  Hey guys, another great catch and cook video. I do have a question though, you mentioned to cook the troat because it taste so good. How do fillet the throat from the redfish? Do you have a video shows that procedure? If not, would you please show us soon in your next video?

  Sure I can show in my next video how I do it myself. And the throat is best grilled or in the oven. Since I generally cook it whole, as it has some cartilage but the meet in and around it is amazing. It has a different but good taste

  Everyone asking the same question..they have been around thick for a bit but at south padre jetties not in port a or packery. Hopefully, after these storms pass and water clarity improves we will see some landed

  Very nice video brother. I always see you fishing Packery n fish Pass the bridge under JFK and I’ve hit all those areas. I’ve never had the luck that you do but wanted to ask you what made you decide to pick South Packery jetty today in this video, ? I always fish the North… was it the wind? And to be honest I started at south but as soon as I pulled up a buddy of mine told me it was dead only the south jetty was pulling up any fish ..so I naturally went that way. Not knowing what to expect but I knew there was some fish caught on the south

  This happened just before the storm hit. I have not fished the jetties since I may this week at some point .. however as far as bait behind the packery channel 361 bridge. I'm sire you can find all kinds of different bait back there with a cast net. I always find different bait back there that's useful

  The spanish Hage been a hit and miss here and there with the good days. And the kingfish wel nome have been landed at port aransas or packery yet only seem some jump.. people have only caught some in south padre. Hopefully on the next good window they show up to the rocks at port a and packery

  I prefer to use light action baitcasters. At packery channel.. however a 4 thousand size penn battle is more then enough power for the slots bulls and maybe a jack amd it's not to big either ..I prefer 30 pound braid on either reel. The rod can very but for my battel I simply just bought the whole combo reel and penn battle rod new already together its a 7' medium fast rod that's paired with it.. if you are interested in a baitcaster setup thays a different story..as the shimano tranx is probably your best bet rod can very depending upon application aswell buy I figure a good medium heavy 7 foot rod is great for packery

  @TexasHillCountryFishing-THC the first one we snagged as a bycatch while fishing for tarpon with a lure .. the rest were caught, the menhaden came real close and we were able to cast net some at some point

  Mainly lures (3 oz silver spoons)..however had bait out for sharks and it got picked up by big redfish instead

  Size 3 gamakatsu octopus j hook is my favorite go to. I Don't like to use circle hooks much, because I prefer to get a good Hooksett .unless targeting big bullreds or big blackdrum or sharks

  The times can very during different seasons. Best bet is to call the fishermans wharf amd ask about the jetty boat the day before you plan on going to be safe that it's up and running and aswell as to check the times.

  To be honest I doubt they are stingray proof. However, they are thick and will help greatly

  Yea I tried however halcos split rigs were tight they didn't let me they just wouldn'tlet me take the hook off not enough room on the tiny loop.. so I'm going to cut them old split rings off add new ones with better hooks💪💯🤙
