Hi, I'm Kaew. I am born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand.
Absent Abroad is a visual diary and travel/food vlog of places I have visited. Where I aim to explore local hidden gems and the best food both in my home country and other parts of the world. In addition to my travel vlogs, I also share music playlists I listen to when reminiscing about my future travel plans. 🎧

Hello! I’m planning my trip to London, do you mind sharing which hotel you stayed in Kensington?
Your vlogs are amazing, they are so artfully put together with beautiful scenery. I like how you include the names of the restaurants and attractions you visited. You give just enough information without going overboard. I watch a lot of vacation videos and yours are among the very best, easily in the top three.
thank you so much! your comment means a lot 🥹💕🙏🏼

aaah yes I miss Osaka!! the food was amazing!
Which other place in Japan should I visit? 🤍
Do a deep dive into Wakayama. And I think you should visit Hasedera in Nara - in fact, why not do a Nara video of places outside of Nara Park?
@@panathenaeaI really need to go back there one day!
I like your style. This is so relaxing. ❤
thank you! :)
Beautiful. I miss it.
Love the quality of your videos! Do you use color correction?
thank you! yes i do :)
0:51 what are those clothing called and where can we buy them?
this is known as thai silk! different regions have different patterns so it depends on where you go so it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly where to go :)but a place that many go to is jim thompson’s factory outlet which is probably a good option if you’re in Bangkok :) - the patterns are more modern and so can be worn more!
@@absentabroad looks like it will be expensive in Jim Thompson, Sukhumvit Area one right? Any idea about the price range? And what about in Chiang Mai?
@@TemProduction Yes (the factory outlet)! But I haven’t been in a while so I’m not quite sure about the price range but another place just came to mind: The Old Siam - they sell both pre-made Thai silk skirts, and also fabric in yards (prices can range from 700+ to 10000+ depending on how complex the pattern is) :) - I think this is probably the safer bet!
Nice scenic walks, was that a short walk or it was somewhat a hike?
It was a 5-10 minute walk! :) Not as challenging as a hike :)
hi im new to your channel but i love your videoss
thank you so much! ❤️
Is it easy to order if you don’t speak Korean?
nowadays it’s easier to order if you don’t speak korean! but in certain places there’s only a korean menu, so it’s useful to use a translation app :) my friends also just tend to just point and use their hands to order!
Hi that was the period of your travel?
early feb around 8-12th! :)
