Hi George , I have hyundai ioniq 2021 67000 miles on clock , when setting off there is a grinding noise as speed builds up the noice disappears until braking slowing down to stop grinding noice comes back. Fully stopped no noise . Also when reversing same noise. Brake pads , calipers , disks all ok. There are no fault codes on dash. Do you think it’s the gearbox on its way out or gearbox bearings. Do I replace the whole gearbox and actuator and electric motor. Dealers not very helpful. Want £132 per hour 7 hours just to strip down and find fault. They wriggle out if warranty repair because car was not serviced by dealers. Thanks.

As long as you have receipt of the parts used and services carried out as per manufacturer spec, and done at any VAT registered garage warranty is valid. Except for the noise, is the gearbox changing all gears ok? if yes, remove oil from the gearbox in a clean container and see if there are any swarf or metal particles in it.

Hi mate we changed the clutch kit and flywheel and clutch actuator on same car hyundai i30 semi auto the flywheel was noisy thats why we changed and actuator was stuck we put back everything now but we noticed the car not driving in reverse only in Drive mode driving when put in reverse car not accelerating any solution Appreciate

Thanks for the video. I attempted this without removing a wheel or jacking up the car. I have long arms and found it impossible to remove the light connector. Hyundia = dreadful design. To the engineers that designed it this way, what were you smoking?!

The other day I cleaned the intake valves myself and then did a Wins flush for the injectors. So after Wins all the carbon deposits and coke rose into the head on the valves))))). Maybe because I periodically increased the speed to 3-4 thousand. The first The car was idling for 50 minutes. Then I turned it off for 20 minutes. And for another 40 minutes of washing, I periodically increased the speed to 3-4 thousand. The car's mileage is 37 thousand km. My wife drives 50/50 city-highway. Thank you

@@GicaPhp Exhaust gas recirculation system. Which can additionally throw carbon deposits onto the suction valves. I installed an additional oil catcher on the 1st crankcase ventilation circuit. I have not installed it on the 2nd circuit that goes to the turbine yet.

@Manchester53322 gdi engine make too much soot, hence gpf now fitted on them. I would always buy the smartstream engine, which has 2 injectors per cylinder, which squirts behind the valves and no more carbon build up problems

Hi mate. I have same problem on intake p0016. As intake cam angle value is not changing but scope pattern is ok, i was panic. Actuator tested on intake oil control valve working ok. Oil level was very low and sludged. Wondering why cam angle not reading because of ocv? Cam keep spins so should read angle value.

Cam is spinning, but does not changes the position relatively to the crankshaft. Low oil level, blocked oil path, or even sticky actuator under pressure or temperature can cause issues.

Thanks for reply, as hyundai tech I'm still learning :). You know the dowel pin to cam phaser sometimes snaps off. In that case, cam angle desired position and actual angle wouldn't match up I think?

In my case, desired and actual angle match up but not changing at all. It works randomly only short time and go static. Most of time, won't change at all.

Da, sunt convins ca te poti descurca. O sa ai nevoie de torque settings pentru strangere si prese de rulmenti cu 3 ghiare mica si mare, si multa rabdare. Fa poze pe masura ce desfaci, pune pinioanele in ordine si ia-ti un silicon pentru etansare la final. Si daca tot dai cutia jos, inlocuieste si simeringul de la axul cutie (input shaft seal). Daca ai nevoie de alte informatii, just let me know

Well, 80% of detail was correct. It would have saved me a lot of Hassel if you showed the second screw, its hard to see on the lateral side to wriggle the old lense out! Yes, the mirror was hard to remove. I just had to keep levering around the whole mirror till it let go. You have to very careful that you get the mirror to click back in. I put a little nulon grease on lugs to get it to fix in again.

both injectors 3 and 4 are seized in on mine so gonna need to take the solanoid off both and use a slide hammer, im only replacing injector from cylinder 4. is the injector for cylinder 3 ok to use again if i put the solanoid back on after? heard taking the solaniod off can mess with idle, etc

I just bought a 2015 DL650 with only 1300 miles. A week later at 2100 miles I'm hearing the same noise your bike made. I was looking forward to a "trouble free" bike, but that's obviously not the case. I've read everything I could about "idle hammer" and was getting very discouraged. Hopefully my bike just needs the nut torqued down correctly also Thank you for posting this video. Even four years later it's continuing to help Suzuki owners.

I have a 2013 Genesis 5.0 120k with the same 8 speed dct… when I up shift into 3rd and 5th gear there is a slight slip but it doesn’t happen all the time, and never when I first start driving after a cold start. If the car is at temp or I’ve been driving at some point that day, the problem occurs. Same thing with downshifting 6-5 and 4-3 sometimes there is a loud bang/slight jerk and slight jerk when I put the car into reverse. No lights or codes on the car. Oem transmission fluid and pan as far as I’m concerned.

never had the chance to work on a genesis. cutch drag and slipping can cause your jerking. at 120k i would check on a diagnostic machine the wear of the clutches

@@GicaPhp no fault codes whatsoever. I have checked both can and crank sensors to make sure it’s not that. The immobiliser is functioning as it is not flashing when ign on and it turns off when cranking. Fuel pump is working as it primes when ign on and pumps when cranking. I haven’t managed to check spark plugs yet as I lost my spark plug socket during my recent move. Will be checking tomorrow after I go buy a new one. But to me, if there is no spark then what is causing all of them to have no spark. Or even the same with fuel

I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson Highlander. When i pull the EPB there is nothing. I assume following this video should fix that problem? I can find the part 93300-D3040 but the buttons are mirrored and obviously for a left hand drive. What part would suit mine? My VIN is TMAJ381ASGJ082470. Thanks

I have a 2013 Genesis 5.0 120k with the same 8 speed dct… when I up shift into 3rd and 5th gear there is a slight slip but it doesn’t happen all the time, and never when I first start driving after a cold start. If the car is at temp or I’ve been driving at some point that day, the problem occurs. Same thing with downshifting 6-5 and 4-3 sometimes there is a loud bang/slight jerk and slight jerk when I put the car into reverse. No lights or codes on the car. Oem transmission fluid and pan as far as I’m concerned.
never had the chance to work on a genesis. cutch drag and slipping can cause your jerking. at 120k i would check on a diagnostic machine the wear of the clutches
get out of here! 12K on a DCT . People can hardly get off the lot before they go bad.

Hi there. I am having the same issue with my car. Same year same model however I have checked all fuses and all of them are good.
Any fault codes?
@@GicaPhp no fault codes whatsoever. I have checked both can and crank sensors to make sure it’s not that. The immobiliser is functioning as it is not flashing when ign on and it turns off when cranking. Fuel pump is working as it primes when ign on and pumps when cranking. I haven’t managed to check spark plugs yet as I lost my spark plug socket during my recent move. Will be checking tomorrow after I go buy a new one. But to me, if there is no spark then what is causing all of them to have no spark. Or even the same with fuel
