Definitely not the national flippers convention. Those guys are definitely the 12-45 age range. Unfortunately 90% of the ones in the hobby are the flippers. I like how you watch out for the collectors and get those card in their forever homes

Great comments all around. Glad you had a fantastic National. I hope to get there myself someday. The words “Leave some meat on the bone”, and “I need room” are starting to fall on deaf ears more and more, and as a fellow dealer, hearing more dealers express frustration with this sentiment is great. Hopefully, we see a trend where more and more dealers stop giving in to the “standard” and simply listen to offers and give their response. I like your approach to hearing offers first, then responding. It works well. Be healthy and well!

Well said , JT ! Like I said before , long time collector I don't use comps or last sold prices . I believe in dealing fairly with the dealer , if it's a card I want , I buy it or see If a little can be knocked of the price . I want you as the dealer to be happy and me as the buyer to be happy . I know as a collector I'm a dinosaur , but that's okay . Great rant and video JT !

No way they should change full price for entrance if they are going to allow people to leave early and continue to set up at the next National.

My response to your rant. It's a Generational thing. I have been to 18 National's. These conplaints are coming from a younger generation that doesn't understand that everything should not be about them and complaining just cones natural to them. They forget to mention that trade nights are essentually all modern so that's for them as well. The vintage collectors were in full force, spending and the vintage collectors have no issues with the modern collectors. It's maturity.

You'd be surprised. Some dealers are very candid with how they are doing, whether it's expressed verbally or not. There are body language clues and how they act that can give me clues as to how their day is going.
