    One more note: I was a lifelong swimmer (hence the malignant melanoma) and chlorine is so incredibly drying, even when using fantastic lotions and potions after a shower. Take a quick shower immediately after to get as much of the pool water off as you can before you go home. The sun is also drying. SUNSCREEN! Sorry, had to yell what I didn't do for 50 years. I have had zero issues with Mochi. I just got a delivery from Hallandale and it was sent as it always is... perfectly. I do a test dose with each shipment and I am, indeed, getting tirzepatide. I get a weird menthol feeling in my throat and my eyes and nose with Mounjaro (have since the beginning), so know when I am getting tirzepatide and when I am not. I have always gotten the menthol feeling with Hallandale. Sorry folks are having a hard time with them. They have always been there for me anytime I call or email. They have been quickly responsive. When I was a midwife, when women had bad constipation, often after surgeries or cesareans, they were given Milk of Magnesia... a hefty dose. If that didn't work, a bottle of Magnesium Citrate (at the pharmacy, standard shelf product) kicks constipation's ass. If it does not, that is a great clue to get thee to the hospital. NOT telling you or anyone to do these, but to talk to your provider and ask if these might be an option. I have done both of these several times in my life (after surgeries while on opioids) and use MoM once a week even now on Mounjaro. I will _never_ count calories again. Or log my food. _Ever._ Doing that for 50 years has traumatized me to resist that at all costs. I am still losing easily and am filled with energy and happiness. I am not starving. I give you a lot of credit to count for your audience. One more thing about walking... I walk at dawn (I am in Florida) because I have a history of skin cancer (stage 2, 3 times) and cannot walk in the sun. People who have kids tend to get up before they are awake and go for a walk. If you can't at dawn, what about at sunset? It rains here at sunset, so not as likely for me to get out as it is in the morning. Keep going, girl! Love watching you!

    I had a call with my nutritionist this morning and she fussed at me again for not eating enough. I've spent so many years doing OMAD to keep my weight from spiking, my calories have been 800-1,000 a day and it's hard to push past that. I didn't have an appetite and that was before 5mg tirzepatide. Making myself eat is a real struggle because I don't enjoy it, react to most foods and the dopamine just ain't dopamining. We talked about meal replacement shakes to get the extra calories and nutrition, so that's my new research rabbit hole. I did purchase a vibration exercise plate and it has been pretty awesome. The shaking and vibrating is great for circulation and is helping decrease inflammation. I am developing the turkey gobbler too. I'm hitting it with the acids, oils, rollers, lights, heat, etc. It's gonna do what it's gonna do. I've had slow digestion and constipation my entire life. It's also a throughput issue, if you aren't eating a lot, you aren't pooping a lot. When all the usual pills and potions fail me, I turn to Dr. Bo Colon Detox. Two of those and the train is leaving the station within a couple of hours. I don't know what is so special about it because I've used all the ingredients separately over the years but something about their combo just works.

So I took that today and I’m slowly starting to go but it’s like I’m so bloated and swollen I just hurt all over. Part of my questions is my SIbO is SIFO and the consentyx is also causing those wonderful candida. I’m hoping for more insight with viome. We will see. Yes I’ve made a chicken salad this week and I keep making myself eat a small bowl of it and drink my shakes and coffee with protein etc but it’s not pleasurable to eat and as bloated as i am it’s even harder to force myself to eat I logged my food into myfp last night from ww and of course it’s too few calories as I expected … but I was an IF - keto before all this and trying to change my eating habits is very hard bc before if I ate like this I gained weight like crazy. It’s for sure a mindset SHIFT but I know I have to eat to 💩… and to lose weight… and have energy to work out so I just make myself and log it and move on. Protein shakes are the worst sometimes. bone broth has 10g protein and u can usually drink it down easily warm like tea. 🫖

    Can you do a video on the lumen?? The reason I'm asking is because I hear it pretty much Just tells you if you need a low carb day, a medium carb day, or a high carb day. According to lumen, it's not for anyone on keto at all. So I'm kind of wondering how it will help with glp1. I keep hearing that you have to input all your food and exercise into the lumen app. Is this true? Is it true also that it takes a couple weeks in order for it to get a great metabolism reading?

  • @KetosisMom
    @KetosisMom4 күн бұрын

    you should 100% be eating carbs on glp1 ! focus is protein but you should also be getting min 4 servings of fruit and veggies as well on top of that every day. Keto and carnivore you don't eat carbs...outside of maybe a half cup of veggies or 1/4 cup berries etc bc your carbs are under 20 basically every day. With lumen you learn to rotate or do what I have always considered carb cycling. but aimed to YOUR body. I don't recommend Keto for anyone on GLP1 you're basically taking something to try and help you with insulin resistance but eating in a way that promotes it doing keto.... does this make sense ?

  • @KetosisMom
    @KetosisMom4 күн бұрын

    and yes it does take a few weeks for the device to learn your body. It is not a 1x blow and it knows. It has to learn how your body is utilizing food with the activity you are doing. So you would use Lumen app to log your food. and also if you go walking etc you blow multiple times a day for it to be able to give you a tailored output of how your body is utilizing food. When I first started it kept giving me 45 carbs a day. then when it learned me I was getting rotations of carbs...45...60...up to 200 carbs each day based on my metabolism.That "flex score" is always what you try to build up so your body is easily able to switch back and forth in what it is burning. It is what helped me learn what kind of activity level I need to be doing to eat more. and which foods my body was utilizing better than others. I went from thinking carb were even to realize that is what not only fuels me through exercise but it also helps me think better, keep my hair from falling out, and also MY body burns more eating the carbs on * Zepbound anyway*

    Would you recommend it? I already track everything through the lose it app. I can't believe I have tracked everything for over 125 days so far. I'm upset because I've hit a major stall. I have 7.5 but I have 7 weeks left of 5mg so I'm debating moving up now.

  • @KetosisMom
    @KetosisMom4 күн бұрын

    if you think the stall is based on how you're eating then I think Lumen could probably help you identify that. But if you think you're eating exactly how you should be, and you're still having a stall then it may be time to move up and discuss with your Dr. I don't think ppl should move up with a 1 or 2 week stall. My local Dr says if you aren't down 5 lbs over 3 month period then they will discuss the move up. Of course WW clinic Dr will look at how I'm eating or the exercise and make a determination based on that plus my loss/gains over a few weeks to decide. Lumen is basically a tool I used going from Keto back to trying to "eat normal" that all my Dr's were requesting. And I also was trying to do but had gotten do used to having less than 20 carbs a day I found it very hard to know what to eat and when and how much etc.

  • @KetosisMom
    @KetosisMom4 күн бұрын

    p.s. 125 days of tracking is great! I try to log in my WW clinic which is basically aimed at just tracking g in protein but then just 4 servings of veg/fruit so I don't even know how much carbs in g I have been having. I may start doing my lumen WITH the ww clinic to compare the 2!

    @roxannecortez2455 How so? Honey is more sugar, more calories, higher on Glycemic index and is also on the sibo avoid list due to fermenting within your gut Maple syrup has fat whereas honey does not, it is minimal but it is still some. It also can help with inflammation in the body. It also has iron, calcium , zinc, and potassium for minerals within it and antioxidants. It's unprocessed and personally I think it bakes really well also

  • @KetosisMom
    @KetosisMom6 күн бұрын

    @roxannecortez2455 This is basically what my GI told me when I questioned honey, and also what Google says haah: honey has been shown to slow down the transit time of food in the small intestine. This delayed digestion can further contribute to the growth of bacteria, as undigested carbohydrates remain in the small intestine for longer periods, providing a continuous food source for the bacterial overgrowth

    I recently started Akkermansia from Pendulum. I have tried IBS-D symptoms and have tried several different brands of leaky gut products, probiotics, enzymes, etc. This one is pricey but I finally felt I wanted to try it. Within 4 days, I had my first normal BM in over 8 months , and no more explosive episodes. I also have done some form of keto or low carb for the better part of 43 years. I had hypoglycemia in my twenties and hypothyroidism, but it has progressed over the years to severe insulin resistance, inflammation and prediabetes. The most I ever lost on keto was about 60 lbs, which stayed off until the next pregnancy or next major life stressor, menopause, etc. I have gluten and corn sensitivity , but do ok with non-GMO and organic versions. On Zepbound, I try to stay between 30-70 net carbs, 110 protein and the rest fat, doing 500 calorie deficit based on TDDE calculation.

    Let me find the 2 i ordered (Ill put links below) note since I am an amazon influencer the links are creator links (i have to disclose that). 1) amzn.to/4f8dzs0 2) amzn.to/3zRd2dR Those were the 2 I ordered. I also buy olive oil that is high in polyphenol. And Dr Gundry used to recommend taking a small spoonful of high polyphenol olive oil before bed basically. So in FL and NY my drs (all of them even OBs) were 100% on board with keto diet. They all thought it was great i was eating that way. Then when I moved and started having weight gain despite making no changes, and also having throbbing throughout my entire body - i had to try and figure out what was going on. Every Dr i went to in louisville did not agree with the keto diet anymore and all told me that it leads to artery build up, there are new studies that being on it long term were awful, i was going to the Clean Eatz place and even ordering food from there and they are nutritionists and asked me why i was ordering low carb that they wish i would stop bc it was the worst way to eat etc etc The 1st endo i went to told me, your blood sugar is increasing and you have insulin resistance bc of the high fat diet. you have to start trying to eat a different way. well as you can imagine the different ways of eating plus messing with my thyroid meds at the same time i started gaining and the throbbing in my joints just kept getting worse and worse. (It was the AS but undiagnosed). I went to 2 different Rheum bc what I have does not show up in blood tests. Only on MRI. The rheum told me I need to go to a GI bc he felt the inflammation was IBD related to the way I was eating plus by cutting food groups I had given myself a digestive disorder. The microbiome show on netflix was the first time I think someone explained it in a way that it made sense. As far as you have bacteria that if you do not eat things to feed them they start venturing out into the body looking for something else to consume to survive. i think 7 years on keto was way too long for me, and i likely should have been trying to rotate back in other food groups after my 2nd pregnancy and I didnt bc I wanted to lose the baby weight bc I had gained so much. I also wonder if my cosentyx is not causing a yeast /fungal growth in my intestines instead of bacteria overgrowth bc when i take the meds to help with the SIBO (antibiotics) it does nothing. When i was growing up everytime my mother went on a diet - we all went on the same diet. I think i should have just been learning to eat everything, in the correct portions, and whole food from a young age. Instead of Southbeach, Atkins, and slimfast LOL

    I always see the people online posting "what I eat in a day" and then when i think about if I ate what all they were eating i would be the size of a house. Im a firm believer in everyone eats differently bc our bodies process things differently based on what other underlying conditions we have. BUT learning your own body and learning what you can have that does not cause any kind of issues is big to me. The lumen and foodmarble both let you log your food and the lumen DOES give you a daily nutrition plan and recipes and example meals and allows you to track everything you eat as well. It was a SUPER helpful tool for me moving from Keto to back to eating a full range of all foods. I cannot reiterate that enough. I TRY my best to eat whole foods as much as I can. It is very very hard bc even up by our pool this summer the only "whole food option" for me is a piece of fruit. so i will have a chicken wrap or pretzels and hummus when there. I try to do everything in moderation and NOW on zepbound i only track protein and getting to that "goal"

    I have seen them before, DOs also. I used to see one in FL - and my moms gf wanted me to go see one that she said ran some kind of tests on the spot that would tell you what youre deficient in and what not to eat etc but they were only available on 1 day i was in town and it was not a day we had nothing going on to be able to drop and go do that. My husband hates any kind of supplements. But he also wont even take meds for a headache. My dad took a lot of supplements (as in he had a whole over the door shoe hanger filled with them) and he died at 59 of a heart attack. I think he also had SIBO that had gone undiagnosed for a long time, he had kidney stones, kidney issues, GI issues, high blood pressure, you name it he had it - but also had a supplement that was supposed to "help it". He had gone in for a hernia repair and they realized his intestine had fused to his abdominal wall and it ripped open. I had never even heard of SIBO until recently. But his whole stomah was protruded out in a giant hard ball as if he was pregnant for YEARS. So I tell my Mom...everything wrong with her and my Dad I somehow inherited it ALL! Therefore when my husband sees me with supplements he says "mmmm NO. we arent going to be your dad." I have also noticed my blood work looks a lot better off supplements. I take magnesium bc i think everyone is actually low in some form of it. I used to take turmeric and i felt it helped my joints but i stopped awhile back just to see if i "needed it", I probably do. I only have had vit D - magnesium - and calcium for while now. Then i rotated in those beef organs just to see for b12 - and they worked. So i wanted to trial some of their other products. My husband is already angry with me for ordering them on prime day. I honestly have so many dang Drs that i wish i didnt have to see them as it was. Pre Zepbound I was very anxious all the time - i felt like i was just waiting to basically have a heartattack and there was nothing I could seem to do to get ahead of that. Im hoping my next week looks good. I did not walk today bc i hurt my back with my 4 year old somehow yesterday so i just went and hung in the deep end of the pool from a noodle to try and decompress my spine today. But taking time to relax and stop stressing so much is also part of my problem. I ordered the viome test today. it is supposed to tell me what i am deficient in, what i can and cannot eat, etc etc I have taken tests like this before (the 5strands one i went over from amazon) that was a DNA test via hair strands. I am looking forward to comparing the 2 results.

    @jenf836 the first time I ever did a test was genopalate in FL and I was super into keto then. maybe 3 years in. it said with my body genetics I needed to eat carbs to be able to lose weight and be healthy. I threw it aside and said pfft what does this know?! the 2nd one I did was the 5 Strands and it, I question bc literally everything it said I had a "reaction to" were things I was having on a daily basis with no problem i.e. earl Grey tea so then I thought is this hair test just picking up on that I eat these things basically everyday and it sees it in excess? the microbiome tests are testing basically what's there and what's not. I am usually pretty skeptical about the do an don't eat things unless I'm directly testing after I eat. like with the food marble. I saw what foods I was having high H and methane with , therefore I eliminate those or severely cut them out. There are SO many tests. So many Dr's with their own opinions. And I figured out I need to figure out my own body and pay attention to how I feel myself.

    Girlll...you have ALL the things!!! Your health background is so complex and you work with some many doctors for so many health issues! Do they talk to each other? My heart breaks for you! What autoimmune do you have? I loved Lumen and did it for a year and I collected some good data! I actually used my data to determine that it was not my metabolic flexibility (mine was great) that was causing my weight gain. I realized my gain was hormonal and led me to try Zepbound! I would dispute your statement that "if you can eat fried foods the meds are not working" I eat fried foods/high sugar foods once in awhile and don't get sick at all. I am down 40lbs and feeling the best I have ever felt!

    @Mrsminamc The eating fried foods and sugar was more aimed at the ppl eating it every meal and not stopping haha meaning... you have no cravings curbed for you at all. I don't even want fried or sugar foods even when I will eat now. All of Dr's NOW have the same system so all my results and notes are available for each of them. I went to all the specialists trying to figure out what is wrong... I had lost 85lbs to turn around and it all came back plus more? I was bloating to the point I felt I was going to burst. whole body throbbing in pain constantly and no matter how little I ate even just meat all day I was still gaining 10lbs ish a month. I went through thyroid tests, celiac tests, colonoscopy, endoscopy, CTs and MRis for them to try and figure it out and I felt like no one believed that I was eating correctly. they all looked at me like I must be eating nonstop all day. a few of my Dr's would not even admit that the cosentyx was what was making me gain UNTIL I got on zepbound and I STILL gain the week of that injection. I really feel that by cutting whole food groups is what put me in the situation I am in and now I CANT have a lot of them

    @Mrsminamc I wrote that msg and then bad to jump in the pool after a kid so hopefully I didn't spell things too far Off lol ! But yes... my Dr's are notorious for not communicating so I typically take my bullet notes with the Dr notes and labs behind it to review with each Dr as I go around if that makes sense. I should not HAVE to do this. but I do. I felt like everyday for over a year I was at a Dr office for something. I have seen the MOST POSITIVE results of anything with zepbound. They changed my thyroid meds a few times, they also had me on metformin and I had a horrible reaction to it. one Dr would say you're not on enough ...another said they have you on TOO much. Your brain is not getting any sugar. At that point I got the Lumen... it just like you helped me see when I was using it every day religiously that it was not my eating. I was up to a 16 flex score I think at that time I would have to go back and look but I was going back and forth normally carb vs fat burn. One GI that fid the scopes told me there was nothing wrong. she was also fired from that practice. I saw my current GI that said "why did they not do blood or breath tests before jumping to the scopes???" even with this SIBO issue... I still try to rotate in apples for instance in a small amount and see how it goes. I feel like a guinea pig most days. So the fact that zepbound is helping at all is so amazing to me and I'm beyond grateful. Bc I told my husband you don't understand how frustrating this is to be eating right. try all these meds and my body is rejecting it all or having reactions. and my joints throbbing nonstop. I compared it to someone screaming in your ear all day long and you're trying to work or speak but you can't bc you can't focus. I was also on humira and enbrel during all that flopping around with different meds too. My last 2 years have been ..a Tornado LOL 😆 😅 🙃 I basically learned I am going to have to deep dive myself and get multiple opinion. I was reluctant to go on zepbound after how many things I have tried the past 2+ years

I get it in a liquid form to make it easier with dose titration as I started on 100mcg and have been moving up very slowly each week as dosing is individual and more is not always better. I think it’s typically dispensed in 50mg tablets for the more common usage of treating opioid and alcohol addiction but I don’t know the brand name, sorry. Btw there’s a misconception that due to the typical usage, it contains opioids or similar, but it doesn’t. One difference between LDN and contrave is that the naltrexone in contrave is slow release and I think it’s closer to 10mg so it might not deliver relief from autoimmune like lower doses do. It’s known for being an opioid receptor agonist but it has at least one other mechanism where it causes the microglia in the brain to stop pumping out cytokines and instead switch to producing anti inflammatory compounds.

And people have serious conditions and they are not just doing it for vain purposes but to better their health. So don't knock it just because you're specific insurance provider covers the drug, but whatever health concerns you have. I spoke to the pharmacy July 11th in Utah. And the person advised me the drug can stay out of the refrigerator. I want to say 5 days. Don't quote me on that though. And he even stated it could be like at a boiling temperature. We had this brief conversation because this was my first compound package. Looked exactly like yours and it was delivered to the wrong address Bo in the PA style. They have the right address. The pharmacy had the incorrect address and I had them to correct it. I wish wish this medication did come in a pen like trulicity where you don't see the needle. It would be so much easier, however I haven't started taking it yet. I wish everyone here well with their health. However you're able to afford it. Take advantage and make it work for you. 🙏🏽🙌🏽☺️
