Welcome to Wigs With Steph! I'm STEPH! I started my channel to offer support, encouragement, education & inspiration for those with hair loss- and even just for people who love to wear wigs for FUN! Wearing wigs, finding the right wig for yourself- ESPECIALLY when you’re new to wigs- can be scary! Lots of us decide to wear wigs because we want to feel like ourselves again... Believe me, I GET IT. That's exactly how I felt for years. I started my wig journey many years ago (after trying clip-in extensions, tape-in extensions, trips to the salon every two weeks…) You name it, I've probably tried it. Hair issues definitely affected my self esteem and prevented me from living my best life! If you’re feeling this way too, I am here to tell you that you can turn this around and CREATE MORE JOY in your life by deciding to wear wigs! It will set you on a path of self discovery that will last a lifetime, and give you confidence that you didn't even know you had.

You look amazing in that wig 🥰. I like your sunglasses too. Where are they from?
That’s the only rooted color I’ve ever liked. They’re either black, or too wide, or reddish. This one looks like dark blonde roots.
Omg I love this wig!! I also have to say that I am now a blonde wearing wig person after trying it on. It is just soo beautiful. The color of it, the cut, how much hair is there ,I love it all. Thank you so much Stephanie for introducing me to blonde wigs. I would have never guessed that I could be a blonde haired girl too. I will never go back. This wig gives me exactly the look I was looking for and when I am in it I feel beautiful. Thank you Stephanie and BelleTress wig brand.❤❤
Please tell us about the wig brush as this is the first you've spoken of it!
Steph, what wig are you wearing while talking about the silicone spray❓
@@anni1937 it’s Kristen by Jon Renau: wigs.pxf.io/Kristen_JR ⬆️(this link will automatically give you 30% off the site by the way) ❤️🤗
Ohh, that is gorgeous Steph! I love RW’s “Iced Latte Macchiato”, what would be the closest colours in BT?
You are gorgeous with or without a wig!! Truly!💕
Crushed Almond Blonde R looks amazing on you, as well as the style. So excited that you are reviewing a Belle Tress wig. Simmer Elite was my favorite wig until I received Mui by Belle Tress in Shaken Oatmilk. The caps are a little large on me, but stay on fine with a wig grip. I am sold on Belle Tress HD fibers, they are amazing. I find the BT fibers do not knot as easily as the RW HD fibers. I also have Santa Barbara, which is the first non-hand tied wig that I have found comfortable to wear all day long. You will love the Lux collection, the hand tied cap is amazing. I having been eyeing Chloe from the Lux collection.
I struggle with an needing an ultra petite size wig and a light.density... all I see are super short pixies which is fine for now but want something longer... any suggestions? I can't seem to find anything!
Hi Steph, any suggestions for a petite, low density style that is shoulder , or a little longer length that is simple like this one. I love this on you!
Is this a small cap?
Can you try Charlotte by Envy? 🤍 Love your reviews!
Wonderful! I have a natural blonde, and the rooted colors are typically so dark in the roots. I’m so VERY HAPPY that someone has listened and has lightened the root!
Hi Steph that colour looks amazing on you! Just curious, what brand of wig grip are you wearing?
Hi Step💖It looks beautiful on you! Ty for another awesome video💖
Are you guys already a fan of the BelleTress wig brand? Or have you not tried it yet?! I used to not be a fan.... BUT.... this wig has changed my opinion on their new collection!! 😍 Can you guys recommend to me another BelleTress style that you think I'd like? I'm totally open to trying more by them... THANK YOU for the recommendations 🙏
I am so excited! I ordered this week based on a previous recommendation of yours and it should arrive this weekend! I would LOVE it if you could do a wig care or styling video using THIS wig in particular. As always thank you for the great content! :)
I do take it off sometimes when I feel uncomfortable. I envy those people that go out with bald head and don't care about what others think. and if I would see you in the street wouldn't think your hair looks bad or anything. it is good that your daughter see you accept yourself as you are ❤
Lol😂😂😂
how often should we be washing wigs? I wear Heat Friendly like once a month right now.
you brought back memories of the summer I visited Barcelona. I was in very turistic place, waiting my turn to get into a Gaudi building under the sun and wearing a Jon Renau synthetic dark wig, fully hand tied, I had to wear a white hat over it otherwise it was unbereable, felt like it was melting for real, everyone listen, those are the hottest hair pieces you can wear. I finally managed to get into a bathroom and take it off, what a relief.
Can you do a makeup video? My husband told me there are thousands of videos on putting on makeup... I told him, "Yeah, I know! But I already know that I love your look and I would love to know what brands you get and how you do it!" I am in my 40's and never had money or time to wear makeup very often or learn how to do it correctly. I would love to feel like one of those beautiful women, to final feel like I can be beautiful too, I think it is time. And you always look amazing!
Fook! You did that at the Stampede? I'm not even a Calgarian or even been to the Stampede, but as a fellow Albertan, I'm sorry all the same that you had that experience.
Could you please tell us how do you bleach it and make it look natural without messing up your wig your friend Teresa .
Hi Teresa! 😊 The wig I'm wearing in this video is synthetic, and unfortunately, you can't bleach synthetic wigs to get rid of the knots. For synthetic wigs, I recommend looking for brands like Raquel Welch, BelleTress, or Jon Renau. These brands often design their wigs with lighter synthetic fibers at the front to create a natural look, which can give you a similar effect to bleached knots. However, if you're working with a human hair wig, you can bleach the knots. I’ll be doing a video soon to show how I bleach my human hair wig knots. But here’s a tip: it’s always a good idea to check with the company you’re buying from to see if they offer knot bleaching services. They can do it professionally, which helps avoid any mishaps that might occur if you try it yourself. I hope this helps, and stay tuned for the video! 🌟
Hey Steph … I love your channel girl … I need your advice … I have a wig that I looooooove Luna by Ellen WILLE I know you have this wig also … I have her in the Bernstein multi shades … and it’s just a little to warm for my skin tone … have you ever toned a wig with alcohol and rit dye? I’ve seen it done but not on these great quality wigs … just wondering if I can “cool” the tone of this beauty slightly so she compliments me more … any advice is appreciated… keep up the great work my friend ❤
Hey there! 🌟 I totally get the frustration of a wig being a bit too warm for your skin tone. I’ve faced that issue before too! I wish I could say that toning with alcohol and Rit dye would be a foolproof method, but unfortunately, I can’t recommend it for synthetic wigs. The materials and processes used in making synthetic wigs can lead to unpredictable results if you try to alter the color yourself. Instead, my best advice is to return the wig and get it in a different color that suits you better. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s much safer than risking a DIY color change that might not turn out as expected. I’ve tried adjusting the color before and had mixed results, so I prefer to stick to wigs in the right color from the start. Hope this helps, and thank you for the kind words! 😊
Amazing informative vid good job ❤
Wow, I honestly thought that was really your hair. Just beautiful!!
If EVERYONE would NOT go thru the scanners, we could get the govt to get rid of TSA. We don’t NEED them anymore!! PLUS going thru these 5G scanners screw with your DNA. YES THEY DO!!
Looks great but I immediately recognized it as a wig. But after all, I am a pro, others dont see it 😂👍👍👍💐❤️
37deg C is very hot! perfectly understandable. At least you only took the wig off 🤣
I bought one from there - I really like it but the color faded after about 6 washes. It was the 067
Thanks for information.
Your natural hair is beautiful, and trust me I'm not completing. Wigs are cute on you, but you are so pretty without them ❤❤❤❤
I’m petite as well and have purchased a wig in the past that completely overwhelmed me
In the summer, I wear a hairpiece or baseball cap because I am the same way in the heat. You are beautiful by the way. New subscriber 😊
Thank you
I recently (actually today) got back home from a long trip. I went to a neighbouring country (I live in Europe) to visit my best friend for a month. I only brought one wig with me, because I was in a crisis situation with my wigs... basically this is the last one that's still wearable and that I feel I look good in, but it's also really hanging on a thread. It's a long, curly human hair wig but crap quality, so after 2 months of wearing it now it gets matted within 2-3 wears no matter how well I detangle, wash, condition and style it. I could put a whole bottle of leave-in conditioner in it at once and it'd still feel dry and coarse. It's also gotten so thinned out by now you can actually see the tracks through the hair in the back. (It doesn't shed a lot, but it loses a lot of hair every time I have to detangle it.) It does still look cute when freshly done though, if you don't look too closely. I made an order for two new wigs a month before my travel, thinking I really need something fresh and new to bring with me and I surely have enough time, but I had the worst luck with that! One of those wigs got cancelled because my payment didn't go through properly, and the other got lost in shipping. So I couldn't bring either of them, and was left with only my one "good" wig that's on the brink of death. For such a long trip, and the disastrous condition of that wig, and having no backup wig, I really had bring all of my supplies for my travel: blockhead and its table attachment, shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner, hair bond treatment, coconut oil, combs, brushes, water spray bottle, and so on, and then just continue washing, detangling and styling it as I normally would, and be constantly anxious about if the wig is gonna end up too matted for me to be able to rescue it. (the nape area has really lost its integrity and very easily gets matted.) Luckily that's doable when you're staying at a friend's house and needing to bring enough stuff in a large suitcase to manage for several weeks anyway. Although I could very barely close that bag lol. It did work out alright though. The wig is still hanging on... somehow! Thing is I'm kinda broke and really can't spend thosands of dollars on good wigs, and I get skin reactions from synthetic wigs. So that's how I always end up with over-processed, likely floor hair, human hair wigs that start breaking down within a month, and then it's just downhill from that point on, until they'se so matted from just one wear that they're physically impossible to detangle. Likely because this hair has no cuticles and I really doubt it's remy. I'm not really sure how to actually solve that situation. The wigs you wear is like a whole months worth of my income. It would take me years to save up for one, decades for a whole collection. So me travelling with these kinda low quality human hair wigs is kind of a nightmare lmao. Especially since my travels tend to be really long, like 3-4 weeks. But even that, is actually surprisingly doable.
I never heard Graves disease and hyperthyroid as two separate things, or that you can have Graves disease without hyperthyroid. I've only heard them used synonymously.
I was diagnosed with Graves/hyperthyroidism too. Was told I could take the iodine pill and be done. I refused, was on methimazole for a year, and metoprolol for several months...felt like a slug and gained 30 POUNDS. I went off for 6 months and back to Graves again. Took gluten out off my diet and 3 months later labs were back to normal. Take out the gluten people. My joints stopped aching, my hair improved oh and women take prenatal vitamins no matter your age, and I just felt better. Thank God, Do you homeopathic research.
I have a gluten sensitivity! I asked my doctor if that had anything to do with it and he said no. Thank you 🙏🏽
WOW, those wigs are incredible expensive! I wanted to buy one but it's way too above my budget. But thank you for your videos! I love what you are doing! ❤
Wear what you like. After all, it's you who is wearing the wig, or anything else. Happy birthday to me, tomorrow, July 28th, 2024!
Lots of great info! Great tips!
I really loved this and feel so much more confident wearing my wigs out thank you! ❤
You have hair !!!!
😅I think your wig looks quite natural as it isn't too heavy. The died hair look, with the natural hair growing out, can fool anyone, although I don't think this trend is a nice look for anyone. If we go back many decades, you would be described as looking cheap if you didn't touch up your roots regularly. But this way manufacturers of hair colour kan keep selling more dye, as the pressure of keeping the colour even throughout the hair, is off.
Wow, this piece is so pretty on you. The color and style are "you"! And it definitely looks natural. 🥰
You are the only one that addresses this. Simmer is a great wig but it needs heat and your video is so comprehensive anyone can do it Thank you! And a bid follow❤
That's crazy because a Japanese study proved that remission rates are actually REALLY high if you stay on methimazole for 5-10 years instead of the 12-18 months that the US does. I'm glad following your gut worked out like this. I was diagnosed with Graves' this past February and also was ignored by my doctors for a long time. I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest and they told me it was anxiety. Being in the ER with a heart rate of 180 bpm a WEEK after my primary care told me I was fine was really upsetting to experience. I was finally diagnosed by wonderful ER doctors.
This wig is fabulous
I feel your pain! I live in Spain and lost all my hair through chemo... It's like 40 degrees here at moment so I have a wig in plaits in my car with a baseball cap and it goes on to go into supermarket then off again when I get back in the car... I love November -May here but I avoid going out during eves in the summer or having gatherings as I hate being bald in front of others... I don't care at home but just don't feel feminine all make up on then a bald head <(
Hi Steph! I have a quick question about putting a wig on the back of your head.....do you put the wig over and under the wig grip, or do you let the back of the wig rest on top of the wig grip? Thanks, Stef!
So glad you've given yourself some grace... I live in TX where the Summer heat average is 96-100 degrees F - similar to your stampede experience... Because of this, you will find me with a hat when I do go around town to do errands... I will only wear my wigs for work and for going out to dinner or something like that where the weather is climate controlled LOL. And like you said, it is ok. The important thing is to be comfortable with who we are. ♥
