I love the Somero gear, I imported one of these to Ireland about 18 to 20 years ago. It increases the size of the pours you can do, saves on man hours and makes the man hours remaining easier and less physicaly demanding. Depending on the typically area of your pours these are fantastic. Most of our work was suspended slabs pours on formwork, metal decks and precast slabs. Minimum size of 600 to 1000 meters squared, with some bigger and some smaller. We were a formwork concrete & rebar contractor. We had a few concrete crews that worked within the company. 1, 000m2 = 10, 764ft2.

Theirs doesn’t. You can only use that guns specific wire because it’s not a standard one loop tie. In other words it’s twisted making it two strands of wire as compared to one. That and most tie wire is thicker and won’t fit into the gears inside the gun

HILTI tools? they are thief-magnets! so why buy new when the "red-hot-used" tools go 4 cheap? I don't ask eBay if stuff is black-market, do you?

I want a set!! Getting ready to start some footings for the season, after researching these a bit, I really think it would save a lot of time & labor. I'm just a small operation, so that price tag is keeping me from pulling the trigger, hopefully have a good start to season & can purchase by summer, I'm getting older & that really does seem like it would be a lot faster to set up, more accurate, more neat & clean product & way less stakes to be hauling around.
