Thanks mate, fixed my 35xxSP with my own rips of FF 7 and 8. I now have just the .m3u files and separate folders instead of every disc listed in the game list. LEGEND!

How to use external cotroller in port games? I have an arcade stick which I wanted to use in duke nunek 3d for example, unfortunately the game does not respond to the device in nes games and so on the device works without problems and is set up from arch linux. thanks for the video, I will try the dos version of dk3d and from this site I will try to use my arcade stick, but maybe you have some tips

In my case on the Anbernic RG35XX H with stock firmware it was enough to create the folder with all the files you showed and put everything in there, including .m3u and the game cover images (so when scrolling between games I see the images). By copying the .m3u file into the emulator ROMs folder, both the folder with games and the .m3u file appear which obviously cannot be started .

The transition from 7:09, from your PC hard drive, to the Anbernic is confusing. You didn't put anything onto the Anbernic console, it was just still on your computer hard drive, then you opened it on your Anbernic? Did you drop the m3u file onto your Anbernic? There seems to be missing steps here?

I got one of the OTG cables for mine, and the power end wont charge my RG35XX. The controller connector works fine, but my console wont charge. This is kinda suck considering the battery on the device drains so fast. I have to choose to play or charge, but never both.

Both Ext4 partitions dont show up as a drive…and when i put the sd card in my anbernic it doesnt start to boot…just a black screen 😢

I know this post was nearly a year ago, but how do does this work with the file being split now? I've tried many guides, 7zip doesn't seem to work or even recognize the 2 SD card files as zip files, don't know what to do at this point.

This was the definitive tutorial on this process. Clear steps and simple language for an absolute emulation noob such as myself. Tested this out with Resident Evil 2 and now I'm playing scenario B as Capcom intended 😁

@SlimDeryck No, I completed an A scenario first. When emulated correctly, the game functions as it does on the original console in that completing scenario A is a prerequisite. I would double check that you input the disc 2 code correctly in your m3u file ✌️

i want to play Exhumed but i hate the control scheme, is there a way to remap it? i finally got y-punch b-jump and x-camera left and a-camera right on Super Mario 64. Cave story is atrocious with jump and shoot reversed, just awful. there is a config setting, but no matter what i change it to it stays the same.

I have a question, my battery logo has a plus on it constantly after downloading this theme but I really like it, how should I fix this? I don't want to just take out the plus image in the skin folder because it won't show the plus when it actually needs to be charged. But the plus is always there. How should I fix this? Also, did anyone else notice his battery moved up and down like 3 times although the time didn't change at 16:28?

Quick menu > Controls > Manage remap files. There, you should be able to save game remap or save core remap

I play most of my NES, SNES and early-game consoles on my N3DS and it just looks... *great.* I was playing the first Dragon Quest game on SNES with a fan-patch for English and I couldn't help but think how amazing the game looked on a smaller handheld screen. Most retro games just work better with a small screen mainly because the resolution, I think, fits it best. You don't need a modern widescreen handheld for this purpose, it would only make the games look worse by comparison. I guess because you can't get pixel-perfect resolution when even one pixel has to stretch to accommodate the higher-res screen. Though they can still look good with some tinkering, of course. But yeah... I completely agree. It's kind of awesome how that happened, because portable gaming for these games we never in a million years thought we could take on the go without some kind of handheld port for a system designed to be weaker that ultimately winds up being okay at the time but ages *so* poorly by comparison. Like you can probably enjoy Super Mario on GB/GBC, but you get a much nicer field of view in the NES/SNES versions of Mario, so why would you want the old handheld versions? Nowadays we can get the best versions, like Super Mario All-Stars, on a powerful portable handheld console with no drawbacks. 10-year-old me would have been *ecstatic.*

I'd like to thank you for this. One other side effect here is that scraping becomes a bit of a pain as all the folders showed up and artwork scraping ended up downloading for each disk and the art was showing in the wrong folders as a result. I am on a handheld and ended up moving the actual CHD to a parallel folder in my case it was /roms/psx so I made a /roms/psx-multi and moved all my "multi-disk" CHD to that psx-multi folder and then updated the paths on the m3u files and now all the folders dont show up in emulationstation and it looks like one clean game list.

I did the same and it tidied up nicely. One thing I didn't realise is I needed an extra "\" in the m3u filepath so the system knew to look one file location previous, if that makes sense.

here i was thinking i needed a second anbernic controller like the datafrog lol damn thing has bluetooth and lets me do any conrroller so now ima see if i can get gamecube to bluetooth ir if they make bluetooth gamecube and see if supersmash bros works without lag on n64 or gamecube emu

I've just bought an RG35XX. It has Garlic OS preinstalled, si no idea what version (probably latest?). I then bought an 8bitdo SN30 pro wired version with xinput (i.e. NOT the wireless Bluetooth version). I then watched this video and added the wait for usb file etc. I then connected everything up (using OTG usb etc). When I start the RG35XX it let's me navigate the menus (buttons not mapped correctly tho), but as soon as I start the game, the connected controller does not work. It also does not show up in the controller list in Retroarch. I read in the comments to use an older version of Garlic OS, but 1. I'm not technically skilled and 2. I would have assumed the issue would be fix by now (is it?) Any help greatly appreciated 🙏
