Its my best guess foreign towing numbers are different because brakes are required on more trailers then usa.
Excellent video. My Z3 encountered a water leak into the trunk area. The butyl tape in this tacking bow area was literally melted down inside, due to the high heat of the summer. I will need to remove the back side of this soft top and redo the butyl tape. Your video allowed me how to remove this tacking bow bolts, without removing the rest of the soft top. Thank you so much for the information. Instead of using the butyl tape, I might use a silicone sealant, or urethane sealant. They don't melt under the sun, but it may be extremely difficult to remove next time.
Thanks for sharing.
Exciting! Thanks for sharing and great editing!
First time watcher! Love your vid!! Absolutely phenomenal depth, and very educational!! What's go-ing on??!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:30 that's me... installed the CVT cooler myself and no problem since then :)
How did you program the Scanguage to show the oil temperature? I set mine to show air temp, cvt temp, water temp and battery voltage.
After I installed these headlights my fog lights on the z3 don’t work now? Any ideas?

I'm confused here. I have a 97 1.9 that came with 138 hp from factory and you've been spending all this time and money on a 2.5 6 banger, just to have 147 and then 159 hp. Ridiculous. My M54 330i has 225 from factory. Stop spending money and dump an M54 in it!
Excellent install and video. Great job and looks much better.
Really good video 👍👍👍
Good video. I've had mine since 2013 with extra battery. Sometimes the low torque is all you want for certain projects. Great for around the house.
Did you pick the red? I'm about to pull the trigger at Turner's and they show theirs in red. I want them blue.
I received contact from H&R and they only make them in red for the Z3. Any input on how to make them black without peeling off the red powdercoat is appreciated. Thanks in advance. FYI, I wanted blue because my other 2 bimmers have blue.
Can I do this for my AWD 2015 subaru crosstrek?? Planning on hauling my belongings from TX to AZ AND THEN TO UTAH.
Did the rattle sound like it was almost coming from inside the trunk like from the top shock mount?
"Nice and tight" as it moves a 1/4in around lmfao dog please redo the wire, if you can't start wire you should not be working on a car
I saw one of your old videos of the ms43 conversion kit from Racemode. Did you ever get to install this on the car?
You deserve more views!
I got one but it doesn't light ☀ ️ enough than the older one.

Was debating exhaust but after hearing this its a hell no for me. Wish I could make my Z3 sound like a 5 litre Mustang. Oh well.
Remember your cooling system is pressurized to about 16 psi so your boil temp is much higher I can’t remember the exact temp but I know pressure correlates with the temperature a liquid can boil at
Would you still use the thermostat with the smaller mishimoto cvt fluid cooler
I put one in my 2015 f150 because it's supposed to be the best I've gone through4 so far they replace it with between a 100 to 75 shipping costs add that up I could by another radiator now number 4 is leaking smh
We have a 2020 subaru impreza hatchback and we are thinking about moving across the country and was wondering if it would tow something small
Not as bad as my 52 year old Datsun
I've driven coil over equipped cars, and they're great for racing but they will beat you to death on the street even when you turn them down to their lowest setting.
Any leaks after these few years?
Am only here because I have had a rear rattle for 3 years, since a friend replaced all my breaks. Noone could figure out where the rattle was coming from, yesterday I had all my breaks replaced again and I shit you not no rattle, 3years of annoyance is finally over. And it's the same noise as your drive around
Breaker bar! Great suggestion👍
Have a 22 sport changed oil at 600 miles. Cars so easy too change oil
So where sits this sensor???
Thats messed up. Im in New York and those slow inconsiderate drivers get in my way here also, causing me to have to go around them as soon as i get an opening.
Right!
I think that is a legit move to get around to slow drivers and people driving like thay are scared and this asshate laying on the horn because he feels violated 😅
😮 I think it's everywhere it's the people that don't think rules apply to them
Hahaha i got the same exact rims except they are satin black versions
Did you notice a difference in your mpg?
Appreciate video, would have been nice to have a better pic that showed sensor location with carpet moved out of the way
So, in your own opinion, is it worth it, I need a second opinion. The video was helpful, but was it worth spending that amount of money?
I realize this video is a year old, but I have some hopefully helpful information to add regarding the ScanGauge 2 that you are using. I heard about the Starlink issue and that there is a fix for it. I called them and inquired about it. They were aware of the issue. They can do an update that will add a delay to the startup of the ScanGauge. Evidently that will solve the trouble. It allows Starlink to boot up before the ScanGauge does. If you buy the gauge directly from them and put the word STARLINK in the coupon code box, they will do the firmware patch before they send it out to you. If you purchase the gauge elsewhere, you will need to send them the gauge to be updated. **This is not just a newer software. It is a patch particular to Subaru and GM vehicles.** You will have to pay shipping to them, but they will pay the return shipping. I just bought one direct and the receipt noted the particular Starlink update. I just received this and have yet to install it in the car. I have a '22 Crosstrek Limited. I have the factory receiver and hope to do some towing within the limits of the 1500 pounds eventually. Toward that end, this seemed a good idea to monitor temps. Another note: The ScanGauge 3 has a menu where you can program the delay yourself. Much less compact and a higher cost, but if you don't mind something more the size of a dash mounted GPS, this might be an option. (I wanted the smaller unit myself.) edit: Installed this morning, 1/25/24. 4.54DL is the revision listed on the paperwork. Everything is functioning without trouble. The startup delay seems to have resolved any Starlink issues.
Prologue is a riot
Does this mean you are now a nasty democrat too since Subs are listed as their preferred car?
Love the sound.. I may price out the same for my Z
I wonder if you can use the same CVT cooler that comes in the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness.
Congrat's for a good workaround vid. I've just got a 2000 UK spec. Z3, RHD. I live in France and need to comply with headlight reg's here. This kit looks fit for purpose, but do you know whether the lights are configured for LHD. I imagine yes. These units are manufactured in China I think and are available in Europe. A question: when fitted is it still possible to raise and lower the trajectory of the light beams, i.e. to compensate for car load?
Thanks Kludge! What was your avg speed on the parade lap? I'm thinking of bringing my Nissan NV3500 for it this year...
😂😂😂❤
8:40 cut a hacksaw blade into 1/3, hold it with vice grips and gently make 2 cuts, 1/4 apart in the junk stuck in the head. with a pick remove the 1/4" piece, then the rest will come out easily dont cut into the block and dont try a threading tool cause you can really score the head and that will never seal back properly!!
16:20 I have 1,000 of those clips. $1 each. if you take it apart you will need some because they jump off real quick
is this considered a “4 point” ? needing one to go to my local drift track
