    Max Bias is not versatile. It will look like garbage on most shots. Ball rolls too forward, too quickly. If you can really get around it, and over power the lane, then you can make it look pretty good. Or it might be a really good ball for people with extremely high tilt.

    Joe, for these strong balls, why don't you use two lanes? One with a house shot and one with a sport shot. That would be quite useful.

    31 minutes that described benchmark ball strategy, symetrical vs asymetrical cores, coverstock variances and the legacy of the IQ Tour! Very informative and viewer friendly. Best half of an hour invested as it educated and demonstrated hours and hours of bowling tech in easy to watch and comprehend format. Keep it coming Ben and West Seattle Pro Shop!

    How much difference do the core numbers make for the same ball? For example, I have the Attention Star but in the 14 lb version. The numbers are 2.53, .046, .014 as opposed to 2.48, .049, .017 for 15 lbs. On paper these differences seem significant. Are they?

    Great video. Too many people go straight to urethane instead if trying short pin layouts. If you have slower ball speed or have a rev rate under 400 rpms short pin layouts are way more useful than urethane. Unless you love picking up 10 pins all day

    I'm currently using an original Xponent as my benchmark ball. How would the Ion Pro compare to that?

  • @wsbproshop
    @wsbproshop13 күн бұрын

    Great question. I'd say the Xponent is almost a lateral move off the Ion. Meaning, it's about the same level of strength, but just a different shape. The Xponent gets into a roll a bit slower than the Ion, and is less responsive down lane... so they can weirdly play off each other nice as compliments.

    My PSO drilled my Track Theorem, Perfect Mindset, and Infinity with the same layout of: PAP Left 5 Up 1 3/8 Layout 30 x 4 1/4 x 35° They all shoot straight. I can only get the Infinity to hook a tiny bit, if I rachet my wrist as far counterclockwise as I can. That has caused damage to my fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, and shoulder. Any tips to help those balls to perform correctly? Or do I need to start over with fresh balls and a fresh layout?

    I've bowled for just 1 year and a half, so I'm still a beginner, with 165-170 avg... Which ball would you choose as 1st pearl asymm between Exotic Gem, DNA Coil and Attention Star? I bowl in 3-4 different centers here in Italy so in all of them I always find different lanes conditions and I can't buy all of them right now! Here in Italy, patterns usually ranges from 40 to 47 feet. As of now, I already have Phaze 2, Phaze 5, Gem (solid), Hammer white widow Urethane Pink, Brunswick Teal Rhino Pro, Motiv Sky Raptor and a spare ball. Thank you!

  • @wsbproshop
    @wsbproshop13 күн бұрын

    In my opinion, I'd recommend the DNA coil, of those 3. It's got the properties of a true pearl, but is a bit rounder off the spot down lane, and thus is a bit easier to control at the beginner level

  • @Bamm139
    @Bamm139Ай бұрын

    Great video! My style is similar to yours, but a little slower speed. The shapes look similar. My IQ Tour Pearl cracked, so I need a shiny weaker (low diff) replacement. Maybe. At the top I have the Rubicon, VEVO, Phaze 2, Summit Peak, IQ Tour Solid, and the Mix. The Lightning Blackout sure looks good, and I'm leaning that way because of the shape. So I'm conflicted in my choice between it and the IQ Tour Ruby. The Ruby definitely looks weaker, but limited as to chasing the oil left and coming around the corner. With a similar style as yours, which would you recommend for my arsenal? Much thanks.

  • @wsbproshop
    @wsbproshop13 күн бұрын

    Thanks! And, great question. The IQ line has been my favorite line for over a decade, so, it's hard for me not to recommend the Ruby over the Lightning. But, I can also say that they bowl seem different from each other that I use them. The lightning spins up slower (higher RG), so, if you want/need earlier roll for your pearl like I tend to gravitate toward, go Ruby. But if you need a ball toffy down to the end of the pattern, go Lightning. Overall, the Ruby is a bit stronger than the Lightning

    Where does the coil fit in relation to an absolute power and phaze 2?

  • @wsbproshop
    @wsbproshop13 күн бұрын

    Great question. The Coil seems to be stronger than the Power, to my eye, even though the Coil is a pearl. And both are above the Phase 2. So, if you bowl on heavier oil, the Power and Coil can fit together with you squaring up more with the Power, and then moving left with the Coil. The Phase 2 is all around different and weaker.
