    The first shot sums up var in a nutshell. It makes decisions more difficult not easier, it never works and the referee gets the last word. Simple, no need for var Goal line technology is enough Better for the referee too

    Does that mean every professional player that misses "easy" shots is a match fixer. I don't think so. How about some hard evidence like, money changing hands etc.

    I lived in Sheffield at the time and was at the crucible Steve Davi’s did not lose the title he gave away under hearts orders to help the game grow in Ireland simple .

    Fantastic - I so wish even today that Fred had potted that pink after that wonderful blue, a having played so beautifully throughout the tournament.

    Literally got goosebumps again from Taylor v Davis. 39 years ago I was a ten year old allowed to stay up and watch that. Wow.

    Neither Steve Davis's missed black or Jimmy's missed black were gimmes. Regarding the latter, I remember watching it live and feeling that Jimmy left himself a touch high on the black. A pro would knock it in 8/10.

    Jimmy white lost another classic match in the world snooker final because he can not focus properly in the heat of battle against the best snooker players of all time davis and hendry. They have both got nerves of steel. 0n his tombstone will say greatest player never to have won the world snooker title. In the world seniors tournament jimmy was the champion reason being it was a very short match.

    Never mind the smoking, Bill Werbeniuk drank God knows how many pints of lager in tournaments and claimed back a tax deduction on it as being a necessary medicinal control of some condition he had (that the tax man eventually caught up with him)

    Ive just worked out why o sullivan won seven World championships.hes ambidextrous so technically he should have won the seven quicker than hendry. I know why he didn't. Hes not consistant and hes a knob

    It's the betting patterns that flag up certain matches, then those matches are looked at

    Jimmy missed a red with the rest against Alex Higgins in the 1982 semi final. Had it gone in he would have won that match and likely beaten Ray Reardon in the final. What might have been.
