What a beautiful area, Scotland is amazing, whatever the weather. Stunning video. Thanks
Hi guys just watched your video, I’m just taking up bikepacking and looking at this route. I would be going over from Aberdeen and leaving bike at drumnadrochit like use guys, would be camping overnight too. Can you pass on any tips or advice on public transport etc and what to watch for river crossing etc. any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Drew.
Hi Drew, thanks for your message. The route is pretty straightforward to be honest. The main area with an increased risk is the route down past the waterfall at the end. The rocks can be slippery when wet. No real issues in terms of water crossings etc. The place we left Hamish at was good, no issues. When you go for the bus you must stand at the roadside and flag it down when it appears or it’ll drive past. Take cash as a backup with you for the bus, the card machine wasn’t working. The driver let us in for free in the end! Have fun. Dave 👍😊
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 thanks Dave….I know you left bikes at Drumnadrochit was that at a garage, cafe or relation ?? Thanks
@@drewnicol2455 Hi Drew, we actually left them with someone after asking for some help over twitter (X). They were kind enough keep them at their house for us. Try getting in touch with the community hub (the old tourist info building) they MAY help you out. 🤞🤞 communitysharesscotland.org.uk/loch-ness-hub/
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 thanks Dave that’s a big help….cheers
what a great vid!! ...secondly always great to see fellow fatty riders! ..i have a fatty & have just started doing bikepacking (i was more of a xc / DH & trail center rider on my fatty!) ive just comepled the Traws Eryri (machynlleth to conwy) in wales which goes through the Snowdon range, if ever your down that way, i highly recommend it!!) ..im now planning a bikepacking trip to Scotland, im planning to merge Wild Argyll & Tour De Ben Nevis on the same trip :) ...i will be doing it all solo \o/
Hey Tiz.. I’ll take a look into that Snowdon route, we need to spread our wings a little. That Scottish route sounds epic. Google the Badger Divide and the Carousel (Cairngorms national park) two that we 2/3 routes we need to get done. 😁👍😊👍
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 yeh I've looked into them, badger divide looks epic! :)
Simply brilliant, thanks guys
Hi Marko, thank you! 😊🙏
Cloud inversion and snoring. What else ? 😂
😊
Great video with super drone footage. Another winner 🏆
Thank you kind sir! 😊🙏🫡👏
Magical. Absolutely stunning
😊🙏 thank you.
Congratulations interesting to see a climbing route up. Thx for posting.JMO

Epic video. I'd love to be able to do what you guys do but can only visit once or twice a year from NW england. I was there last month, went with misty Isles boats. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. So glad I stumbled accross your channel.
We’re very lucky to live in Scotland. I hank you for watching, and enjoying our wee video. 😊👍
Hey, awesome video :) Can you tell me what the song that you are using is called? Thank you.
Hi Ben, thank you. I’m sorry I’ve been looking for it but I’ve lost the edit original unfortunately. 🙃🙃
@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 Ah np, thank you for getting back to me :)
You guys made that hike look easy. I've done it twice, both in summer with good conditions and it was quite the full day both times. Hiking through that snow is impressive. Making it to that ridge through the snow coming out of the lost valley looked a little scary. Great video!!
Thanks Chad, it’s never that easy despite it looking that way. The routes definitely a full day out. Take care. 😊👍
Great video once again
Thank you. 😁👍
Hi guys great video, just taking up bike packing and would like to ask is that a loop route or back the way you came…ta
Hi Drew, thank you! That’s an out and back. Google Loch Einich and you’ll find the route. 😁👍
How you guys leave the van for 2 days unattended ? That's my biggest fear ! Any tips ?
Yeah it’s a bit of a leap of faith each time to be honest. The only tip really is to make sure anything of interest is out of sight. We also often pull the blinds down and turn the seats in an attempt to make it look like we are either there or not far away.
Lovely video
Thank you. 😊🌻🙏
What brilliant films you make, I have now used a clip and given credits as promised, thank you so much. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fZmfqJdmdaqqYps.html
That was great, really enjoyed that :)
Glad you enjoyed it Brian. Thank you. 👍
Beans on toast (sorry, I'm done with trying to pronounce and remember the Scottish names :)) almost broke me on the descent to the valley. But what a view :)
😂😂😂🙏👍👍
What an amazing video, today I learned what a Bivvy is!
😊🙏
Hi there where can I order the rear bike rack setup your Mrs has on her fatbike?
Try Bothy Bikes in Kingussie. The make is Topeak.
Fantastic once again makes you want to grab your boots and go ❤
I know that feeling!
Beautiful filming. I want to put a film together of my watercolour painting demo of The Hill of the red fox. Would it be possible to use some of your lovely footage, about 8 seconds? I will of course credit you or your channel. Let me know if this might work? Thanks, Frank
Thank you for watching. 🙏 Yes of course! Use whatever you like. No need to ask. We’re not that precious. 😊👍
That is very kind of you both. I thought I should ask out of courtesy, not much of that around these days. I will show you when complete. Thanks and keep your lovely films going!!!
lovely film, what would bother me would be finding the route. it was very very sad to hear yesterday that a father and young son , from our county lost their lives in Glen Coe.God bless them and family and friends. We know what it's like to loose a friend in the Scottish mountains, eleven years ago. it doesn't put us off though, wonderful areas. Hoping to be back in July, may see you both one day.
🙏🙏🙏 .. its sad when this happens but at least it makes us all respect the hills a little more when something happens to people we know. Take care V. 😊❤️🙏
Hi Dave, just wandering, what poles do you use ? 😊
Hi Michael, they are the Women's Cressida FX Carbon 100-120CM Walking Poles - Black. Although they seem to be more expensive than when I bought them. 👍
Great video!! but taking the boat is cheating 🙂, need to do the hike from Sligachan.
Hi Matthew, hahaha we once ran to coastal route over the bad step. Hope that meets with your approval. 😂👍
I used to walk the Highlands with my partner but since our separation, I walk on my own , never quite the same when you can't share the amazing views Scotland has to offer . That's why i like your videos so much , you go to a lot of places I've been and i feel i relive them with yourselves as company 😊
Well I hope that’s a positive thing buddy. You’ll be sharing them again mate. Really cool to hear your enjoying them. Keep smiling. 😊🙏
So love watching your videos, working my way through them all 😊
Hey Michael, thank you so much. Means a lot. 😊🙏
Another fantastic video , thank you 😊
… no, thank you. 😊🙏
I think when things don't go to plan , it's all part of the adventure. Well done both for getting through it and a big pat of the back to you Lisa .
Hi Michael, I think you are correct. There was a huge sense of achievement at the end. Thank you for watching. 😊🙏
I would love to spend a couple months there. Reboot my mind body and soul, enjoy nothing but peaceful nature. Away from the crazy world.
There’s certainly not many places that tick all those boxes these days, apart from here! 😊🔆
That's a great luxury bothy there I've ever seen, beats Spithope bothy. Is this a pre-book bothy
Hi Lola, yeah it’s a bit of a splurge this one. So peaceful and calming. Total chill out! Thanks for watching. 👍
You both have such great adventures, in the most beautiful places 😊
Hi Michael, we try our best. Unfortunately life gets in the way of doing more. 😊🔆👍
What an amazing place , never been there, but will be on my list after seeing your lovely film .
Hey Michael, thanks again! Keep it for a nice day.. such a lovely glen to walk or cycle. 😊🔆
Just discovered your video’s recently, I’ve watched several now! Absolutely brilliant, fantastic skill with your photography. Great balance between the adventure and enough information. Pack rafting really gets the imagination going! I had something similar in my early teens . Got stick from friends, have continued with adventure over the last 50 years! Well done guys 👏👏
Hi Ewan, thank you so much. That’s nice to read! 😀🙏🔆 Yeah we need to get back out on the packrafts again soon. They make things all that more adventurous! 😊👍
Nice place for a bivvy camp clen coe is always something special
It certainly is a big adventure playground. Thanks for watching. 😁👍
superb again ..class place to spend the night 👌
Thanks buddy. Back at work now unfortunately 🤷♂️😊
You guys are very much encouraging me to move to Scotland.
Haha 😜 that’s brilliant to hear Alice! 😀🔆👍
Just perfect ❤
Thank you 🙏
Your videos aren't just brilliant and fun , they are so inspirational. Love watching them 😊
That’s the perfect message to read. Thank you Michael. 😊🙏🔆
Well done you two! Amazing adventure... Matty (from Adventure is made) and I are eager to do this trip asap... !! Question: You know the faster flowing section at the end of Veyatie, connecting to Fionn... do you think it'd be possible to travel back upstream? I presume by foot would be the only option as the flow looked more powerful than I anticipated...? Thanks for the help and sending much love to you both, Eze. EDIT: Perfect! There’s a trail there! 1.7km to bring us back upstream to Veyatie
Hi Eze, thank you for your message. 😊👍 Sorry for the slow reply. I think you could get part way up depending on what the recent weathers been doing. Possibly as far as where we camped. (In perfect conditions). You’d then need to portage past the faster flowing section then back in where it opens up into Veyatie. As you’ve seen there’s a prominent trail to a point where most people camp if they are paddling out and back from the eastern Elphin end. Have a super trip when it comes. Hopefully catch your video of it. D&L 😊👍🔆
Hello! You are both so inspiring, another incredible adventure! You’ve definitely got me seeking the adventure trails in Scotland! 🏴 I’m returning in half term to the Cairngorms and sooooo excited! I don’t have a head for heights sadly but so in awe of you Lisa and how you’ve been overcoming yours, I got dizzy just watching the paths you walked! Amazing! Tapadh Leibh! ⛰️🌲🏕️🌞
Tha thu làn di-beathte 😀🙏 - what a lovely message to read. Have a super time when you get here. A wee tip, try to concentrate on only what’s in your 1m square and in the NOW, breathe and focus on only whats going on in that 1m square! That will possibly help you a little with your heights issue if you can master it. 🫡🤯
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 That sounds such a great idea to try, will definitely give it a go, thank you so much. I’ve learnt so much through your fantastic channel and can’t wait for my next adventure! 🏴⛰️🌅
Lovely video pals. You captured the views so beautifully. Thanks so much for sharing :)
Glad you enjoyed it Calum. Really appreciate your message. D&L 😊🔆🙏
Ive just been running my way through your back catalog and have to say ive enjoyed every second. Some beautiful shots. Thank you for the inspiration. Steven

Those views from the summit-Bidean nam Bian in all its glory. Have you summited the Argyll big fella before? This is a fabulous video. I really enjoyed it, and you were so brave to bivvy in the cold weather. I hope you stayed toasty and warm. Cheers, Ian :)
Hi Ian, good morning. Yeah we’ve been a few times. Thank you for your kind word’s. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊🔆🙏
That was brilliant. First time commenting but added a sub too.
Morning, thank you for watching. Appreciate it! 😊🔆👍🙏
Speechless with admiration as to the walk/climb you did, the bivvy you made, the cold you suffered and the amazing views you had. The camera work was a real treat; and the music eminently suitable for the two of you and your adventures. To top it all, you both scampered down the zig-zags like a pair of mountain goats and then made us all hungry by showing us how to assemble a mountain meal to be proud of. You must inspire loads of people to return to Scotland and learn how to enjoy adventuring in Scotland again.
Hi Badger, thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed our wee adventure. If we can get a few people out enjoying the Scottish outdoors then perfect. Nice reading your message! Thank you. 😊🔆🙏
Very well produced folks, heart felt. That descent never gets any easier on the knees (for me at least) ❤
Hi Alan, You got that right! Punishing but the scenery distracts you. Thank you. 😊🔆🙏
AER is such a special place l often don't want to come down. Thanks for sharing and all the effort you put in.
Our pleasure! Thank you Andy. 😊🔆👍
