Which one is the best.
3:08 you put the visor down silicone strip facing down so could collect dust from Pinlock packaging
4:01 you didn't reclean the inside of the visor before again inserting PinLock
Damn these blasted movie mistakes... showbiz isn't all it's made out to be! On a more serious note, though. The cardboard Pinlock sleeve comes from a sealed plastic bag. I doubt it had become very dusty in the few moments it had been on the counter top. Also, why repeat the cleaning process after it has already been cleaned? Each to their own method, though.
Unfortunately they compare apples with a watermelon. The Rukka Rapto-r (or the newer Shield-r) is not compareable with those previous models. It is comparable with the Rev-it Dominator 3, the Richa Armada gtx pro, Klim, etc… and indeed Rukka’s my favourite as well.
Hi. Excellent review. Thank you so much. I got mine recently. Just some help with sizing if somebody is not sure. I am tiny guy : height 182 cm, chest 96 cm, waist 86 cm = M size fits perfectly. 🙂
I have both Revit and Kim jackets, I’m surprised that you didn’t have anything from Klim
Only useful if you happen to fall exactly on your back… Mechanical Helite turtle is only a bit more expensive and has a lot more protection.
the shoei neotec 3 is TRASH! I just returned mine because it doesnt work with the 'plug and play' sena system AT ALL. It's crazy. you install the headset. lift the helmet up by its strap and all the trim starts popping off like dominoes. Theres an entire Reddit page about how awful the neotec 3 and matching sena system are miss designed.
Not a complaint we've heard from our customers, so far. Nor have we experienced it ourselves. Sorry to hear you're having issues, though. Best thing to do would be to reach out to your dealer. Shoei has a good aftersales department.
This people are crazy 🤣🤣🤣 500+? Pass
Everybody who gets on a motorbike has to be a bit crazy. Otherwise it doesn't work! However, €500+ for a top class is not classed as expensive these days. Bikes are generally cheaper to buy and run than cars. But, if you require good gear with sufficient options - then you need to invest a little.
You didn't say anything about peripheral vision.
That's true! It's good, though. Decent enough to see all you need to see.
Just got an AGV k3 and installed the pinlock provided in the box. But i can see 2-3 glares. Any way to fix that?
Could be that it has been set up too tightly. Try removing the lens, adjusting the pins and trying it again.
I am glad you did not include BMW System 7. That helmet has 5 years warranty, and first broke (the chin strap) just after 3 years. I got replacement and that second one broke also after 3 years. The opening mechanism (the line) broke and it is no opening anymore. So this helmet does not last more that 3 years. I would expect more for that money. I am going back to Schubert, which is super quiet to compare with BMW.
We can only include lids that we actually sell. Only BMW dealers are allowed to sell BMW helmets. Funny you should have this experience with BMW and not with Schuberth. They are both manufactured by Schuberth!
Enjoyed your video. Can the visor be cracked open in stages? Thanks
Cheers! Yes, it can :).
anything under 100 pounds
It's going to be hard to find a GORE-TEX jacket for under 100 quid.
Very good and useful video. Thank you
You're welcome!
not so noisy, but draft left and right where visor ends above ears. Pity.
You should still wear a back protector. It is not uncommon for motorcyclists to get rear-ended, and, as you have said, this airbag does not deploy in that scenario.
I have been a Neotec 2 user and have been very happy with it. The rip-off pricing of this new Neotec 3 ensures that I will never own one. At some point you have to say "enough is enough".
The Neotec 2 is a great helmet and doesn't necessarily need replacing or upgrading if it's still fairly fresh. However, considering the price rise in almost every industry worldwide, the helmet doesn't cost that much more compared to its predecessor. When the time is right for a fresh lid, I'm sure there will be a good deal knocking about for a no. 3.
Got the LS2 Advant X Carbon. Best helmet on the planet. I’m so happy with EVERY aspect.
Just got mine today in XL size. Always get white as I think it’s more visible and gloss black was impossible to find in stock in the UK. Fits great and really comfortable. Love the clean look and can’t wait to try it out on the road.
Glad to hear it! Enjoy and ride safe.
Hi, what helmet smaller? I am looking for project
The impact test value for the genuine Arai was 188 g, what was the value for the genuine AGV?
I'm afraid we didn't have a spare genuine AGV helmet to test.
Oh sorry, I thought you'd also tested the original AGV. The value achieved by the real Araï is impressive, and it's frightening to see how poor the copies are.
She's not even Swedish she's from Newcastle she just talks weird
Why would she be Swedish or a Geordie? She's Dutch.
Joke over your head simp @@FortaMoto
nice video, which sunglasses are you wearing underneath the nxr2 while test riding this helmet. i want to buy this helmet but I need good and also fitting sunglasses that don't fog up
Ray-Ban Aviator!
Air is not sucked out, the shape at the back is designed to make the helmet more aerodynamic, it has nothing to do with ventilation.
I see you know your helmets well. It still does kinda get sucked out, though. What with it being a vacuum area an' all.
Sweet!!!👌🏽
Polycarbonate is not rubbish, it is widely used for protection devices such as riot shields. Some flexibility can be good as it absorbs shock instead of transmitting it to the head. The problem is that the makers make them cheap deliberately to sell more expensive helmets when if they were padded inside like the more expensive helmets they would be better for not much more money.
Hear hear! Who said it's rubbish?
Ventilation is so poor when closed. The chin vent has low air flow, maybe its because of the insect mesh. The top vent has whistling sound and you have to close it when riding faster and it's so annoying and noisy . I'm have Shoei GT Air 1 as well and ventilation is superior in comparison to Neotec 3
After owning two flip up helmets I got a Shark Evo one2, now I own a LS advent I just love it. Flip back to the win!
Were is LA2 Advent
It featured in our video from 2023, but didn't make the list this time around.
Hi id like to ask if you ship to philippines?
Sure, no problem!
The rpha91 is not ece in the us. It’s a different foam
Why would you want an ECE helmet in the US? You'll need a DOT helmet for those roads.
why is Sena the only built in option? crazy...
It isn't. You can install any universal intercom system, if you like.
Will this helmet with the ECE 22.06 be as safe as an RF-1400 bought in North America ? Are they manufactured differently ?
its the same helmet. just different name on the other side of the ocean
Correct! The difference is that the European version has the ECE certification, whereas the US version has the DOT certification.
Good picks, though could I say tone the heavy metal music down, please? I want to hear a jacket review, not go to a heavy metal concert. Thanks.
Thanks for your kind comment. We prefer to call it 'hard rock', though. Sometimes we use some music to colour in the close up shots. It might not always be down your alley, but it's better than a lot of the pish-tosh you'll hear on the wireless.
I just bought an HJC RPHA 91. Coming from a Schuberth C3 Pro, I must say that this HJC is far superior in every way...
I'm looking at these because the DCT leaves a hand free for snacking.
Does the chin strap sit further forward then the Neotec 2 ?
The difference in position is not very noticeable. The strap is definitely much slimmer, though.
love the size guide just mmm yeah informative. i just wanted to know the bust size of a 4 xl, the site just tells you where to measure it (i'm 154 cm on the bust). i take it i need a dress makers tape thats broken up in to l, xl, xxl, etc. other than that gripe not bad prices for what you got.
Here is what you are missing. When the remote included with the helmet which attaches with either Velcro or a sticky tape adhesive, falls off, how do you pair it with a better remote (Rc4) which I use on my other helmets.
The Scorpion has a pretty crappy interior design; after a few washes, it will break due to the fact that some parts are attached with velcro to the material glued to the safety foam.
My helmet doesn’t move from side to side and the little finger fits fine in the forehead but if I press down enough I can get it down to my eyes idk if that’s okay?

How does that giraffe only have a 57cm head
In some tests the NXR2 was shown to be one of the most quiet helmets tested. At 120 km/h the sound pressure was 98 dB at the ear positions. 108 dB was measured in the worst helmet. It's scary. I'm still using my AGV helmet from 1978. It's must simpler and quieter than the helmets you can buy today. I don't have to wear earplugs.
There is no way you are using a helmet today that is over 40 years old? Please for the love of god replace that, it will just crumble upon impact surely??
He's right, you know. Don't be silly, listen to Billy!
The AGV tour-modular should be in that bunch. I cannot speak any higher of the fit and finish.
I love the functionality but I’m very wary about safety. I only wear Arai and it’s the piece of mind it’s priceless.
Go for schubert.
What an awesome, and beautiful helmet it is! I'm gonna buy the Nolan N100-5(in Red colour.^^). Thanks for your helpful tips and recommendations. Always!^^👍❤️🍀
I haven't found a red one. I settled for the white one.
Thank you so much for doing all the homework for me, I am convinced and will be buying the Shoei Neotec 3!! Excellent reviews! New Subscriber!!
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy riding with it.
Thanks
