Too bad we all didn't know what was about to happen cause you know everyone on track would have slowed down to prevent Dales crash.

I wonder if Dale didn't die like his dad did right before his crash, or passed out first, hit the wall then died on impact. His dad died right on the spot in his kitchen, no warning no signs of issues, just died. Dales sudden turn back up towards the wall after being slightly hit from behind would be a odd meneuver by such a skilled driver. His car was in a banked turn, should it have really turned that sharp to the right with seemingly no counter steer back to the left?

Tony Stewart was interviewed by Dan Patrick remember he was in a crash earlier that race they red flagged the race so he was getting looked at & they wheeled him in a room by accident & it was the room Dale Earnhardt Sr was in. He was only in there a second but said when he saw Dale he knew it wasn't good.

died on a sunday, feburary 18 2001 18 = 3 sixes sunday sacrifice i don't buy into his seatbelt being loose as the narrative people run with, the car was a 3 and had black, red, and white why was the 36 car crashing into him slowly? none of it makes sense

Seat and seatbelt failure were the cause of this, ending up with dale slamming into the steering wheel.... you can find the official investigations including pics of the ripped belt and Dale Srs blood still in the car, and the mangled steering wheel

Man if only Kenny was .2 seconds ahead of his position when wreck happened he would saved Dale from going into wall like he did but instead his position made it worse. The Wallace nudge put Dale into the death angle if u watch in slow motion. Without that 2nd nudge after Sterling nudge Dale was headed for a hit on the wall with the right side of his car. After watching it in slow motion you’ll be able to tell regular speed that the 2nd nudge put Dale into a way more severe angle and at faster speed. Still nobody’s fault tho. I wonder if Dale would kept his steering wheel pinned left after Sterling nudge and slammed on brakes if he would of just went into the grass coming out of turn 4 or maybe hit the wall turn 4 with rear of his car. I would think Dale tried to save it for a split second which caused him to come back onto the track.

I did n't see the race live on TV, but I saw the replay of the crash and it didn't look that bad compared to other wrecks I've see that weren't fatal. I remember people blaming Sterling Martin, but I don't think it was his fault. It was just something that happened by accident during a hard fought race.

It was the basilar skull fracture that killed him. He wasn’t wearing the HANS device and the impact through him forward with a sudden stop, causing the basilar skull fracture and killing him instantly
