48 is too big. But 32 is too small. I'm waiting for one like the one you ordered in 36 to 40". TV or Monitor. I have a 42" now and it just a little too big. I actually like it, but it takes up too much desk space. My desk has sentimental value and I just dont have the room for a larger desk.

I have an LG Oled that has suffered burn in multiple times. Had LG replace the panel a few times under warranty even with all that anti burn in settings on. I would never buy an OLED for gaming again. I have LCDs for every gaming TV / monitor I use

I can't justify the cost for 4k since you need to have the top-of-the-line GPU to make sure the games are going to be as smooth as I like. I'll stick to my 1080p that is buttery-smooth because jitter and stutter in games is so bad for me.

I upgraded from the C1 (48") to the C3 (42"). I got it on sale because the C4 was coming out and not worth almost $600 more. I'm WOLED all the way. For me, the main benefit of OLED is the inky blacks ALL the time and not sometimes.

Also I would kind of recommend against using the pixel refresher, any more than you have to.. that permanently readjust the max values to The lowest common denominator in a lot of cases. The the basic maintenance sweep that happens when you have had the monitor or TV on for certain amount of time... The ones that the Samsung displays weren't doing lol.. that should be more than enough to clear any problems that are not permanent problems.. The pixel refresher is more for the permanent problems, which is why, if your TV hits that 4,000 hour mark.. and there's no problems with it, it doesn't actually have to do the line scanning.. either that or my firmware is busted lol It could be one of the other. Either way I don't have any burn in so that helps.. But in all fairness, I had to do the panel lottery about five times to get to where I was.. and thanks to the wonderful innovation of absolutely not nearly enough support for that much flexible glass and permanently flexible aluminum, it's almost impossible to get the TV set up without it actually having a bend or a warp in the display of some kind, definitely be as careful as possible with the unboxing.. I would look at some videos for how to do it properly, is kind of ridiculous cuz there's nothing to grab onto that won't worp with the weight of the TV. Also that that front display lol, the adhesive that sticks the electrodes or leads to the actual pixels, yeah don't touch the TV on the front lol.. would be nice to have some bezels maybe cuz.. thing you wouldn't have an issue, but.. since there's no bezels that means that thing just comes right off lol that was my second lottery win.. Green lines of fun, thank goodness for Costco, but hey.. if you're paying over a thousand bucks for something, paint a couple hundred bucks or something, even.. if it ain't perfect out of the box, you better return it.. only way their quality control will get better.

I cant use oled due to PWM modulation sensitivity, until they make 3000hz+ panels(i mean panels that pulse the modulation at this hz not the framerate) then i wont be using them, they all use 240hz atm the same as the framerate and that is a HIGH RISK for headache and migraine sensitivity as shown by IEEE Std 1789tm-2015 page 33

There is only Samsung vs LG (Q-OLED vs W-OLED). The Q-OLED wins hats down... in the right conditions though... (No direct light pointing to the Screen Coating. The reason one is Glossy vs Matte). Both panels are great in any case :)

Oh man you are talking about super fast response time of the monitor and then you are playing AAA titles with 30-60ms input-latency because the Gpu is running at 100%. I have a 3060TI and 2 years ago I bought Red Dead Redemption 2 to enjoy some great graphics and what I was shocked with was 110ms input latency at all setting low-high apsolutaly unplayable for me. I would rather go back to my old A-10 6700 + R7 240 combo that was running games like gta 5 at 30fps at 720 but when I moved my mouse it would do the same in game. RDR2 was fixed later on due to it being a driver issue but the experience change my view on gaming for the rest of my life. I am never playing cyperpunk or these other new games. I want my character to move when I make the input not century later. your brain is able to differ between even 2ms to 12ms if you play the right games for example flicking to shot in most competetive fps.

I've had the LG WOLED 32" since launch and it's a fantastic panel. I would say use 55-60% NVidia digital vibrancy to really made the screen pop. I also have the MSI 32" QD OLED and I gave that to the wife. I could not get over the purple blacks it had, but the colors did pop more. That said the Nvidia digital vibrancy makes it almost a non issue.

Even running things in SDR at low brightness, I still wouldn't go with an LCD... Blacks to me that's like everything you know.. and the colors too, there's just something about the color, and just the concept of darkness in general.. and it's already at least twice as bright as my CRT was back in the day.. Just took a little getting used to not going above 50% power to keep the auto brightness limiter from kicking in.. That's the real shit part of the whole experience is that limiter.. I wish it didn't have a more aggressive curve in HDR for some reason than in SDR It makes no sense. I can get the SDR image to an actual full screen white that doesn't change, by min-maxing the brightness and contrast and whatnot.. I think it might have been complicated due to bugs, but, what I do know, is that if you get the balance in the right place, where your panel isn't anywhere above 50, I think I'm at 36 or something lol.. and you get the brightness down and the contrast where it needs to be, you'll actually have a brighter image than if you just lol logically made that work. Unfortunately the HDR limits that to just below acceptable for the full screen bright or even 80% window.. not sure how much of that is a Windows issue or a TV issue but.. I'm fine with that SDR because I got those blacks, and they are good and that's all I need.. start from zero going up lol you can't get back to zero, you're missing something more important than getting all the way to a thousand if you start at 50.

For what it's worth, my LGC-1 TV, has an excellent 1440p mode if it's in the proper 1440p mode.. sometimes it's a pain in the butt to get it there, and on Nvidia it's hard to set native resolutions aside from the the one it wants to tell you it is... But all in all.. as far as the actual look of it, it's a bespoke resolution, much like the 1080p and the 4K mode, and it really is the way to go on the 4K displays, the 1080p is way too chunky, but at about a 3 ft distance maybe, the 1440p is just right, and as long as I don't have to get used to anything better, and set my expectations lol by keeping them exactly where they are.. I should be okay for games in the future as well. I'm not saying it's a native resolution necessarily, but it really does feel like one as opposed to Even 1080p using an uninterpalated upscale.. which should factor in perfectly.. This still looks better by far. I set the sharpness to like 20 or something, maybe a little bit lower on the C1... Anything that translates down from 4K to a low resolution in a 4K container looks like garbage at resolutions anywhere nearby the 1440p space, and I don't know if every monitor is capable of doing this or if it's just an LG thing, I do know it worked on the CX that way and it worked on the c148 that way.. I used the c155 currently. I would love to be able to set that as a native resolution somehow, to take advantage of super sampling on older titles, but, maybe the new Nvidia control panel has solutions or something I don't know, most games it's fine, but I would lie if I said I didn't have to do weird stuff for pretty much every PC game nowadays.. I had a bit of a fit with resident evil 4 on account that you can't use a different display than your desktop, although that was more because of how soft that game was and I couldn't get my CAS injector in at the time with the DLSS mod.. and I was using a slightly custom resolution underneath 1440 at the time, but just regular 1440 seem to work just fine.. Run everything in 120 hz container usually, I would say some of the problems come from not running a native resolution, like sekiro didn't like the idea of a borderless window, and also wouldn't let you set the refresh rate lol.. But that had to be modded pretty significantly anyways with that FPS unlocker which solved all of those problems in addition to solving all of the other problems lol. And as far as EA goes, well they just you know can't seem to comprehend what a mip bias is, which is kind of almost a standard fare problem nowadays. Either way it's nice to have that option, a 4K display for one day when 4K is a thing that can be achieved with modern games... The only downside to the TV is it's 120, it would be nice if I could do 144 and then split the difference, as with OLED 60 is a little harsh, but 75 is perfect, but 60 it is because, I don't understand how people don't go insane with variable refresh lol constantly having the latency shift around...

Doing quick calculations, taking as reference "Alan Wake 2" in 4k with maximum graphics + maximum RT + DLSS + FG and comparing Zotac 4070 ti Super (45 FPS) with Zotac 4080 Super (60 FPS) in the same gaming situation, having Tested both GPUs and taking into account the fluctuation margin in both cases of about 2 or 3 FPS, I see that the performance of the 4080 super compared to the 4070ti super, in my case and in terms of FPS, is approximately 25%. Considering that (my situation is in Europe) the 4080 super (€1,129) is about 22% more expensive than an RTX 4070 ti super (€879), the "price/performance" rule pays off. I know that this difference in performance can decrease or increase depending on the game, I also tried other games where the FPS difference in the majority was somewhat greater, but the difference never went below about 15 FPS and taking into account the demand of a game like " Alan Wake 2", I think it is a good starting point to see the difference between one GPU and the other. In this case I think it depends more on the resolution at which you are going to play and how much money you are willing to spend to choose the 4070 ti super or the 4080 super. I chose the 4080 super because I play on a 4k 165hz monitor, but not the Zotac model because it reaches temperatures between 73° and 75°, in this case investing a little more money in another manufacturer will give better cooling and temperature results, fully verified . I want to make it clear that I totally agree with everything discussed in the video and I am aware of the mathematical knowledge and the rigor of the tests carried out, so forgive me if my conclusion is wrong but this has been my personal experience. I don't want to say that it is correct or definitive, since the FPS also depends on the different components that accompany it, but it is what I have experienced and I simply wanted to share it, greetings.

OLEDs are the new version of the past PLASMA displays that were all the rage... but BURN IN caused them to disappear from the general market. OLED will dim with time and will burn in, it is part of the design. OLED will ruin your viewing experience due to BURN IN... it is not a question of IF you will experience BURN IN - it is WHEN the BURN IN will happen, it is a fact and it is just a matter of time that it will happen... It will happen! The mini led monitors are not subject to the OLED burn in and dimming with age... just an FYI....

Great video! As for the matte coating, I'm not convinced. Despite claims from Optimum and many other KZreadrs that it's better, recent reviews after the monitor has been out for a while suggest otherwise. They note that while the matte finish might be better, it's still grainy and appears unusually oily for a matte coating (as if someone smeared vaseline or vegetable oil over the entire screen). I'm getting this monitor anyway due to the limited options, but I plan to try removing the matte coating-either using the water and paper method or by buffing it out.
