Si es a la musica en si, toda la musica cubana es igual de hermosa, los cubanos son grandes genios, cachao fue uno de tantos, su sobrino Orlando cachaito sigui tambien su camino y tiene varios temas interesantes. Te recomiendo ver el documental "buena vista social club"

This is one of my all-time favorites. I recently suggested this as an audition song to a high school student so I revisited this version. So much is made nowadays in musical theater of taking the "option up" so here is a singer hitherto unknown to me, Eileen Gourlay doing this 50 years ago on the final note! I also find the London lyric changes an interesting counterpoint to the original New York productions. Brava, Ms. Eileen Gourlay! And to you the poster for this rarity! Much appreciation from "across the pond" from California.

Un recuerdo muy especial para mi, haber puesto esta obra cuando almorzaba con mis hijos en mi strmberg carlson y al otro lado del disco de vinilo un concierto que de momento no recuerdo, creo que es número 5 también muy bonito. Siempre lo hacía y con este gran celista. Un tesoro para mi tener ese disco. Gracias por haber compartido esta obra, mi favorita con este instrumento y solista que amalgaman perfección y sonido muy fino y de una belleza muy especial.

One of the amazing things about hearing Leontyne sing this is the difference of vocal treatment she brings to the RCA recording. Summertime, demonstrates the most luscious of Lyric Soprano lullabies in the opera, While Serena exhibits dramatic qualities; and Bess presents a bit of BOTH (very similar to Puccini's Tosca)! Price exudes all three fantastically on the recording with William Warfield. That said, I have not heard a Soprano YET...in many decades, who perform this aria with the excellence and nuance of Leontyne, whether recorded or live!

WOW! When Pat Boone sings this song it sounds like he's struggling to hit the high note and hold onto it but Harve does it without any effort. His version is amazingly beautiful.
