Hello
love your channel 😀
Thank you 😁
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk can you do a video Glasgow walks 2024 but say my name in the video thanks
Thank for the video, i live in Indonesia, and we call Trig Point with Tugu Triangulasi in Indonesia, made by The Hollanders around 1850-1930, and right now i have a reaserch about the history of Triangulation in Indonesia..thank you..
Wow that's interesting I did not know they had them in other countries. I will have to start bagging a few of them 😊 Thanks for watching Rob 👍
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk we have here hundred tousands of Triangulation Pilar, divided into 4 main type, Premerie Pilar, Sekundarie Pilaar, Tertierie Pilaar, and Quartiar Pilaar, but also there's many of other types..
Just purchased one of these. Do you find the inner mouth covering way too big when you the cords pulled tight? I t seems really uncomfortable to me.
Not really, seems to fit well tbh.
What is the song
Love the slo-mo dog shots! What's he called?
She loves water. Her name is Beau
Brilliant video. Great views, despite the weather. I've never seen water going over the dam in the flesh.
It is well worth a trip up there when we have had a look time of rain as it is an amazing site. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob
😊
Cool
Really good review, makjng clear all the differences where others just say "oh, the Naturehike is a copy of the Hilleberg". Think I land in the same place as you, all the differences you highlight are really signs of the superb quality of the Hilleberg, but I just couldn't justify the price premium.
Thank you, yes the hilleberg is an amazing tent but the naturehike can do 90% of what the hilleberg can for a fraction of the cost. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob
I’m pretty sure they are both greatly beneficial.
My dog prefers dirty over clean water as well drives me bananas. Even at home shell leave her filtered water in the bowl until it collects dust and drink the puddle water out back
The only tent reviewer who actually knows a thing or two about real winter tents
Just wondering if you’d still recommend this? Thanks
I am using it today and I got my wife one last month 👍 So yes I would 😅
Are they standard or narrow fit? I've just seen the marine blue pair on Mammut site for £90 reduced from £150.
I would say they are a standard fit 🙂 That sounds like a good deal to me! Thanks for watching 👍
Lean Low is right next to our farm 😂😂 hope you asked my permission 😂 & Parsley hay trig about 1 mile away. Me and my better half finished the 88 last year. Edale Moor being the last. It's an excellent challenge. We have bagged over 600 throughout the country. Excellent explanation of the trigs.
Wow 600 that's good going well done, I still have a few left to get but bagged 5 at the weekend so don't think it will be long until I finish the 88 😁 Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob
I hope they do go through the with the proposed right to roam laws to give more public access to the countryside. I don't see the issue so as long as you're respectful, don't leave any trace, close gates and general commonsense. This has worked in Scotland for years, just don't go trampling across crops etc
Bin the Wife and Buy a Hilleberg , you wont regret it and you can thank me later ...
🤣🤣🤣 I like the idea but think it will cost me a lot more than the price of the hillie in the divorce 😅 Thanks for watching 👍Rob
I've got an oex one, ultralight weight flammable as f*** don't have a fire anywhere near one
I'm looking for something to keep me warm in this cold weather, is this warm enough as it looks thin?
It does offer alot of protection but it is mainly to keep your head dry. If you put a hut on underneath then yes it would be very warm. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching 👍
at the end of the day, youre really paying for wind resistance in the hilleberg, the naturehike will stand up to most things the hilleberg will with the exception of high winds.
Very true, thank you for watching 👍
One Tent and a better Tarp... 👎
Had a 3 season Wild Country Tent flattend in a 80mph forcast storm, got hillebergs ever since then , 8 of them. Price is your main citeria, safety is mine , plus will potentially save money as wont have to repair damage tents or replace tents due to bad weather or UV degredation. Seam sealing and reproofing is also a hassle I can do without.
You pitched a budget tent when you knew hurricane force winds were incoming? Safety doesn't seem to your main criteria from where I'm sitting. 🤔
What is your height and chest size sir ...I want to buy a jacket too
I am 6,1" and 40/42inch chest
Thank you for watching 👍
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk thanks a lot...I am 5 ,4" should I buy M or L
@fazzaahmed6702 if you are less than a 40inch chest I would go M
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk yes sir thanks I would go M size...I was going to Buy L but u saved me
Excellent a bit for wiping your nose, I'm gettin a pair.
That bit is perfect tbh 👌 thank you for watching 👍
Excellent Jacket, We don't have many options here in India when it comes to these things, but decathlon has become my go-to place for sports and other identical things.
Decathlon is a good shop, but slowly getting more expensive over here now. Thanks for watching 👍
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk Good content should be appreciated, i was just doing that, and so far the price is concern as we don't have much options so I don't really have anything to compare it to.
Love your cap...... Link please 😅
I will try and find it and get back to you 👍
Longstone moor which is close by, has also got a damaged trig on it, maybe the local farmer wanted to rip them down, great vlog by the way.
Yh, there are a few about. Because they don't get used anymore if they get damaged they don't get fixed. Thank you for watching 👍
Just been up there this morning pal, lovely walk even with the rain ☔️ thanks again Matt.
It’s $99 in the US
Tbh I think it has gone up a fair bit the last year or so 😪
Great review. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this video, I live in Barnsley south yorkshire and the peak district is on my door step (almost) done the three peaks this year and looking for my next challenge, so this will be it for 2024 😀
It is a really good challenge. Good luck for next year. Might see you at a Trig 😅 Thanks for watching
Hilleberg!!!
Nice review! How is sizing?
I would say they are true to size, but remember if you are doing a lot of down hill you want to go up half a size to take the pressure off your toes 👍 Thank you for watching
Thanks! @@AnotherDayAnotherWalk
Hiking is one of my favorite things to go!
Great chain Rob , would love to know what you wear over your socks , heres why. Since April i bought a pair of waterproof Gillets shoes . I shoukd of taken them back as soles started to come away after a month as the water got in. Next was a pair of waterproof goretex Mirrells ,i took them back to blacks and exchanged for another pair as they leaked water. Took the second pair back snd got s refund. Next was a pair of Adidas Terrex waterproof walking shoes. Again they leaked water in a heavy downpour. Back to Sports directs and this time a pair of waterproof karrimor boots. On a late night dog walk they got so wet in the rain that around 10mil if water poured out of each one . They too will be returned next time in town. Rob , im sure im not the only walker who goes out all weathers , the only boots i have that are waterproof are ex army Mendls and Brashers , both which are heavy. Can anyone recomend s lightweight ,fabric shoe or boot to wear with a budget of £130
I use a mammut, and they have worked for me. Only just started to let me down after about 1000 miles! It could be coming in off your trousers, have you tried gaiters?
I bought the same knife plus the sharpener from victorinox, which is great for all knifes.
Not seen the sharpener! But tbh it is still really sharp all this time later! Thank you for watching 👍
There is no such thing as bad weather , just bad clothing ! This gaiter looks great and what a brand !! I had a pair of Sealskins socks which lasted a year's ., shame that Sealskinz can't make the first waterproof hiking shoes that actually keep your feet dry in heavy rain and wet grass. .
It is good! Thank you for watching 👍
Have I been there?
Thanks Rob 👍Enjoyed watching .
I love this. So true!
Definitely don’t want socks that are just around the ankle line , you would end up rubbing on your boots.
The socks that are at your ankle line are for hiking shoes or trail running shoes. I do all my thru hikes with hiking shoes so they are perfect. But yes if you are using high boots I would recommend high socks. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍
Definitely going to check out the bridge Dale socks 🧦 out thanks for the reply cheers Matt
@mattroberts3331 yh, they are definitely worth the money. My wife and I use them all the time, and they have not let us down. Do look out for sales, or if you live near the Rab outlet in Alfreton, they have them in there often better than half price!
I live in Cheshire but always wanted to got to the rab outlet, thanks again I will definitely have a look cheers Matt
@mattroberts3331 yh it is 100% worth it can save some much money and all really good stuff! Plus they do blue light discount 👌
Hi Rob, I actually did it. Started on the road at the bottom of Mam Tor then went towards Lose Hill. Other way from you. 21.69 miles. 14hrs 47min. I was physically and mentally exhausted at the end but a hike I thought I could never achieve. I enjoyed rewatching this vlog of yours. I can't believe it took you 7hrs.😮
Well done! It is a very beautiful yet challenging walk. I want to do it again but with my wife as we are training for Kilimanjaro next year and she wants to get some miles in her legs. Dosnt matter about time mate you can now and always say that you have done it! 👍
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk thank you 😊
Hello
Congrats on 1k 🎉🎉🎉
Why would any one want to camp in snow or in a storm? Campings meant to be a bit of fun. Well actually for me, its a means to an end as I do it fish remote lakes. I think people take things too seriously.
I don't think you're evaluating completely correctly. Because there are so many points of view. The size of your monthly salary is essential. Number of expected overnight stays. The environment in which you will sleep. Whether you will carry the tent on your back, attach it to a bicycle, or drive to the sleeping place by car. The number of rainy days at the location is determined. The surface on which you will sleep, the floor, is always sensitive to cuts. Air humidity in places where the tent is used. It can also happen to you that you go to places where people are not as rich as in your country, Hilleberg can then attract thieves. Specifically for me: I bought several tents of different brands. Each for a different use. I like to try new procedures, so it doesn't just happen to me that I sleep in a tent for more than 70 nights. That's why Naturehike is in my hands immortal.
I´m thinking about buying these shoes. I read review that said they are very easy to scratch. Is that true?
I haven't had any problems with that just need a clean like most shoes, I have done a lot of miles with them and love them! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob
Naturehike is a far more practical tent. Lighter and also cooler in summer. Who needs a four season tent - probably less than 1 per cent of backpackers/campers.
Very true 👍
A great trailer to showcase what you're all about. Inspiring. I loved some of those snow shots and the cheeky plug you wrote in the snow for your channel. Some beautiful trig marker shots too. Going to watch a few more of your videos.
Glad your enjoying them 👍Good luck with your trig bagging
I've just got into trig bagging myself and it is becoming really addictive. I find myself cycling 20 mile round trips just to find some, then climb up on top and jump off with a photo. Your little collection here is great. I've done a few of those. I see you did Scafell Pike.... I walked right past that one in poor visibility not knowing what it was back in the day.
Your definitely right it is addictive! Have you hurd of the Peak District 88? I have done a video about that but it is basically 88 trip points within the Peak District that people bag. Mad to think how many there are and some people have done them all! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalk Yeah I was basically interested in seeing if anyone on KZread had done anything like this and a quick Google search brought your channel up in the No. 1 spot. I just watched a couple of your videos, particularly the Peak District ones where you set off to find what's left of a crumbling trig point. I have recently had to trespass onto land and over high spike railing fences just to bag some of these. I would be interested to know if you have a particular favourite, or one that is on your "bucket list" to nab?
@LordHeath1972 wow that's good that I am coming up on Google! Yes I do have a favourite and that would be Ben Macdui in Scotland. It was the best walk I have ever done and the trig point is next level beauty. If your ever near the cairngorm mountain range in the Highlands, it definitely is worth a days hike!
@@AnotherDayAnotherWalkhiiii Mr still love ur vids Alexis
I had one pair of these for 1.5 year. They litterally were my only choice stepping out of the house since none of the other shoes I had matched the quality. Just yesterday I had a crack in the base (only external) after so many months of abuse. I ordered a new pair on the spot. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I have done some very big hikes in mine and are amazing. Only thing is now the tred has worn away and don't have as much grip as they once did. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 👍 Rob
