    It's wild that Big Ben made it to 5k. I'm a Steelers fan, I watched his whole tenure, I love that big lug and his big arm. But the only reason he threw the ball so much was because the running game was really dismal - 31st in rush yards, but 4th in total offense! I love to see Ben throw a TD, and he's a great gunslinger and awesome comeback guy. But he was never a Brees or Manning or Brady in a well oiled offense that just keeps marching down the field. He was always a "throw it and see what happens" guy. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the 2018 season, where Mahomes was MVP with 5k yards and the Chiefs make a deep run, Ben was out of the playoffs and the considering retirement.

    5000 yards means nothing as many of these quarterbacks have never won a Super Bowl. Many mediocre quarterbacks have. Who remembers Trent Dilfer winning a Super Bowl for the B Ravens. Passing for 5000 It just means they didn’t have a running game.

    5:47 The thing about Mike Vick is he never fought dogs he just had family that did it at his home he didn't snitch and was of course the most famous so took the brunt of the trouble, if you're going to report on the man at least be accurate. You made it sound like it was a simple open-and-shut case when it wasn't. Vick was the victim of loyalty he kept bad people in his circle and he stuck to a street code as if he was a gangster when he should have thought of his career and told the truth. Civilians can't snitch. His friends should have protected him better.

    @@archmage7813 Lol, what was Michael Vick convicted of? The court of law convicted him of promoting dog fighting that's it so anything else is speculation or hearsay. So saying he did anything else outside of what he was convicted with can literally get you sued for defamation. So maybe you should pick and choose who you mention because again I'm using facts not opinions.

    @@AlmightyxTalks wow so much ignorance in one statement. Actually I have a freedom of speech so I can't get sued for what I say. It's protected speech. It's interesting that you pretend to be an expert in the law and show that you know so little about the law. What do you think? Promoting dog fighting is? He got arrested and convicted of promoting dog fighting. That makes the video completely accurate. I can't believe you are this ignorant. You should probably stop before you continue to make it complete and utter fool of yourself.

  • @archmage7813
    @archmage78133 күн бұрын

    @@AlmightyxTalksdid you seriously just post this statement? Are you serious? You want to embarrass yourself that badly? Promoting dog fighting is dog fighting. And even if somehow in some strange world, that's not what it was, you can't get sued for stating he went to prison for dog fighting. That's not how defamation works even remotely. Stating something like that is freedom of speech. I have seen some ignorant statements online, but this one takes the Cake. Oh my God. You seriously just embarrassed yourself. That's pretty bad man. Freedom of speech. I can make the statement that OJ Simpson was a murderer. Nothing he can do about that. I can say Michael Vick was a horrible quarterback and went to prison for dog fighting. There's nothing he can do about that. That entire post is beyond ignorant of all laws and reality.

    @@archmage7813 You can type a book and it still doesn’t change the fact that those are two different crimes and if he had been guilty of it he would have been convicted so you can be as emotional as you want it doesn't change the fact that in the eyes of the law, he did not do what you're saying and you could be sued for defamation because you are on a public platform it's the same as the creator of this video I think your education has holes in it, freedom of speech does not cover written or public forums like this comment section and or this video. It's just like if I told you KYS multiple times and you did I could be subject to civil or criminal consequences. But again you are speaking off of speculation and hearsay, not actual facts. Just because your opinion is one way does not make it fact lol You are embarrassing yourself because you obviously don't know the difference between fact and opinion.

    Mahomes could've never done this in any other era. He's a product of the new NFL rules where you can't touch the QB, ever, or cover receivers. If he'd played in the 80's or 90's, he'd be average at best. Football hasn't been real football in almost 10 years now.

    This isn't always the indication of a great quarterback. They have to be good but most of the time they had to have some problems on the team that required them to throw this much. Without researching, I would guess that these teams either had to have a weak running game, poor defense, or both. No matter how great a quarterback is they aren't required to put up these passing numbers to win games on a well balanced team, thus the reason there are so many Hall of Fame quarterbacks not on this list.

    Athleticism is not a quarterback "trait" - it is an added bonus if they happen to be "athletic" (or what everyone likes to call "mobile"). During the '80s the level of quarterback play was better than it is, today. The game was PLAYED differently. Today's quarterbacks, in general, would likely have worse stats than the quarterbacks of the '80s, '70s, '60s, '50s, etc. if they were playing then. They are not "better" today. For your argument to be valid, Tom Brady could not exist. Joe Montana...never a 5k passing yard season....but FAR better quarterback than Marino (and all but a SMALL handful of current quarterbacks).

When, I threw in the reason why it was able to be achieved was because of the rule change in 1978, and to show how dumb you are look at those stats, those are the results of the 78 rule change.
