I'm not a modern guy but I do appreciate a peak behind the curtain of dealer in both of these vlogs. I love your methodology and your calm controlled demeanor when negotiating. The guys that beg, "you gotta work with me, come on", I think are born out of the profit, rather than collector, mentality. I know this for sure, that will never be me. I'd rather lose $20 here and there than beg someone when I'm trading paper for cardboard.

Thank you for your kind words! You are correct, about 9 out of 10 times that someone begs, it's for profit. Every now and then, you get a collector who really wants something, yet we usually aren't that far apart. I know if it were me and I was $20 apart on something I really wanted, I'm going to concede the $20, but that's just me.

JT, it was nice talking with you on Saturday. I am glad you did well during the show and I am pretty sure everybody will always think their stuff is worth more than it is and your stuff is worth less. It’s all just part of the game.

I absolutely LOVE how you respond to resellers. I have been screaming from the hills about, *IM SELLING THEM TO MAKE ME MONEY… IM NOT SELLING THEM TO LOSE MONEY SO YOU CAN MAKE MONEY* That’s not your problem if they are going that route … I got from my Dad, *if I don’t like the price? I don’t buy it… period* people can’t seem to grasp that… everyone is buying now to resell… it makes it tough for me cuz I just collect

Thank you. It's a problem that seems to be getting worse, which is discouraging. At this point, it may not be a bad thing if some resellers get squeezed out in the next year or so to promote a more healthy show environment. Thanks again for watching.

I’ve made it a point to not deal with people at shows that aren’t a dealer paying for a table. I go to shows to buy from paying vendors for my collection. They pay for the table they deserve the business as long as they’re fair

I think many others feel that way too. This venue does have adequate space to accommodate attendees to sit down to deals with one another. However, I have heard of people getting kicked out of shows for poaching people looking to sell since it's takes away opportunities for dealers.

Couldn't agree more about recent Comps. You're not allowed to get steals on ebay lol really bothers me. Great vids as always.

Good strategy on just getting out from under that big deal with the stroud and getting even. Sometimes it's the best thing to do and just reinvest that money into something thats going to move easier

Great video, as always. Personally, as you mentioned regarding the non numbered stuff, I avoid all of it. Won't touch the Kabooms, etc. that are, allegedly, SP or case hits or whatever. The print runs on some of these products is insane, now. I just can't trust that they don't have 5k count boxes of stuff like that that they ran off and could have sitting around. Hopefully they don't and, once they lose the licenses, stuff like that doesn't get dumped - but it's not a chance I'm willing to take.
