I always loved Year of the cat , On the Border , and more .. this past April I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Al and Empty Pockets locally .. I was snd still am mesmerized by these superb musicians who took me back to the incomparable ‘70s. I loved Al’s stories and humor too. I can’t wait to see them again soon ❤🎉thank you Al and Empty Pockets 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

My new favorite band! Missed a lot of the 90s music…was being a young dad and focused on career! Glad to get to see them live with the immortal Santana!

holy WOW! Check this song out! The crowd was ALL OVER THIS. The crowd filled in the gaps from the studio version and they were LOUD! You can hear them! Mr. Don Barnes got heated up! You can see him respond when the crowd is ALL OVER THIS! SO EMOTIONAL! WOWOW! Thank you for recording such a great song!

Imagine how many times he played that song... I have the album and all the tracks are great. Funny that most of the band wasn't even been born when it was released.

Adam's voice is significantly stronger now than the lives i saw in the 90s, his pitch is spot on. August & Everything After is a masterpiece, and the soundtrack to my marriage dissolving back in the mid 90s. The loss, the sadness, the hope and excitement of fresh new days, light, freedom, the loneliness... Thank you for posting this.

Awesome but Jeff Carlisi would elevate them to unreal heights.....Don and Jeff were players that fed off of each other...kinda like Allen Collins and Steve Gaines along with Gary Rossington in Skynyrd.....the people that know will agree.

I was a music journalist when I attended concert and after-concert party for Al Stewart in Dallas in 1976. He really didn't want to duscuss album but his backup musicians did and they were really nice guys. They also appreciated being shown how to open push-top as opposed to pop-topped Coors beer.
