MuscleCarOfTheWeek

What is Muscle Car Of The Week?

We gained access to an amazing collection of prized, rare, sought-after American Muscle Cars, and the owners of this astounding lot of cars have allowed us to shoot video features of them.

The cars cover all makes of Muscle Cars, ranging from AAR Cudas to ZL-1 Corvettes, and each week, we will post a new video featuring one of these amazing cars from The Brothers Collection. You will not find photos or info on this collection anywhere else, as we have exclusive access and no other media outlet, TV show, or magazine has ever been let in.

So if you like awesome Muscle Cars... like a 34 original mile 1970 LS-6 Chevelle, a 1967 Mustang with 3 miles on it, dual-quad Hemi 'Cuda Convertibles, 1 of 1's, etc., then you NEED to subscribe to Muscle Car Of The Week!

Afree with everything except that vinyl roof... But then, there was one originally, so it's legit. Nice rebuild of a great driver! Hope they drive the wheels off this GTO!

Its needs to be discussed that this car is a sham. It’s a cool car, but it’s not a street racer. Why is nobody calling it out!? The guy is tame in the interview but he’s claimed that it’s know for beating everyone. It’s a completely stock hemi and would been blown out by most guys at the time it was supposedly racing. No car that might have won half the time becomes legend.

Back in the day...if you could put 100% of your torque to the ground in a Stage 1 Buick, you would never lose a race.

Overall, hydrogen-powered engines have the potential to produce significantly more power than gasoline engines. For example: If the Boss 429 was powered by hydrogen, it would likely produce around 1500 horsepower and 1200 lb-ft of torque. This would make it one of the most powerful engines ever produced.

There's a Ferrari like this: a 250 is bought, raced a bit, then disappears for a bit, then reappears with a Vignale body and races for like a decade, with the new body. The car was later restored to stock and the body moved onto something else (a 275 owned by J Geils of "my angel is a centrefold" fame apparently). So the car is back to insurable stock, but the body with the racing history is somewhere else.

Saw two of the original eight 69 convertible TAs that were built sitting together in the same body shop in South Minneapolis back in late 1998 where I was checking out a used Jag that they had for sale. I'd owned a 69 Firebird from 1985 to 1996 and had done some reading in that time, so I assumed these were just conversions done on regular 69s for fun and asked the guy if that was the case. The guy said they were the real thing though, and I could only take his word for it. I did not buy the Jag (thankfully).

    1. Take the parts car and make it into a race car with the parts they pulled off this one. 2. Drive the mint Boss 429 through a Cleveland snowstorm. Why? '' I'm jealous!

The Buick 400, 430 and 455 were all the same block, and that block was 1.5" wider than a SBC, but only 30 pounds heavier. Considering a BBC was 900 pounds, and a max of 454 CID, the Buicks were much lighter, and the 455 had more displacement... I put a "mildly" improved 455 in my first car (1968 Impala 2-door Custom) in high school. It came stock with a THM-400 and 2:56 gears in the punkin. She got a mid-grade RV cam, dual exhaust and an 830 thermo-quad toilet. At 4,280 pounds with 5 gallons in the tank, that 455 would light up both rear tires at 25 mph and keep smoking until I got my foot out of the carburetor. It also got 12 mpg at 80 miles per hour between Montana and Kansas. What an American icon.

My first car was a 1971 Lemans Sport. It looked identical to this car except White, no rear spoiler and, of course, no "The Judge". Mine had a 350 2bl. I learned how to drive in that car. Good times!

I had 2 1968 Camaros & a ‘69 Z-28, with the fabled 302. I now have a 1968 again. The ‘69 Z was a disappointment. The 302 was a dog, unless you had it in the R’s. Reminded me of a wild 2-stroke dirt bike. That was the one I don’t miss at all - curled dash and all.

This car's styling was ahead of its time in 1970. Mopar was just getting around to mimicking the first generation Camaro in '70 with the Cuda - which leaned heavily on its styling from the first gen Camaro. While Ford's Mustang in '70 was following its trend to increase overall size of the Mustang, which started in '67 and by 1973 it was so huge that Ford had to reinvent it with the Mustang 2 - nuff said on that car. Yep the 70 Camaro was good and mimicked cars like Ferrari more so than anything on this side of the Atlantic. I still prefer the 67 or 68 Camaro over the 70, but it's so close as to almost be a tie. Chevy really had things going in 1970, perhaps their best year ever. Thanks Kevin for video and its subject, the awesome 70=1/2 Z/28 - better late than never to throw in a comment and like.

I personally liked the '70 Boss 429 Mustang better. I had a '70 fastback Mustang but it had the 5.0(4.9) liter engine. It originally came with the 2 barrel carburator but I changed it and the engine running a double pumper 700cfm Holley carburetor. I loved that car.
