    Use whatever you like but just wearing basic earthy colours and being still always works - hands and face are definitely important to cover though.

    Ghillies you dont just use the burlap. Thats not real camp. You have to actually put vegetation in between the netting on the ghille. Th e Burlap is only to break the sillouette. Or at least a legit ghillie. A full pre bought suit is frowned upon in the Marine Scout Snipers. It must be hand made.

    You left out the job of cleaning the ghillie vs. camo suit...🤣 It takes me an hour to remove all the weeds, seeds and other stuff that sticks to it. So I got tired of cleaning, and I haven't used it for a few years now. Now I use a 3d camo suit. Greetings👍.

    Interesting comment. For the avoidance of doubt can you define the attributes of the “real” photographer and then discuss why you think the product is “crap”. The Tragopan products that I own are superb.

    Not to pile-on, but this isn’t entry-level gear. It’s a considerable investment, and there’s no harm in taking reasonable steps to keep it intact.

    I guess a lot of photo backpack brands don't use their products. Front opening means straps and back padding on the ground collecting dirt. I thought it was easy to figure it out.

    That's a very poor deduction. I've been using this bag on a daily basis for several years, so you are wrong here! Whether it opens at the back or the front is a very long debate. I shoot a lot of shorebirds on the sandy beaches, and having the front of my bag with all the pockets lying around in the sand collecting sand and dirt doesn't give me much pleasure, whereas having sand on my back doesn't bother me. When you open the front pockets, the sand runs into the pockets and it's not great. The weight is certainly high, but the level of protection for the equipment and the foam reinforcements are much greater than on other lighter bags. It's all a matter of deciding what you want to favour, the weight or the level of equipment protection. This bag is also designed to be used standing up when out on the prowl or in the car. These are needs that I have and the reason for my decisions on the design of this bag. I'm not saying that the rear opening isn't good, but the perfect product doesn't exist, there are different products for different uses. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

    They should have put the hole down on the first one. Or at least the option. That way you could put it also on tripod. It looks nice although!

  • @Mi_lardon
    @Mi_lardon4 ай бұрын

    yes, but then it would have killed the possibility to carry it on a strap from the tripod collar, the small cap on the lens hood would have been upside down. And frankly the small cap make a real difference about the amount of water that spread on the front lens when it is heavy raining. This is the reason why we've made two models.

    The camouflage pattern is fine, but the colors are very distracting, it doesn't seem to work in any environment. In the environment at any time of the year except winter, there is no white, and the shade of green looks completely different. The tent will be eye-catching instead of camouflaging.

    keep in mind that both suits are very low level equipment and are very likely to be very reflective in the UV and NIR range, portions of the spectrum that many animals like birds and ungulates can see. This will actually increase the likelihood of being seen by those animals. In addition, such suits do not allow you to apply vegetation and natural elements. This will impair your camouflage since adding local vegetation is crucial to mask your smell.

    So I watched this again. The V7 lens sleeves are using a pole clip instead of the center-release buckle their previous designs used. I guess the big question, which you answered, is whether their added room with floor can work with this. But now I’m wondering how secure and strong those pole extensions are?

  • @Mi_lardon

    yes the additional room with floor is compatible with it. For the telescopic poles, we've tried them intensively before deciding to use them.@@tristramstout8988

    What I don’t get us this. It appears that there are two mesh ventilation panels at the top of the hide. The rain fly goes over the top of the hide. With the rain fly in place, one can still see laterally through the roof mesh panels, right? So on a cold winter day, what can be done to prevent the cold wind from entering the hide under the rain cover and through the mesh panels. Seems as if it could get quite cold inside the hide if the wind were from the wrong direction.
