Its My Time Lets Go

Its My Time Lets Go

Welcome to our channel. We specialize in Vintage pre 2000 bikes. "Vintage Harleys are My Thing" as our logo says. It is about Harley motorcycle repairs, fabrication, building tools I need, and of course many friends along the way. I got my first Harley, "Rosie" , in 1974. Still have her to this day. I have run an Independent Bike shop for over 35 years, and have built many handmade Bikes and Trikes over the years.
Now "It's My Time", as it is everyone's time, so "Lets Go" and all get at some of the projects and dreams that have spent way to long on the back shelf of life.
I am not an expert, or an instructor, but I hope you enjoy the content and take what knowledge you will from them. It is not the Gospel, and some of it will be strictly fun projects that I am now taking time to do and enjoy. Time is precious...Life is short, enjoy and appreiciate every minute.
I hope you enjoy our channel, Subscribe, Like, Comment and Share us out there and come back often! Thanks Ralph

    Now I used 45% vinegar I got in the jungle site. I left it too long in my tanks and the little pipe that goes underneath to the other tank just rotted right off.. Somebody had put sealer on top of rust in this shovelhead tanks I got with my bike so I mean they're trash but I thought I'd try it but you do after not let it sit too long mine was like a couple days

    Hey bud I got a 1981 FXS a month ago. I have two problems that I need your advice on. First the motor holds 20 to 30 lbs. oil pressure but doesn’t seem to be pumping oil back to the tank just bubbles on surface. Second it has double plug heads it has long shank plugs on left side and short shank on the right side. I have to grind a spark plug socket as thin as I dare and remove exhaust push rod tube clip to even get to the front right side plug. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I also own a 1982 FXS and have none of these problems. As you can probably tell these are my first two shovels. Thanks bud. You take care and ride safe.

    Hello John. If you send me an email to [email protected] we can discuss it further and maybe I can give you some suggestions as to where to start to look. As far as it being tight to get at the second plug, that is often the way they are especially if who ever did it did not enlarge the hole enough for a regular plug socket. They probably measured a thin socket they had and made the hole for that, ot that was the OD of the milling cutter used. The area is tight there to begin with there. Sockets often come in different OD's depending on the manufacture. Thanks for the question and commenting.

  • @itsmytimeletsgo
    @itsmytimeletsgo3 күн бұрын

    Aftermarket stuff is getting worse for sure. You pretty well have to buy brand name quality to be sure, espeicially when it is an engine part etc. I have had some complete failures with products that used be a good brand name, and then they switched to overseas production, and quality went done the shitter. Lifters in particular. I will not use their stuff today. Thanks for commenting.

    Any shovel is worth saving I got a 68 that's been indoors sleeping what blanket for I don't remember 20 years? I'm 66 bought it when I was home on leave from the Navy in 1978 put at least 150,000 miles on that bike. I got to put a tranny in a 05 I got for a song maybe it's time to put the old flat side on the lift and rebuild her from the ground up . Good luck with your build sir something tells me you got this. 👍✌️ from south Carolina don't chunk the heads Dragon man in Colorado can make them better than new and he can dual plug them .
