    I did this back then in my old machine because the post always blocked the clamp for the last main string. So I pulled the last two strings together. Since upgrading to this machine I have not been pulling the last two strings. There is no major difference though.

    Hi! I was watching your video and noticed that you reversed your last two crosses. I was wondering if there is any benefit to doing it this way as opposed to doing it normally?

  • @wijardwong
    @wijardwong2 ай бұрын

    Hey Steven thanks for watching! I've been doing this since the beginning of my stringing and my thought process was that if I reverse the last two crosses, there'd be less tension loss overall as the 2nd last cross would be sandwiched between two different cross strings which will have more friction to keep the string bed tight. Ofc there is no right or wrong answer but it's just what I've always been doing.

    Impression on exbolt 68?

  • @liamnguyen5870
    @liamnguyen58703 ай бұрын

    Trash, Ex65 and 63 still much better. 68 doesnt give a good hitting sound, the shock repulsion is really low, force u to use more power to hit the birdie which makes u tired faster and faster. Overall, 6/10

  • @wijardwong
    @wijardwong3 ай бұрын

    I haven't yet, but I have strung a 1000z tour before and it seemed pretty solid and with an easier flex than the 1000z pro. By going off this I think their lower tier models should be a good racquet if your budget isn't there.

    Woah you weave your crosses so nice and quickly!! I've been struggling to string faster and I think my weaving is a big culprit. Is there a particular resource on technique or tips that you have?

  • @wijardwong
    @wijardwong3 ай бұрын

    There are some old videos out there that explain efficient weaving for crosses. For me: 1. make sure tip of string is cut at and angle and not fraying 2. as you see in the video I always have one string weaved ahead before pulling the next string. This ensure a soft weave every time so its easier. If you don't have one string weaved ahead of the tensioning string then its called a hard weave. 3. as you see in the video, i weave pretty parallel to the strings and straight directly to the next hole. If this doesn't work out smoothly you can weave like a "parabola" shape to decrease friction between strings

    Nice detailed impression ! Have you played with the 77pro? How would you compare it to the 88 D/S?

  • @wijardwong
    @wijardwong3 ай бұрын

    I'd say its abit head heavier than the 77pro with a slimmer shaft and overall faster. I can't say much on the stiffness comparison but the shots on the 88d definitely feels more solid but the 77pro is more solid than the 88s. In terms of touch I'd say the 77pro falls right inbetween the two 88.

    What is the difference between starting your cross at the top between starting at the bottom?

  • @wijardwong
    @wijardwong4 ай бұрын

    There are a couple topics on this: 1. bottom up compared to up bottom can cause a change in the sweet spot of the racquet. So with a bottom up it can change the sweet spot to higher on the frame 2. simply preference and machine, my old machine i did top bottom because i felt it played better 3. its "safer" for the racquet to do bottom up rather than top bottom. There have been reports back then where ppl break racquets during stringing doing top bottom especially high tension stringing. This is just by other's report and not proven

  • @wijardwong

    Old Yonex racquet recommendations are for warranty sake. Back then they would always have it lower than 24 or 25 lbs. These racquets can easily have 30lbs if strung correctly and proper grommets. Ofc you'd lose your warranty on the racquet
