  I'm bangladeshi sylheti, but I do not consider sylheti to be a dialect of bengali. Sylheti language is independent from bangla language. The reason why sylhet is part of bangladesh is because sylhet being a Muslim majority province voted to join east pakistan at that time.

  Most of the comments from separatists in the comments section are from Muslims that too Sylhet region of Bangladesh which shows their hidden agenda, nothing else. I am gorbito Sanatani Bangaali speaking Sylheti dialect with Sylhetis. I don't find any difference between Sylhetis and Bengalis on the basis of culture and cuisines (talking about Hindus NOT MUSLIMS).

  Stop lying Sylheti Nagori is just a script used to write the Sylheti language. The earliest extant manuscript written in Sylheti Nagori is Talib Huson by Gholam Huson in 1549. If Sylheti script is older than Bengali script than why don't we find any manuscripts in Sylheti Nagori before 1549? The Sylheti Nagori was mostly used by Sylheti speaking Muslims and not by Sylheti Hindus or other non-muslim Sylhetis. In 1961, 11 people gave up their lives for Bengali Language in Silchar, Barak Valley. The 1961 Langauge movement of Barak Valley was Bengali Language Movement not Sylheti Language Movement. And, Sri Chandra was not from Sylhet region. He was from Varendra region of Northern Bengal if Chinese Buddhist monk Yijing is to be believed.

  I am really glad that you have watched my video and took time to share your views. Everyone knows that nalanda and vikramshila were burnt and many books were lost. Same thing happened allover India including sylhet. So not finding evidence till now doesn't mean that history never existed. But, I have 2 point, how many Islamic language are written from left to right?? None. How many Islamic language has Sanskrit origin name??? None. Think about it. And about srichandra, you are right. But, recently, a copper plate has been found in sylhet with his name. So, I agree, it is debatable. It is always better to have discussions. Ultimately, it's neither your history nor mine, it is the glorious history of India. But unfortunately, we have obsession about foreign invaders, we believe, whether sylheti nagari, or science-technology, everything is brought in by the foreign invaders. After all, none of the kings/invaders ( even today, e g. Russia, )are philanthropists. They invaded due to their greed

  @@gautamchakrabarty371 You are saying that Sylheti language and Script is older than Bengali. Then the question is in what language Rajamala or the royal chronicles of Tripura written? Is it also written in Sylheti Nagori? You are saying almost all ancient and mediaeval Bengali works are actually in Sylheti language. Then the question is why don't we find the usage of Sylheti Nagori in these works. And for your information, There are many Muslim communities which use left-to-right scripts like the Turks, Malay Muslims, Berbers etc.

  @debayudhchatterjee1234 Malaysia was an Indian kingdom. They were later converted. And just like sylheti, Malaysia language is also derived from sanskrit. The world Malay itself is a sanskrit word. Similarly, Turks were tribes from central asia. They later migrated to arab and later captured eastern roman empire constantinpole (now called instambul). So they adapted roman or Latin script.everything is available in google. You can verify. Regarding the scripts used in tripura, I never said that sylheti script is more popular than bengali script. Just like bemgalu is more popular than maitheli, but every historian agree that bengali originated from maitheli

But infront of their parliament, there is statue showing Krishna telling Geeta to Arjuna ( picture available in google). mayanmar was called Barma or brahmaDesh, Thailand was called SyamDesh ( capital is Ayudhya or Ayuthaya, even today, King is called Ram) Singapore is actually Singhapur, that's why you can see the famous statue of a lion in Singapore. History is different than what we think🙂

  Actually today's bengali is a dialect spoken in kolkata region. We must remember that Kolkata was just a small village before the arrival of the British. It's not the actual main language of bengal and hence can't be called Bengali language
