When I was like 13 years old I had this radio next to my bed and I would put on classical at a low volume and would help me fall asleep. One night I woke up to the station being intercepted by sipping on some sizzurp and my life was forever changed. Still very beautiful in all aspects.

I am 69yo, and never knew the name of this song.. I knew the melody and sound, and just, found the name, due, to seeing it sung on th old Andy Griffith Show, by Raef Hollister, a farmer on the show. All these decades, i never knew the song name or words, until now. To me, it is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

Heard this for the first time on classic FM this morning., absolutely beautiful. ..Phil Coulter is from my home town of Derry. I have been so fortunate to have seen him in concert several times with his Orchestra. I would love to see him with James Galway. Two great talented musicians.

Some say he's a souless technique machine. I ditched that idea when I heard his Blumenfeld left hand étude, which is musically as well as technically great. I find with the pieces in this series that he's a damn good composer/arranger.

Good for you for getting out of that mindset. People who think like that simply have shallow minds and can’t look past anything farther than the likes of lang langs cringe inducing facial expressions
