Don't understand why Sylhetis are so embarrassed to speak in Sylheti in the presence of Bengalis. Why do we downgrade our language. We should be proud, I am proud of being Sylheti rather than a Bengali. We have our own history, language and culture.
Thank you so much brother for your hard work ! This video will remain a historical statement for the new sylheti generation.🙌🏼
I am a sylheti Muslim but have never seen by sylheti brothers and sisters of different faiths as different to me. I see all sylhetis as my brothers. Please do not let religion divide us. Joy sylhet, joy bangla
It is an initiative to rewrite the history of Bengali language. Sylheti is the oldest version of Bengali language
Proud to be a sylheti. I hope we can revive our original script sylheti nagri.
I'm bangladeshi sylheti, but I do not consider sylheti to be a dialect of bengali. Sylheti language is independent from bangla language. The reason why sylhet is part of bangladesh is because sylhet being a Muslim majority province voted to join east pakistan at that time.
Nice, very ,very informative authentic video on history of sylheti language. Sylheti is an independent language in its own rights having different dialects in different regions like sunamganj, habiganj, Maulabhibazar, Kachhar, north Tripura, Meghalaya and other areas which have been abodes of sylheti since ancient time. I am a sylheti with my father’s ancestral roots from sunamganj district Of surma valley, sylhet, Bangladesh. My father’s ancestral family were zamindars of Pailgaon , Sunamganj, jagannathpur , srihatto. The ancestral house of pailgaon chaudhuris is now a Bangladesh government heritage site.. My mother has her roots in maulabhibazar of Bangladesh. I am proud of sylheti language and sylheti culture which is unique and advanced in outlook. As a sylheti, I convey my thanks and gratitude to you for uploading this video.
Apni je basha e kotha bolchen ba upobasha jai bloun...seta nadia r rarhi bangla
Proud to be a SYLHETI, Love u bro!
My heartfelt gratitude to you Sir, for openly discussing the sylheti language issue and it's history. We need people like you to openly discuss this issue and address the wrongs that sylheti language was dealt by historians and I believe it is high time sylheti language along with its script gets due recognition.
What Sylhet thinks today, Bengal thinks tomorrow, India thinks after that.....🔥
What Bengal thinks today,India thinks tomorrow!
After reading History of the Bengali speaking by Nitish Sengupta this was a real cool video to watch.
I don't understand a single word of what you say, but your language sounds so soft and beautiful and poetic
