Greta Van Fleet is four young musicians - twin brothers Josh (vocals) and Jake (guitar), both 22, younger brother Sam (bass/keys, 19), and longtime family friend Danny Wagner (drums, 19). All are from the tiny Michigan hamlet of Frankenmuth known for its family-style chicken dinners and the world’s largest Christmas store. All four were raised on their parents’ extensive vinyl collections which helped give birth to the music they make today: a high-energy hybrid of rock’n’roll, blues and soul. With their debut album expected out later this year, the band has just released a new single, “When The Curtain Falls."

Oh dear, they sound like a few other Bands combined into one. Good on them for having a go. If you like Bands that are heavily influenced by previous successful Bands, I strongly suggest that everyone has a listen to THE CASANOVAS. It's like watching a movie about a Led Zeppelin cover band called The Great Pretenders. They sound like them, they dress like them, they play like them, but it"s just nauseatingly obvious that they are trying to BE them! THERE'S ONLY ONE LED ZEPPELIN BOYS GET YOUR OWN ACT!

GVF had me at Highway Tune. Wherever they go musically, I'm down for the ride. Their influences are eclectic, but ultimately they are 100% themselves. When they publicly burst onto the scene, their live performances weren't as good as their studio work. That takes time to gain confidence in a live performance. Within a few short years of doing major gigs, they've gained that confidence superbly. I look forward to many years of listening to their art. I missed them when they were in my neck of the woods, but I have a feeling they'll be around for a while and I'll catch them when they come around again.

Greta van feet needs some competition. Where are all the other bands. I'm glad I grew up in the best classic rock. Thanks talent back then, and they were only in their teens when they made it big!! All this generation has is them, kind of sad.

Frankenmuth is a cool little Bavarian village. Decent high schools sports teams too. We go there a few times a year. 1 hour NE of lansing.

Technical impediments and limitations lead to creativity and sounds that cannot be matched - Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi is a prime example. He lost several finger tips...he made his own...and due to that and the way Iommi plays because of that "impediment", he creates THAT SOUND that cannot be matched...and probably NEVER will. I think though this band will do well.....

The singer sounds like a cross between the lead singers from Led Zeppelin and the Scorpions..
said it before, these kids are not a copy of the old guard. They listend to the sounds the old bands were fond of and are making new sounds based off their own thing.
