    Just thought you might want to know, the manual for our RoadTrek Popular 200 Chevrolet states when sanitizing the potable water system to add 1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water, then to add a (1) gallon of the water/bleach mixture to every 15 gallons capacity of your water tank. Our tank is 35 gallons, therefore we only need to add 9-1/3-oz of bleach to our tank to sanitize it, not 1/4 cup per gallon of capacity. Your system will most certainly be sanitized though!

    Did ours today as the parts company had a 10% off sale at Christmas and decided to not delay any longer. I screwed up on the reinstallation of the ribbon wire on the extreme left side as I didn’t have the ribbon in squarely and fully and I got screwy outputs on the display. Corrected that after unplugging the power cord and redoing ribbon strip and small white plastic holder. Still pissed at Samsung for manufacturing such a defective display and even more 8:07 so for such an exorbitant price for such a simple part. Samsung, never again an appliance customer of yours.

    LED panels are stepped down to 5v. Was not working with the high voltage heating elements. As you can see, I did not short anything out. If this is not a method you feel comfortable with, feel free to make a video and post it up. I searched for an instructional video on this fix and was not successful.

    Thank you, yours is the 1st to help with our range. Our Samsumg Range was purchased during kitchen remodel in 2009. Has worked for us after all these years, except recently the left side elements running on high occasionally. The side that was used the most. Now our LED display numbers don't look like numbers. This particular replacement part is $100 +. Other than that, we've been satisfied with this range.

  • @stevenash3949

    Happy it helped! As I said to a previous viewer, I left power on the range because these displays are stepped down to about 5 volts. I would recommend unplugging the range if you are replacing anything with the heating elements. Best of luck to you!

    I just replaced mine and as I was putting everything back together I noticed a black wire with a metal ring on it that was hanging loose. I don’t remember it being under any of the screws that I took out but I don’t know what to do with it. It’s two black wires coming out of the right side that come together to one of those metal rings that look like they’re supposed to be held in place with a screw. Any ideas?

    Thanks for watching! Disconnecting power is definitely the safe option. I tend to keep power going for troubleshooting and instant gratification purposes. And yes these are high voltage in general and if troubleshooting a different component on the appliance I would definitely consider disconnecting power. But the displays on these are typically stepped down to around 5 volts.

    Ours is flickering as well but I can live with that although I am wondering whether the flickering is a precursor to a complete failure meaning the stove would not be usable. Has anyone waited until it fails? Secondly, what kind of assurances does anyone have that the replacement display doesn’t start flickering a year or two after installation as they are likely all from the same manufacturer.

  • @stevenash3949
    @stevenash3949 Жыл бұрын

    Can’t tell you about the results after a year or two. But I can tell you in 7 months my parents haven’t had any further issues with the display or range. Up to personal preference on the choice to await total failure. I spent 10 days at my parents house last summer and thought I was going to have seizure after day two of looking at that display and my mom had mentioned it to me a few times previously. So I figured I’d be a good son and remind my parents why I’m their favorite 😉
