Hakanpaa, is high risk. Don't sign him, unless you have some sort of an escape clause. He needs a knee rebuild, if possible.

The problem with that is, do they have the corporations to pay for the press boxes. That's why Quebec lost their team, they were sold out every game. There wasn't the corporation support so they had to move.

I think Niktia Grebyonkin going to replace Nick Robertson on leafs and leafs from trade rumors are going to trade Nick Robertson maybe Ducks for LW Frank Vatrano and pick or prospect or blue Jackets for LW Boone Jenner or Jets for Nikolaj Ehlers

Leafs don't have the cap space to make those types of moves. Robertson if traded will be for a draft pick or a RFA needing a change of scenery. Look at Ehlers playoff numbers there brutal.

@@late3619 LW Frank Vatrano better option he has 37 goals, 23 assets, 60 points he is 30 old but late bloomer and paid 3.65m aav for this season is a UFA at end of this season 2024 to 2025 and from rumors the Ducks are willing to retain some on Frank Vatrano if leafs can get the Ducks to eat 1.3m that 2.35m and David Kampf 2.4m aav would have to go to Ducks to make deal work and Ducks have cap space to work with so leafs could get a 60 point guy and very cheap good top Left winger to play with Matthews and Frank Vatrano would be great replacement for Tyler Bertuzzi

Its not really the same as Klingberg. 1.5M is burriable. 4M isnt. I think I know whats going on here and it has everything to do with why Alex Nylander wanted to go to the leafs as well... With these injuries and players with Injuries you often see 1 year contracts right. Teams want to see how the player will perform with the injury or after surgury. well in this case Hakanpaa wanted 2 years... that sticks out to me. He obviously needs surgury. I believe Hakanpaa knows the leafs have top of the line medical care. Im not sure if playing in canada if youreentitled to the free medical care or have to be a citizen not sure. probabl have to be a citizen but even just being in toronto with top of the line everything. puts him in a much better position to recover.

Salary structure is done after this year. Marner and tavaras are up. They won't be making 21 million between the 2 next year and Cap goes up. This year is the sacrifice to keep Marner which they clearly want to do. Get tavaras back at 5 or 6 and let marner walk if he wants more than 10 or 11 mill and you're good.

Hope Minten will be a long term 3rd line center. Cowan should be sent back to jr. because sending him to the wolves with that forward groups lack of sticking up for each other is not a good idea. Minten with the Marlies getting much needed ice-time is the best move. Yamamoto isn't an NHL player.

Some team that is not going to take a run this year might sign Gio as a veteran to help mold young players . If not a 1 game contract by CGY would be classy to let him retire as a Flame! I like Minten but if he is making the team at center we need to get rid of Kampf , how can you pay 2.4M for a sub par 4th liner!

I'm inclined to agree that re-signing Jake McCabe is a good idea. He's a solid and at 30 yrs old probably has some good mileage left in him...but he'll probably be looking for a raise and the Leafs have only been paying $2M of his $4M salary. I think he's worth $4M+ but cap space is precious...and finding $2-$3 million to resign him might difficult to manage...still...keeping good defenceman should be a priority. As for Yamamoto, I think the GM would lean more towards wanting players with size...and offence. I'm definitely a supporter of smaller players with high end assets like speed, playmaking, shot speed and acccuracy...and even toughness(like a Garry Howatt!)...and Yamamoto did have a 20 gosl season with Edmonton and was a 1st round pick who apparently has some speed to offfer but I'm not sure that's enough. The Leafs need to get bigger and tougher. So, while I'm open to anything within reason to help the team, I'm giving the👎 on it. Good suggestion though.

Another bottom 6 forward who will get in the way of our young kids so they don't develop here and they flourish somewhere else? Please trade McCabe. He is making 4 mil, he is undersized, he is not good in front of the net, he is not creative, he finds himself at the blueline with Robertson covering for him in front of the net, and we can get a good haul if we trade him. We have salary retaind on him and his next contract will be about 5 mil so HARD PASS! Even about 3.5 mil he is still a HARD PASS! Trade Benoit too (finds himself out of position too often) too while you are at it and get guys who clear the front of the net, pick up the right man and can make a pass.

Great video K.C. I do think Toronto had the best off season in Atlantic. Better Defense and Goalie in Stolarz. Devils and Capitals in Metro had Better Off Season overall. But Toronto got what they needed! In Players and Coaches.
