Sweet Triple

Sweet Triple

Welcome to Sweet Triple, a Moto Vlog Channel dedicated to everything motorcycles. The theme of the Channel is loosely based around my Triumph Street Triple 675 R.

I film most of my rides and fill my time by talking to you guys as I ride! When I get the time to edit the footage I'll share my rides and adventures with you all.

Luckily, I have some great dealerships near me and they are occasionally mad enough to let me loose on their new machines. From this channel you can expect first impression videos of some of the latest machines.

The channel will also provide the occasional gear review of kit I’ve bought myself and have done the research on. I'm excited to share my thoughts on everything I do with motorcycles on my journey to find the best bikes, tyres, kit, peppered with some rambling commentary on my day to day life.

Whether you're an avid motorcyclist, new to the game, thinking about getting on a bike or just love watching Moto Vlogs I'm hoping you'll enjoy the ride!

    It’s awful. The kerbs are jagged tiles rather than smooth, the track was ruined by putting Edwina’s in to slow down the lake esses and the bus stop is a joke. EMRA is a joke for letting experienced ACU holders continue wearing novice bibs. Try Donington National instead.

    I'm concerned with volume levels. Is the Serket much louder than the OEM exhaust? I was going to get the Competition Werks but heard that it's too loud based on other people's experiences. Same thing with SC Project exhausts - too loud.

  • @sweet-triple-UK
    @sweet-triple-UK2 ай бұрын

    The Serket is noticeably louder than the stock exhaust, but I wouldn’t say it is too loud. The SC is apparently much louder than the Serket. I’m not too sure about Competition Werks but I’ve heard they are loud! The only time it’s been a bit droney is on very long rides that I do about once a year when I go on the annual tour but I wear ear plugs anyway and would recommend anyone riding a motorbike do the same (Auritech are my favourite and cheapish). General riding it just improves the exhaust note and turned it up a few notches in volume. Haven’t tried it with the baffle out yet mind.

    Glad your problem is solved! For future viewers having a similar issue I would like to comment my experience with hot start issues on my 2014 Street triple R, as ive had 2 different issues: - When your bike cranks fine when hot, but is not happy to start without applying throttle, it could be the reed valves of the SAI system. I deleted mine and the issue went away. - If your bike cranks rather slow or doesn’t crank at all (only a clicking relay), and you’re sure the battery and charging system are not faulty, the problem is most likely the starter motor. These Denso starters all seem to start to fail at around 30-35k miles. The issue is more well know on the Tiger 800 (same engine), as they make more miles usually. The starter will ask for more and more current as it wears and at a certain point it’s too much for the battery when starting hot. To add to this last point, changing the battery can mask the underlaying issue of a slowly failing starter because it can deliver more current. I changed the battery and the issue came back after 4 months. Hopefully it won’t be the same for you but at least you know where to look ;)

  • @sweet-triple-UK
    @sweet-triple-UK2 ай бұрын

    Thanks for watching and for some really useful nuggets of information there. I will defo keep an eye on the starter motor if the issue persists. I also wonder if our generation also suffer with the reg/rec issues of old. I’ve heard some say that triumph fixed this issue in the newer model 675s (2014-16) but also some saying that they are all the same!

  • @SanderG97
    @SanderG972 ай бұрын

    @@sweet-triple-UK yeah the R/R was such a weakness on the earlier models. It was mounted towards the rear of the engine and the heat would eventually fry it. The unregulated current would cook the wiring and connectors and eventually killed the stator, a pretty costly affair. They changed the R/R and it’s bracket I believe in 2013 so that it’s facing towards the rear wheel, in a cooler spot. They very rarely go bad on the new design as far as I’m aware!

    They are quite unique, they have the torquey mid range of the twin and a little bit of the top end rush of the 4 cylinder too, so best of both worlds IMO or maybe a “compromise” of both? I would’ve loved to go there but too much work on! 😅 Looked like you had a great day, especially with the Bike Shed visit! Not been there yet but definitely get over there this summer!

    It was a good day out mate, riding through the capital was pretty cool, and not something I’ve done before.

    It was a great day at the motorcycle show London, let me know if you have any questions on the bikes and I'll do my best to answer them all. Thanks to @harveyridesbikes and @iamguymarkham for inviting me to ride with you!

    Hi. Cheers for the content. Hope your channel grows at a decent rate. Do you have the premium subscription for calimoto? I'm curious if it shows any speed camera warnings or info

    No problem mate. I’m really hoping the channel grows too, so please consider subscribing (if you haven’t already). Yes I have a premium subscription annually. However if you just want to dip in and out I believe you can buy a week at a time to make it cheaper. Following this video CaliMoto has introduced speed limit indicators on the app which is a great addition and yes speed camera warnings have always been a feature. However I don’t trust speed camera warnings as “foolhardy” and best to keep an eye out for signage as the vans can pop up anywhere in the UK. Thanks for watching!

    after watching your vid, first time with jetwasher today, as so many differing opinions on them lol. i used clear water, then snow foam, then rinsed, and was surprised just how clean it came up (even the wheels) before using a microfibre glove to get the heavier stuff off, but there wasn't too much to worry about. imho as long as you dont pressurise the water too much and dont point it anywhere obviously silly it's no problem. I have a variable adjustment on my karcher nozzle so lowish pressure is good. TX

    Mate totally agreed, there are so many purists that are like "that will wash the grease out of your bearings" 🥸but if you lower the pressure, and back off a bit of distance between the jetwash lance and the bike, it's no more powerful than a garden hose anyway. I just use a bit of common sense with it, as do you! Glad you enjoyed the video mate. Enjoy your nice clean bike, and don't forget to subscribe for more bike related content! Currently editing my Spain tour! Having some issues with Audio though 😩
