You can mix this colour easily with indanthrone blue and quinacridone burnt scarlet (both DS), you wont get the granulation but do get the beautiful colour and if you use it on textured paper a granulating type effect.

Hello there 👋 I'd like to know if this set is better than the miya travel watercolor kit or not ? Also is this set dye based rather than pigment based, please help 🥹 I'd like to purchase one of the miya sets as a gift 🤍

Sorry, but uv glass, museum glass and other products are shown to block the vast majority of UV rays. Unfortunately there are other parts of the sunlight spectrum that ca be harmful, and it is expensive. I would not trust ready-made frames and craft store glass, but a reputable framer.

Moonglow is a nice color for effects, but I have made variations and developed my own version that can be adjusted to my needs. The separation of colors has a fine effect in itself. It all depends on what the person intends to accomplish.

I also don't understand why people use Alazirin crimson, you can mix it with a quicricdone rose and viridian for example.

i havent painted with watercolors yet, do i need to do anything special to make a colormix "seperate" into 2 colors when painting? like using mass and undertone? or does it happen naturally with some mixes? I have no idea but i want to know. hope you will answer. i find your videos interesting, and helpful thanks

Thanks for this review. Four years later, I still love my Pretty Excellent (Mei Liang) set. Nowadays it comes with the paint poured into actual separate pans, a nice improvement! I just bought my first set of Paul Rubens, the original 24 pan set. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Since they already have an Ultramarine with the same pigment, PB29, what would you say they differences is between the new Ultramarine Deep and the regular Ultramarine? Is it just the amount of pigment? Thank you for your videos 👍👍👍

I recently found out that you mix PBr25 with some PB60 look more like a slightly warm Burnt Umber that doesn't granulate (I am not a fan of granulating colors in most cases). Now if I could just find a non-granulating dupe for Raw Umber...
