    A jets wing doesn't generate as much lift so it needs to fly faster and it will glide faster and steeper towards the ground I've seen others give touches of throttle to prolong the glide before landing.

    I guess this is the vid you were talking about and what I can't understand is why nobody is chasing you out of the parking lot? Maybe because there's only one of you flying. We see you fly over your head which happens with a new flyer but how do you see after flying thru the sun 4 or 5 times?hahahaha When you are flying try to form some sort of pattern left hand ovals or right hand ovals trying to keep a constant altitude and not flopping around in the sky. When we teach new pilots that's a basic maneuver is one of the first thing, we do so the pilot keeps a steady flight and you are flying the plane , Meaning the plane is not flying you, got it. I hit a johnny plug one time with a 15 ton forklift at a job site. It didn't do anything to the lift but broke off the plug.hahahahahahaha

    Good job man! Time to push yourself, and try flying it manual without SAFE. Remember when you bank a wing over it generates less lift, so give it a bit of throttle to compensate, and to stop it losing altitude/stalling.

    I can go on and on about the stuff I've seen guys do back when we flew engines that used glow fuel but that is ancient history.hahahahahaha If somebody does come up to you while you are flying don't be afraid to tell them to stay off the field and that you are a new flyer. I was flying once out at Montauk New York and a bunch of kids came up to me and was asking a lot of questions, so I landed my plane and walked away. Later

    Thanks for reading my comment , I just wanted to tell you what can happen, and it does very fast. I don't know where you live maybe New York? Another example a flyer was flying a R/C helicopter and hit himself in the head a few years ago and was killed in Brooklyn or Queens. I don't want to discourage you but have a spotter with you until you become a more of a proficient of a flyer. R/C clubs always harp on safety in the pits and when flying since everybody is sue crazy in today's world. I fly at the old Kings Park hospital in Kings Park New York which has 10 acres of property and all you need is AMA insurance and a park permit for forty dollars. Later and good luck

    I am in Manhattan and am looking for places to fly. Since I'm not using social media widely, the only info I can find is outdated. I'm doing the best I can until I find a better way. And I really appreciate your concern, I can tell the difference between a person that really cares and one who is just, well, grumpy 😅 Thanks again! PS: I'm uploading a video right now that addresses this to an extent. Hope you watch 🙂

  • @josephryan6593
    @josephryan65934 күн бұрын

    I don't want to tell you what to do but if you are worried about your car park it somewhere its safe. Another thing I've been flying over thirty years and you are looking for trouble not having a spotter while you are learning to fly. I know a flyer who was sued for 300 thousand dollars after hitting a child when his plane got behind him and hit a ride at a fair. That sign you hit could of been a person that walked up while you were flying which I've seen happen. The person was hit in the stomach and ended up in the hospital and nursing home for his recovery. If he had been hit in the head the plane would of killed him so just be careful when flying. Do the right thing and join a club or AMA for insurance just to be on the safe side. If you want to know any more about flying R/C planes let me know. Later

    I love your enthusiasm, and I hope you stick with the hobby! Two tips to make your experience less expensive and frustrating: first, get a simulator, like RealFlight. That way crashes don't cost any time or money. Second, find yourself a local club where you can get an instructor to take you up on a buddy box. You'll learn way more quickly and make some new friends too.
