How To Put The Original Wave Back Into Simmer

Hiii friends! This is how I put the wave back into my Simmer wig (Simmer by Raquel Welch). I've had this wig for (probably) almost 3 years now... My point is, if I can do this on a super OLD wig, you can definitely do it on yours! Now, I'm not going to say my wave is identical to the original version, but it is VERY similar, and it's my favourite way to re-wave Simmer. I do it like this every time. I always get compliments on this style I'm showing you how to create today, and I hope you like how it turns out 🥹 💞

You are the only one that addresses this. Simmer is a great wig but it needs heat and your video is so comprehensive anyone can do it Thank you! And a bid follow❤

Steph, a student noticed my lace front and thought my skin was peeling! I cut it closer to the hairline, and it blends in so much better. Thank you for giving me the confidence to make adjustments. Simmer Elite is expensive, and it’s worth every dime if it lasts and can be customized!

Hi i watched a video on using thinning shears to fix tangling and it really works! My wig was so thick on the back of my neck and i went to town thinning it. And after restyling using method in this video it looks great and i can run my fingers thru it.

Such a great and informative tutorial!!! I wear my Simmer for about 10 hours a day 6 days a week-so this will be a regular part of my life-thank you❣️ Have you ever tried to thin the nape hairs to keep them from tangling on sweaters or jackets? Or would that not help in your opinion?

I saw a video on KZread saying using thinning sheers and cutting breaks into the hair will keep it from tangling for life pretty much... I'm afraid to do this. Has anyone tried? It takes away some bulk and puts in breaks like human hair has

  • @amygardner7154

First time wig owner😁 to make sure I understand- if you have a straight heat friendly synthetic and you curl it with heat, it becomes curled (even when washed) but if you later straighten it with heat, it will be straight again (even when washed). Is that correct?

Hi Clara, I've just done that with my Unfiltered. She has built in shattered waves but was looking a bit too shattered.😂 I just went in with the curling iron & starting from the bottom picked up each curl/wave & following the pattern of them, literally tightened them up with a bit of heat. It looks gorgeous again.

Thanks for making this video. I saw where someone said to lightly spray water on heat friendly wigs and then curl it. Have you ever tried that way? It looks good the way you did it, I’m just wondering if you’ve ever tried it?

I wouldn’t suggest putting hot tools on a heat friendly synthetic wig when it’s damp or wet because it can cause damage to the fibers or cause the fibers to stretch. My thoughts are also, why change what’s working great 😊

@@WigsWithSteph I totally agree. It sure looks like your way does work. I was shocked when I saw the video of the lady spraying her heat friendly wig lightly with water and then curling it. She said it made it hold the curls longer. I also agree, I think it would damage the fibers more. You could hear the hair sizzling. She said it was only the sound of the water on the wig. (LOL) I’ll try your way.

Nope, this is how I do it for heat friendly synthetic wigs. Just copy and you’ll get the same results. (There’s no need to cup because it’s synthetic and takes really fast). Plus, we’re not trying to get tight curls, we’re wanting waves.

Thank you 🥹❤️❤️Yes I have, but I prefer not to dampen the fiber with water before applying a hot tool to it. I wouldn’t think that would be good for the synthetic fibers longevity at all
