  It was $1k for the kit. You can but just the plate that gets rid of the grid heater but you won’t have a way to heat your incoming air on start up if you don’t get the kit.

  @@chiefyoung my 2010 2500 at 90k was pretty dirty almost no room for air. So I deleted it then. My 2020 3500 has 51k on it now I am thinking of doing the monster ram to delete the grid heater

  That’s why I did it. The grid heater bolt is no joke and didn’t want it to destroy my engine.

  There’s actually another way of doing this, it’s not necessarily easier but you don’t need access admin roles, all you do is go to your inbox in GCSS Army and create a new message, once In there you input someone’s DOD # and hit enter and it will show you the name of the person.

  Dont forget to reverse the transaction in VL09 using the outbound# for that item. If you don’t reverse the outbound transaction on your end, it will still populate an inbound transaction to the SSA

  I evac the PM02 or PM01 to another UIC and they open PM07 - when close out happens on the PM07 the time is not being placed back into owning UIC its remaining with PM07 uic. where in the process would that take place?

  Hi, i'm new to G Army and i'm just trying to understand the process. I tried removing hours this way, but it was not working for me. First off, the WO is already closed and i reopened the WO. When it gets to the point of having to save it, it just loads endlessly and would not cancel the WO. Do you have any idea why it does that?

  Looks cool, but at a pretty high cost and a lot of work. If you think you're going to actually feel or see a performance difference without other modifications, you're sadly mistaken. That is, unless you're subject to the placebo effect. LOL. On the plus side, it does eliminate the possibility of that grid bolt falling into your intake, but there are much less expensive ways to accomplish that. I'll give Gale credit for one thing, he's a helluva salesman. ;-)

  My reason for this install was solely to get rid of the grid heater but I still wanted a way to heat the incoming air for cold season starts. The Banks kit was the only kit I could find with that option.

  What if you order a part thats an upgraded one because the old one is obsolete, and they only have the new niin for turn in, but you only have an old part thats obsolete. Can you change the nsn for the old one to turn in?

  Hi sir, I’m having a issue where a fault on the ESR shows up as a notification but when you click into it on g army it has a order against it instead of, then when you try to close it out it will not allow you to because there is a part in the component tab than cannot be removed. Have you ever experienced this issue?

  In the MI31 process to create a physical inventory list, does GCSS allow us to select the type of inventory so only items appropriate for that inventory are output to the list? For example, an annual physical inventory would have a different list than a monthly weapons inventory.

  @@chiefyoung I respect that! Your work here was very impressive! I'm running a 2019 Wrangler with this engine and I can't tell for sure, but I believe I have this issue. I'm not 100% sure. I haven't done a proper check. My ticking happens randomly while driving.

  The first time I heard it was on a Grand Cherokee, at first I thought it was just the valves knocking. After some research I found quickly that this is a common issue and Chrysler didn’t seem to care to fix the issue.

  The electronic delete happened a month after I bought the truck. I just did the physical delete while I was under the hood doing the ram air kit.

  Hours were erroneously added to an MTV. I've reversed the usage document and updated, but when I print a 5988 it still shows an hours current reading. Am I missing a step?

  I had never heard of the grid heater issue until a couple of months before installing mine. Came across Banks video talking about it, then found a few more. The peace of mind is worth every penny.

  Depends on your skill level and tools you have available. It took me total about 5hrs of actual wrench turning.

  I think the year you installed on is no longer CARB certified. So, technically not legal anymore. The install will eventually cause a P2609 code which Banks is troubleshooting. California pulled the certification.

  I had the rail off already while installing the new heater grid plate. I didn’t reinstall until I had the new sensor and just used a couple of wrenches.

  @@chiefyoung so just use a wrench to hold it down ?i have mine off right now I just didn’t know if you used a vise to hold the rail while using a ratchet with socket to take it off

  I used two wrenches but a vise would work too, just don’t clamp down too much on it.

  Is there a process to add a non-standard part (part without an NSN not found in EDLOG, WEBLIS, etc) to material master? If there is a standard process, I have an example I can share.
