Marner not going anywhere. He will get resigned or he will walk at the end of the season

Something wrong with Marner and Leafs, he managed to alienate a lot fans and i dont care what the other players say, they let their true feelings show, on the bench ,in the playoffs.and saying they "love Mitch" after the game was simply damage control.

@@zascorpusa he wont be traded they going to re sign him because JT $11 million coming off the books, so they will use some of JT money to give Marner a raise from his $10.9 and use the rest to sign others player maybe re sign JT to a contract but for a lot less money. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Some folks are in for a big, big shock. The current Leaf team is is not a team that ANY coach can turn into a playoff winner! The depth simply isn't there to be a Cup contendor...

If the Leafs trade Marner, then they better get a first team Allstar in return. Someone that can make the players around him better. That’s what Marner does and that’s what the Leafs lose without him.

have you not seen berubes coaching record? outside of that run , his numbers were dropping fast, i dont think marner goes anywhere

@@RoamHockey I disagree, when you have players saying that they would "run through a wall" for Berube, then he must do something right, or they would say something else. Hes an unbelievable motivator, which is exactly what the Leafs need because there is a shocking number of nights where they look dead. Even with Binnington being great in 2019, one player will never win you a Stanley cup on their own, this is hockey, not basketball. There was a hell of a lot more to that miracle run than just Binnington.

I'm guessing the honeymoon will be over by the end of October. This is a ridiculous take, to give Berube a chance to get Marner going (in the playoffs), they want a return, that's the whole reason for moving him now. It's way past time to change the structure of this team.

If he doesn't waive his no move clause he is losing 12.5 to 13 million a season for that 8th year which he won't get if he goes to free agency. Thats why he would waive it

That’s possible, though he may decide to sign a shorter term deal (3-4 years?) and count on the Cap going up? The big Tavares contract will go off the books in 2025-26 (or if he stays, it would be at a much lower price). So is there room for a Marner extension with a raise? Yes…but playoff success will make or break that.

The too much for this player

Marner is staying with the leafs for sure and Marner works great together with Austin Mathews whick it did not show up in the playoffa playoffs due to the heath issues with Austin Mathews and William Nylander and the late injury to Joesph Woll for the 7th game with the Bruins otherwise we would have beat the Bruins Hands Down.

Marner is staying if he was going to get traded he would had been traded in first week of July. He will play till the end of the season and most likely get re signed 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

The leafs would get a kings ransom if they retained 50 percent of marners contract throw Robertson in as well. It would only be retention for this upcoming season. So not too bad

You haven't got a clue. Marner took a team friendly deal. If Marner signed for 7.5 million in FL, he would have made more money. You just flap your gums with no data.

8 seasons with this core 5 including rielly , and how many coaches came and left and couldnt teach these guys toughness , these 5 are soft always have been never will change , i think berube is an amazing coach and will teach the other guys well but these ( 5 ) wont change they are set in there ways as players , they get paid they are worshiped here man i want 3 out of the 5 gone !!! But MLSE so scared they will lose more jersey and merch sales they will never trade any of them

The Toronto media is using Marner as a scape goat because Marner doesn't bend to their will. The last 2 seasons of playoffs, the goal tending was the reason the leafs didn't make it deep in the playoffs.
