Classic Rhythm & Lead Guitar Riffs, Interviews with Great Metal Musicians And More...

As I don't want to violate any copyright laws, risk account suspension or removal of videos I won't be putting up any clips from the original songs. Each video is my own work and represents my interpretation of the song. These videos are to be used only for private study, scholarship, or research. I hope that you will support the original musicians and buy their music. Personally I like collecting the old school vinyl. \\m/

The music at the end of the videos is my own from demo clips for the solo album I'm working on. \\m/

Excellent job of breaking this down into easily learnable chunks. And you got right to the meat of how to play this riff without going into to too much unnecessary explanation of what you are playing, as so many other videos tend to do. There has to be that assumption that if you are trying to learn a riff of this level, that you already know how to play guitar. Good job Mike.

Nope..... bro I'm sure you're a great guitarist and everything, but you got it wrong..... I mean slightly yeah but it's the intricacies that make eddies tricks sacred so if you're going to teach them get them right!

Not only does this sound like the most accurate example of this riff, but also, very clearly taught. A tip of the hat to you.

Excellent video but the actual name of the song is Mean Street. Not Streets. Alot of people call it Streets.

First, impressive breakdown, explanation, and technique. Second, WTF? I’m a musician, though not a guitarist, so know enough to be dangerous, and love this song. I get the terms…harmonic, hammer on, etc. It’s just, the right hand position changes, the left hand fingers holding onto and releasing while other fingers are doing whatever. 😮 Bravo

Most of Edward's riffs happened by chance. He had an interest and an ear for what other instrumentalists were doing but with a twist. Ed's energy then past through to Frankie. Most things in life are happy accidents. Well done tutorial! 😎🤘

But when Ed incorporates this in his live solos he does a longer and faster version of this slapping that I haven't seen anybody do. And when he's doing that in concert during his solo he looks like he's using all his fingers and his whole hand. Which this brings me to a question, how come Eddie if he was so creative always did the same solo at his concerts all through the years. With slight variations but basically it's just eruption with bits and pieces of his songs. But almost exactly the same from the 70s to the 2000"s. Why didn't he come up with something totally different instead of the same old thing every show. I think he was already out of ideas for coming up with something different in the ninety's. I think the drill on his guitar for the intro to pound cake which I thought was kind of lame was it about the last thing invented wise on the guitar. I'm not talking about his amps and guitar modifications but his playing something different and unique was gone.
