it isn’t safe nor appropriate to do with minor characters (especially ones from a popular kids show) and if in your mind you think that’s okay behavior it’s a huge red flag, in most cases people fantasize these behaviors then act on them in real life. Like how an artist will draw inappropriate art of a feral dog or child then claim that it ‘isn’t real’ and they don’t think that way towards real animals or children, then why do you feel the need to draw it?? Something in your mind must have enjoyed those things to have drawn them, smh, there’s no excuse.

A friend of mine saw a piece of fan art where the wolf from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish does very inappropriate things to Bluey. It's disgusting how grown men and women have a crush on a character from a preschool show who hasn't reached the double digits yet.

I remembered reading a horrific fan fic out of curiosity I stumbled across it. I don’t remember much or the name but I do know it was taken done but all I remember was chilie stabbing bluey in the foot and putting her in the stove. Thankfully it was taken down and many revolted against it. But this goes to show no matter what show, movie, book or whatever there will be always someone to squander it and it’s just like what bluey explains in one of the newer episodes “once you put out something in the world it’s no longer yours”

This makes me honestly so so sad, bluey is so close to my heart and a huge comfort. To know that there things out there like that is truly heartbreaking, these social media companies need to do a better job with regulating the content on their platforms :(

As someone who was a child during the “brony fandom era” I was really hoping older Bluey fans wouldn’t ruin it for the kids like with what happened to me- this is just sad bro

Every fandom has their 'creepy uncle' faction: Dungeons and Dragons, Yu-gi-oh cards, Pokemon, My Little Poney, Bluey, etc.... I can go on and on, but you see what I mean. It's an unfortunate reality. You bring up a good point of exposing minors to such horrors. Here is the thing about that- Minors shouldn't be on the open web (twitter in particular). Adults are supposed to help educate their kids on disturbing media and fetishes. Sadly, parenting is a lost art and now we have swathes of pearl-clutching alarmists who want more censors instead.

Hearing about the art was a bit kinda definitely ewww 🤢 but at least for the fanfic side I know for a fact AO3 wouldn't be able to post something like that without it being not rated or Explicet. If you're not logged in, on a new account, etc it comes up with a warning saying this is not rated/Explicit and not to read if you're a minor. I can't find myself getting upset over the fanfiction. My friend wrote a fucked up story once just because someone told them to. Some see it as a challenge and others see it as a type of therapy to vent out their own trumas. If things are tagged then it's really on the parents what their kids are doing.

I do get what you're saying however we can't just let this keep happening. Yes every fandom has creeps but we shouldn't have a "eh, that's every fandom" attitude about it. If an adult is creeping on children we need to call them out. An adult trying to show kids their porno or a smutty fanfic? Call them out too. I'm not saying we censor everything that could be wrong or that no one can create art. People have the freedom to create but not the freedom from consequences. A person that openly admits they think about children in a sexual manner and writes about how hot kids shouldn't be free of criticism just because they're an artist. There's pearl clutching and keeping creeps away from kids and making sure they don't get preyed upon.

This is a very well-portrayed analysis depicting how one the purest and most wholesome pieces of pop-culture media, can be distorted into a pit of metaphorical darkness, pervertion and insanity, of course there's a difference between creating disturbing imagery and content based on the show (some of these are actually pretty well written and their creators are aware of the show's main demographic, sending a message to express their stories are meant for the mature side of the community (e.g The-Suburbian-Guy))... and being an overall terrible person; not all of these creators fall into these category The vicious cycle repeats and sadly, it happens to every fandom eventually... it's just a matter of time. Some former "Friends" of mine essentially stabbed me in the back when a bunch of shit went down, and what makes it worse is that when I try to follow somebody new or interesting in the fandom, without fail every time they catch wind of what these morons are saying about me and then they block me. So much for being an inclusive fandom.

As someone who has been in the Bluey fandom since 2021, I have seen how it’s been getting worse over the years. On the KZread side, those animations are terrible. I’ve seen at least one from every cartoon I watch. I feel bad for the minors, including myself, who have stumbled upon those terrible videos. As for the FanFiction side, I usually enjoy reading creepypastas, but sometimes it goes to far to the point where it’s not fun anymore. I don’t have Facebook so I can’t really say anything about that part. Now of course all fandoms will have bad things like this, but I’ve never seen a show that is aimed for preschoolers have this much terrible things. Thank you to all the good people in the community, I wish everyone was like you.

I can 10/10 see this becoming gen alphas version of the mlp fandom, as someone who was traumatized by the mlp fandom this fact scares me very much. I never searched them up after this video but after rewatching it I dug through some of my memories and I realized the amount of images there were. Just a warning to look out for these images outside of Facebook, try to avoid looking in the hidden replies of the official bluey twitter account.

Really sorry all of that happened to you, I'm glad I could bring a bit of awareness to all of this stuff going on!

As a kid I grew up in the my little pony 2010’s brony fandom and i remember all the terrible things adults would write or create about a kids show. The fanfic by a certain terrible person in the mlp community specifically come to mind. I was just a kid on forums trying to find other people who liked my favorite show. But instead I found a lot of adults who found it funny to expose kids to crazy disturbing things. I never went back to forums after that and to this day if I like a show I stay as far away from fandom as I can. This stuff can cause severe trauma and it’s not ok just because ever fandom has insane disgusting people doesn’t mean we put up with it! I watch Bluey with kids I babysit and it’s so terrible to think that they could end up seeing this stuff!! I’m honestly scared for them when I remember my experiences.

My channel’s been practically drowned out temporarily due to those bluey animations that popped up out of nowhere back when I was just starting to share some Bluey animatics on this platform, and I sincerely apologize to anyone that was subjected to seeing these elsagate videos. While I can’t attest to the rest of the topics (aside from Reddit harrassing artists for not drawing the characters like the style of the show), I just want to share my input on what’s been happening since my part in this community for 3+ years. This definitely aint just for bluey, i feel like similar fetish content of kid stuff is seen so much in the past with stuff like pregant elsa and spiderman and shit fetish videos od cartoon characters

Kudos to Jax for leading me onto this video, Bluey is another example in a line of shows that have great content and morals... but attract the absolute most devious and demented people to ever roam the earth.

I like bluey and all but the fandom is a nightmare thank you for talking about this

idk why but to me: the "bluey inflation" thing could be interpreted differently than what's said in the video, in my eyes it could probably be an actual episode (at least in the money inflation)

I found a Bluey fanfiction worse than that one mentioned in the video, it's titled "Bluey's worst day" and it is the most fucked up thing I've ever read. Trollfic or not, it left me stunned.

Just to add a bit about to the story in the second chapter, the fanfic's author side of things have also come out and said the Christine mentioned in the video made some up stuff in their "PSA" (as it was put from what I've gathered). Judging by tweets and this videos upload date, Christine and the author seemed to have now come to a sort of peace and is moving on from each other after this video was uploaded (maybe this video had nothing to do with it and it's just coincidence). So, take that for what it's worth.

I glad you didn’t mention it’s subreddit, as for some reason it had a bizarre majority of it’s bluey redditers attacking furries or newer fans for not using the ‘orthodox’ fanart and so-called “rules” that wasn’t approved by it’s moderators, aka the show’s art-style or having your typical anti-furry bs.

As someone who is an OG Bluey fan that first watched the show in 2018 and got into the fandom in 2020 and someone who also lives near the Bluey country Australia. Yeah, its bad. I really hate how something as wholesome as Bluey can be turned like this. But oh well, its the internet. One of the bluey fandom places i hate is the discord server The Heeler House, you get banned for doing the slightest thing and you just end up getting ignored.

I'm glad that more people like you are noticing those disgusting accounts because I was one of the people that were traumatized by one of there posts and reported them. How come when bad people post bad stuff they don't get what they deserved even when a bunch of people report them, but a good person who posts good stuff, then some mini pack like 2-4 people report them just because they don't like it, get banned or removed. How cruel some people that own the apps can be (not saying there bad all the time just sometimes they don't give the bad people what they deserved). (also I'm 1year late sorry I just noticed it now heh.)

As a minor under 13 that has read the mentioned fanfic. I have never been more happy that the presented reallity in the fanfic is not cannon, the stuff on it, like : young kids smoking (only happened once), gore against the 2 girls, mackenzie stealing his dads beer and getting drunk with bluey,and much, much more. No person should be making fanfics like this, and if someone wants to find bluey horror, please watch a horror movie that doesnt involve physically and emotionally hurting minors.

Don't forget elsagate came back with terrible Big City Greens "episodes" and I think from one thumbnail I saw I think cricket green was pregnant and is sitting on a hospital bed, however, I tried to find it but I couldn't find it, I don't know if I was hallucinating or it's real but it feels like it doesn't exist anymore.

So I managed to find the creator of *redacted fanfic* Looking at their Twitter, I think the obsession with violence, gore, and weapons has to do with him being a soldier. I think he might enjoy war a little too much. As for the grammer errors, the fic was originally in Spanish so it's translation issues.

Reporting usually go's nowhere and this is honestly just fandoms in general. Often minors are the ones who create the disturbing content themselves. And sadly parenting isn't as good as in the show itself, and kids are let to roam free and expose themselves to places and content they honestly do not belong in the first place. Watch your damn kids, bottom line.

what a shitty, unproductive attitude to have about anything in life. that's like telling someone who just got attacked on the street, not to report it, because "its obvious cops arent going to do shit about it". yeah, with that attitude, nobody is going to give a shit about anything and nothing will ever be done about any issue ever. the problem is that when you don't even bother to try reporting something, because you've decided in advance that nothing will get done, you are allowing individuals to get away with things, which encourages them to keep doing it, and keep making worse content each time to be more and more edgy. once 30,000 or 300k emails come in saying "hey Disney just thought you should know your IP is associated with this content", they will want to protect their IP and their reputation, especially as one that is wholesome to children, above all else. they're not above tracking down the writer or artist who makes adult content with their characters and threatening legal action; in fact, Disney is notoriously known to send out C&D's to internet artists drawing inappropriate content of their characters, and have been documented to send staff to scout places like artist alleys at conventions, to specifically put a legal stop to this. saying "nobody will do anything about it" is just an excuse to be too lazy to mouse-click a few times and send Disney an email or hit a report button.

Oh wow, Story on Bluey Plushies having those Custom bits to it... Made me remember that I came across DeviantART account with someone using Official Plushies like MLP, built a Bear, Pokemon and I Think I saw like Paw patrol? ,(another kid show) . Now I don't think I have seen Bluey plushies on that account (I just hope not to see it at all) But Just seeing Ponies and Pokemon characters are getting extra bits sew into their plushies body made me gross out. Like these Plushies are not custom made by themself but they look like the person went out to a toy store, brought it. went back home and sew on those ugly looking "pockets." and from What I remember the person have been doing commission and selling these "Custom" Plushies for people. But anyway Sadly, sooner or later any Kids show might fallen into this weird stuff since this is the internet Afterall. That is something alot of us can't stop. it just best to report or avoid those weird stuff when you see them.

This is a very serious topic, and I don’t want to ignore everything in this video. You’re doing good work exposing these horrid people into the limelight. But why did you censor the word gun? I would assume either for sensitivity reasons or monetization worries. It just stood out a bit silly to me. But I don’t want to take away from this video, it’s still amazing. 😊

i didn't know about the dark side of the bluey fandom, i used tiktok to watch episodes of bluey before i had disney+ and ran into a video about bandit "s/a"ing bluey and it's almost completely ruined the show for me. bluey was a show i'd watch after work, during one of the most stressful times of my life and it would calm me down, now whenever i see it i'm reminded of that tiktok and it ruins it. i'm currently trying to recover and get that tiktok out of my mind so i can enjoy the show again.. i'm 19 if anyone was wondering but i have trauma associated with sa subjects especially with family related csa so it's a huge trigger for me.

I follow an artist on Instagram whose Bluey art I genuinely like. However, they tagged one of their posts with the redacted fanfiction. It was art of a character that does appear in the fic, Shaun, I think his name was, but it wasn't violent or anything; it was simply the tag that threw me for a loop. I let them know in a comment that the fic is f'd up. The rest of their page is generally fine, though

I love how people say "MHA is the worst fandom" or "Furries is the worst fandom" but they have never looked up Bluey on DeviantArt. To me, MHA is just two characters kiss kiss hehe like its just a buncha kids shipping tbe characters in the show. Furries can be weird, but often times its not too outrageous. But Bluey is just on a perc, like SA fanart is so prominent in the Bluey fandom it's insane.

8:20 the fanfic is weird (I remember stumbling across it, it had Muffin being snatched by a crocodile and in the next chapter being absolutely fine with no mention of it) but this honestly sounds like a child trolling/getting overly curious about edgy topics. They're being a dick but it sounds like a child wanting notoriety that's better off left to yell into the void on a blocklist. 10:00 yeah that sounds like trolling+fetish :/ people would do violent MLP animations without warnings because "haha people will be shocked and startled more if I don't add a warning!!" wholly ignoring that the IP being for **children** means people outside their bluey adult 'target audience' could stumble across it. It sucks. There's no real recourse beyond individual site hosts' policies, drawn CP isn't illegal in America for the most part. Sorry you stumbled across that.
