The Bearded Gearhead

The Bearded Gearhead

Here at the channel we tinker with, repair, hot rod, and collect just about anything that has a motor. We find great tractor and equipment shows and meet some fine folks at those shows. We fix things that are broke and break things that are fixed. We are always out and about looking for new projects. We create, we build, and we hopefully help others out along the way. Join in and subscribe so that you can see what gets hauled in to the garage next. Thanks for watching!

It blew up because on diesels they have injection pumps and theres a screw on some that allows twice the amount of diesel which makes twice the combustion and to much pressure then boom

I would set the pump at 1466 specs. Around 140-145 pto hp.

I've seen a number of videos showing the 830 special but nobody has explained how he can shift all three transmissions. I have to imagine that with all the amazing work that went into that thing that he must be able to shift from the cab but how does it work? Similar question with the three clutches. Going out on a limb I'm guessing all those hydraulic lines have something to do with it!

Even though this ground has already been plowed, leveled, plowed again, and perhaps again, it’s still Impressively! Shade tree engineering at its most impressive. 👍 I’m envious…….

Sir I have the case 4000 sugarcane harvester fitted with cummins 5.9l 24 valve with VE pump and now the company has fitted the bosch inline industrial pump with the injecter nozzle and the pipes all brand new very similar to the pump you showed. There is 1 issue, machine is normal at idle speed but as soon as you on the blower and the base cutter the machine starts rough idling before this was not the issue everything was normal at idle speed so what has to be adjusted on the pump.

What you are describing actually sounds like more of a low timing issue or a low supply pump pressure issue. I would start there first

I have a 2004 Lull 1044C-54 telehandler with a Cummins B3.9T with what looks like the same style pump but with 4 cylinders. Model #PES4A95D120RS2880. Wanting to increase fuel flow just a bit from mid-range to top end. First things first though. Add a tachometer and fuel pressure gauges. Need to find a manual.

Really interested to know how this project turned out.... I have a 5145 belarus which is the new version of a 532 its 57 hp rated but the same engine as a 562 which is a 70 hp tractor the only difference i can tell is the injection same engine block as the 70 hp tractor. I'd like to turn my tractor up to compensate for the weight (57 hp on the same frame as the 90 hp tractor) it struggles when brush hogging on these steep VA mountain sides and i don't use a tractor enough to justify buying a bigger one
