I stopped watching all pro sports after the pandemic. We really got to see who matters in keeping the world going and I can no longer stand or support paying people who do nothing to better our world millions of dollars a year while the person taking care of the elderly people and making sure they are healthy and safe and happy are living just barely above the poverty level. So they have no health insurance and have constant worry about keeping a roof over their family and keeping their family fed. A few years out and people have already absolutely forgotten who the real heroes are. I refuse to support things that do not align with my values any longer… be it sports, music, whatever. Be the change.

A generator needs fresh air for cooling the engine, you might have to vent for the engine so it doesn't overheat

Great Job and fun video to watch! Your set up may not be considered legal from a home fire hazard though. The other minor butt slapper is when you need to service your hot water heater which is now heavily blocked with your new box, have fun with that…

Enjoy your content specially gathering fire wood and chooping them somehow it feels therapeutic. I wanted to ask shouldn’t you put some wood treatment so they dont rot or anything like that being exposed exposed to rain and snow and sun.

Longer rounds of the smaller stuff allows them to extend onto the tailgate, and if dry you get more wood, same weight.

I’d like to know where you are at. Beautiful area. You will sooner or later make longer rounds, even 3 or 4 feet that you can handle easily. Fill the bed cut them up and chop at home. Safer. More efficient.

By the way, GAS fumes are heavier than air, so your are likely creating a very large boom potential fueling in the garage if you have a pilot lite on that water heater or if it is running when you fuel your generator. Not good. Fuel the generator outside. Your Gas Water Heater must have fresh air to burn properly, so you really should not wrap anything around it. Personally, I would never put anything gas powered in the same room with a gas water heater. Gas fumes from your mowers and fuel tanks always seep out and it only takes a little bit of gas fumes to reach that fire on the water heater and boom! Just say'in !!!

Since your box is so air tight, you have to have as many square inches of air intake as you have output. If you don't you will burn out the fan motors and probably never achieve really low temps in the box compared to outdoors. Also, if you want to make your generator more quiet, you need to totally isolate it from the walls of your box and back wall as much as you can. Otherwise your generator beats on the walls like a drum radiating sound through the walls and box. If you can suspend the generator off the ground like on 4 big rubber feet, it will help with the sound. Anyway, hopes this helps. Also, you want to keep your exhaust fans from blowing on your input air, otherwise your just doing a circle of hot air blowing out and going right back in again. Something to think about.

Its looking good Diego, your doing "top notch" work. However you guys are making me cringe beating that froe with a iron hammmer and grinding the edges of your tools instead of filing them. If you make another mallet, instead of the square peg handle, carve the handle on one end of the log, so its all one piece. Dave Caterbury shows how in this short video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/m36M0td-hr2caLg.htmlsi=seOm1oAWrnpxZaz8

Love your vids & I’m not try to police what you’re doing but you should consider putting one of those saw dust cover pouch deals on your saw. My grandfather died of emphysema & never smoked but he did cut lots of wood in his saw mill in Cuba & breathing in that saw dust over the years likely did him in. Keep up the great work!

Diego, put the same metal roofing you have in your cabin. It will look cooler imo. What you really need is the flooring for the woodshack so moisture won't get that easy to the logs. The cedar tree would be nice for an extended garage that you need for your truck or a workshop. Take care Diego.

OK, what about the pilot light on the water heater igniting the gas fumes? Presumably the fumes are being expelled out of the box to the outside… Except when you’re filling the tank?
