    How do you find the OME on road? A bunch of folks comment about the fact that it’s similar spring rate as stock, saying it’s still a bit wobbly and not an improvement with load carrying. What’s your view? In my country it’s basically OME or Pedders. Whilst Pedders seems a better fit for my use case, it’s hard to ignore all the security you get with OME. They give a very nice guarantee. I also ask because I’m looking at a similar roof setup. Especially weight wise.

    How much does it cost to install air locker both in the rear and front?

    Would a 80mm tough dog suspension lift be too much for a 4 door jimmny ? Your opinion?

    Leave the traction control on ya twit. It's not as good as real lockers, but you still would of got up there using just trac control, it simply would not if been as pretty.

    Yeah I got rear locker and never looked back, the rig never fails and I live in the Wild West coast of Tasmania. If I’m in 4wd I have that rear locker on and blitz every obstacle in my way, Rear diff locker is a must on a jimny.

    Hey mate, love your rig. I currently drive a 2006 gen 3 silver bullet but the new black one is arriving in a couple of weeks. Question, with the 40mm lift, what offset did you get on the rims and did they rub at all? (want 235,s but not the rubbing lol...had to trim my guards big time on the 2006). Thanks in advance. Greg

    Great video! Quick question, in total you only needed 3 breathers out of the 6, right? One for the gear box, 1 for the transfer, and 1 for the differential. Am I right?

  • @BillyGoatJim
    @BillyGoatJim2 жыл бұрын

    Hi, there’s one each for the front and rear differential and one for the transfer case, I’m not aware of an other 3.

    Hi great video, most seem to miss the gearbox and transfer case. So why did you not just tap the diff breathers and fit the adaptors straight in? was it just easier for you to use the larger hose like we all did years ago.

  • @BillyGoatJim
    @BillyGoatJim2 жыл бұрын

    I didn’t like the idea of tapping because I didn’t want to risk having swarf from the tap fall into the diff. I know some people use grease to mitigate this.

  • @overland_adventure_nz

    @@BillyGoatJim Thanks, I can understand that. The first time I had to tap a Cylinder Head after a customer had damaged the Spark Plug threads was scary, but I had forgotten about that over the years.

    For front and rear tie downs I have used the M6 Bolt in the rear as shown. However for the front I have taken out the trim fitting under the rear seats and fitted an M6 tie down there too. 2 Second Job and Front and rear tie down on both sides.

    Love the ARB bullbar but have one eye on weight which is an issue with the jimny and GVM. Been thinking of using ATV winch which most manufacturers make say sth like a 4500 lb T max that weighs in at under 10kg. Any thoughts? What winch you install?
