I did not take care for my hair for almost 2 years(did not cut my ends, did not even know what a conditioner is...).So my hair is pretty much damaged right now.Even though I have long hair now,the lenght of almost 2/5 or even more of my hair is shorter then the half of the normal hair, because I have a lot of breakage. Is there a possibility to save my hair,if I really take care of it, without cutting it?What I was thinking was that I maybe could take care of it and after a certain time the damaged hair will reach the length it was supposed to have.and by always cutting a little bit of ,after a certsin time all my hair will have the same lenght again. Is this realistic?

Just atarted using Blue Magic in April 2024 and keeping my 4C hair in mini-braids/twists +weekly wash My hair appears to be thicker, and so far, I'm glad with the results. My hair isn't as dry anymore and is JET BLACK AND SHINIER than before ❤

How is it protective when it’s literally damaging your hair? I only do mini braids with my own hair and my hair is like 1 inch away from mid back length stop doing these “protective” styles

Hair grease is great for hair! Not so great for scalp! But we CAN use it on our scalp and thrive, we'll just need to shampoo once per week instead of every two! Your hair is beautiful!! Our hair is easy!! Don't believe the hype!! We don't need a bunch of expensive products! All our hair of every type is beautiful!! Our hair requires care, as all hair does, but as more and more of us have mastered it, whether natural or relaxed, and it's growing and healthy.....we'll hear fewer people saying our hair is hard to manage!! It's not! We just have to learn to manage it and some of the old school methods were fire!!!

I've dated and he didnt like my natural hair. He said i had naps in the back and i didnt but i noticed when we were out he looked a lot at average blonde white girls. I have a boyfriend now whose seen my head shaved because i cut off old toxic energy, when it grew back and sent him a picture it hurt my feelings because i asked him "do you think i can wear my hair in public like this?" he said "oh no child , we are not going to go around looking like celiey from the color purple" I thought my hair looked great. it was thick.healthy and soft but i think he likes it straight or a wig. He said he hates short hair. He does everything else right but he doesnt like my hair short its grown alot in 5 months but still not enough for him to grab onto. I think black men really dont like us. The bible says our hair is our glory but black men dont see us as glorious.

For the record, my hair is about your same length. I use S-curl moisturizing curl activator and aunt jackies mousse (purple and black bottle) on freshly washed hair. It air dried in 2 hours. You don't have to use a dryer at all! Especially if you use small enough sections of hair in each waveformer. The mesh helps it dry faster. And the mousse seems to help it dry faster than gel.
