Now he's the richest kan in S. Korea last I heard anyway.......and everyone who worked towards this dream was in some way impacted too,it must be mind blowing for him to see FANS donating money to chaities, effecting millions more all the time......from what he started wth a great idea to treat talent better.

You can hear it is very influenced by Charlie Puth…in my opinion too repetitive…I do like the lower register harmonies part A LOT but the rest isn’t for me. almost all kpop songs i have heard besides from BTS has that messy all over the place sound. especially skz id get why people like their songs. it should be catchy but it´s not. idk how else to describe it i get tired listening to it. it´s not relaxing or exciting it´s just like how metal music is to me that is also just noise. there is a few exceptions though and that is TXT songs i think i like 3 of them anti romantic is so good. and then IU´s love wins all, i like that one. and almost all psy´s hit songs they are just so catchy. and i can understand why people like the new Hybe gg songs but the styles is not for me but they are catchy. i think easy i think it´s called was my favorite. also it was not all bts songs that i liked at the beginning. love maze and whalien 52 is two of them but lyric wise make up for all of that. and i am not really in love with my universe but i do like jin´s astronaut.

I have a classical background and am now studying pop music in grad school, so when my fd told me about 17’s new song I gave it a try out of curiosity, with certain expectations! Honestly a total let down, to my side. First of all why use all the technical musical terms when they’re all meaningless and empty in context. Makes no sense and I found it a little offensive at first when you’re using my profession as a concept of your music, but used it kind of low in a way. There’s nothing I can relate to the song, like they’re throwing texts that seem fancy to the writing. And that must be the thickest baton I’ve ever seen I won’t admit it it’s more like a wand. And musically to my taste I found only the intro and the pre-chorus work for me, the rest, the rapping, the chorus , the bridge are all falling apart. They don’t really connect, the rapping won’t fit, weird switch and transition, no build up except for the pre chorus but it drops right at the chorus. And considering taking the classical background as a theme for your lyrics, the decision to go for that kind of chorus couldn’t be more bizarre. The pre chorus has been wasted at this point. The whole concept is a waste to me tbh, if the finished work turns this way. I really thought it was sth I could relate to, but turned out, it doesn’t bring a tiny bit of resonance to me. And even worse it’s the worse kind of boy group sounds to my ears, and that whole lyrics are nonsense, if I’m to be honest.

I was watching the video and an ARMY keeps on comparing XG to BTS. LMAO. Like BTS is BTS, own them however you want. But my money is on XG and will always be. Never been impressed with ANY GROUP except for XG. PERIOD. It's just pathetic how that fan can construct arguments that make no sense.
